Also a very good idea.

Yes it is. As Redfox said, if you use it to read back issues as well then it is a great deal. A few of the figure offerings have been meh but there have been some unique ones like Rescue.

I agree and both options would work really well. Considering Alpha Flight kind of took the place of S.W.O.R.D. I could really see it including Alpha Flight members and the other cosmic characters as you mentioned.

I just realized that regular Deadpool does not come with a BAF piece. So why the freaking hell does he only come with two swords? He should be loaded up with weapons. Also, why does the grey Deadpool have orange caps on his guns?

Orange caps on his guns/his guns just being made to look like toy guns in general seems to be a thing with X-Force Deadpool, as the Mezco One:12 Collective one does that as well.

This is something that is driving the collector community crazy atm. I really don't care that DP didn't come with guns, but it should have been classic DP, not the previously released X-FORCE version that got the BAF piece. Basically, people who managed to get XFDP the first time around will have to get him again the second time around if they want to complete the BAF. This one is right up there with 3 movie Star-Lords being released in 2 months, one which required you to buy to get an exclusive figure, while the other was required to complete a BAF.

I expect to see a lot of XFDPs (minus BAF parts of course...and probably the accessories as well since people like to stockpile them) floating around eBay when that figure drops. I still have the original Hasbro version, which I am happy with, so thankfully, it's one I can live without.

As for the old school DP only coming with swords, maybe it's to pay homage to the classic Toybiz XForce line version? I noticed the katanas are new sculpts and look identical to those old ones that the original figure came with, so maybe there is some sort of inside joke there. Either way, there are casting sites out there, and plenty of loose accessories on eBay, and most of us should have been able to stockpile a small armory by now even without them. I mean honestly, are your figures using or holding EVERY accessory they come with?

If not, maybe it's time to start investing some money into these things if you want them bad enough. I have been able to snag plenty of casted weapons for super cheap on ebay, in some cases for as little as a dollar a cast. Every time you go and place money in these things, it's money out of Hasbro's pocket. That is why they bullied many of the casting sites out of business. Money talks though, and it forces their hand to start doing better if they start losing enough of it.

I still believe that if the unreleased Blade head cast hadn't hit the secondary market, we would still be waiting on an official Blade figure. The same with many of their Black Series figures...

So all his personalities know which end NOT to point at themselves.

It's not bad enough that I feel personally offended at having to buy this Cyclops, but I still can't find the Dark Phoenix set anywhere!

Since Hasbro recently brought back the old Ares BAF as a single card release and it did very well, I was thinking they might do the same for the old Ronan BAF for this movie.

For the BAF, I was thinking a Kree Sentry might work.

I was thinking the same thing. Northstar is overdue for a figure in the line at this point. How it hasn't happened already is baffling.

The Byrne/Cockrum one? That is easily the best looking Cyclops figure ever.

Yep, I will be selling him off as soon as I get the wave just like I will be doing with Paladin, most likely Deathlok, and of coures Gwen Pool from the Lizard wave.

In that case, they could have given him also a knife.

Congrats! He's an awesome figure. I'm constantly torn between whether I prefer him masked or not - as both the mask and headsculpt are killer! Enjoy.

I'm also a big fan of the blue/green skintone.

What was the deal with the other three horsemen whilst Hulk was War? Archangel had quit as Death - but had he been replaced? Was it the (modern) original Famine & Pestilence still?

I thought toybiz did some real nice hulk figures. I was always fond of the Mr.Fixit from the animated line i had. He had the mcfarlane face everything.

It's true. It's all true! I had my doubt that the leaks for the wave were true even with the product numbers, looks like I was (happily) wrong. Granted just one figure revealed but that definitely gives some credence to the list.

Bishop and AN Wolverine for me. This Omega Red is extremely likely...I like the TB Omega Red but there are parts of it that are too lanky. I think that's to facilitate articulation...it's just a thing where some parts of it really works and some do not. I can see me picking this figure up.]

Edit: three figures then. I see the Lady Deadpool and X-Men uniform Deadpool (easy passes for me).

Someone from Fwoosh posted the line up for the Avengers INfinity War wave 2 lineup. I've been fooled by posts on that site before, but I don't think this is meant to be in jest or anything. I've tried to be more cautious about what I read over there, but regardless, passing this along. Please treat as rumor for now. :

Malekith UPC: 630509682119 / SKU: 539875802 / DPCI: 087-06-0566
Black Knight UPC: 630509682126 / SKU: 423741082 / DPCI: 087-06-0540
Black Widow UPC: 630509682133 / SKU: 273751973 / DPCI: 087-06-0548
Wasp UPC: 630509682140 / SKU: 708270219 / DPCI: 087-06-0556
Ant-Man UPC: 630509682157 / SKU: 828597496 / DPCI: 087-06-0553
Thor UPC: 630509682164 / SKU: 534660390 / DPCI: 087-06-0546

My thoughts: Blah. WHere is more Black Order? If this is really the line up, total pass for me. TOTAL.

edit: thought about getting black knight but if the rest of the wave is that blah, I'd rather actually NOT show my support for this wave by buying a single figure from it. Not that my missing $20 will make any difference to Hasbro, but it's my way of rebelling on a very uninspiring wave.

So if this rumour is true there's not a single comic character not seen before. Where's Swordman, Mantis, Jocasta, Stingray etc etc. Not to mention new villains like Nefaria, Arsenal, Mongan Le fey. Might as well be called Marvel Cinematic Legends. Depending on the BAF is a pass from me, and I'm sure I can get the pieces anyway.

Exactly. I mean, I know that some of these will be comic characters. Many have wanted a new comic Thor so that will be great for those that want them. Many people did not get last year's SDCC set so the Malekith will be great for them. I imagine ANt Man, Wasp and BW will be the MCU figures so it will still be 50/50 split. This is no way an MCU vs. Comic gripe. This is more a...complete wave of no never done before characters. Those that remember the first X-wave, that was my gripe about it, as happy as I was to see the wave in general. I'm a firm believer that unless it's something like the vintage wave or a "best of wave" every wave should have at least one brand new, never done character.

And yeah, if the BAF is something really cool, I'll just order the BAF from Dorkside.

I am so hype about the new Omega Red... but I'm really kinda shaking my head at a second Deadpool wave. I think the contents will be great, for the most part (digging the Lady Deadpool, even if I'm not anything close to a fan of her), but I'm kind of exasperated at Hasbro branding it 'Deadpool' when it's probably gonna be half-full of characters that could also go in an X-Men-branded wave.

I mean, I'm all about supporting any mutant releases Hasbro does, but... I guess it just kinda rubs me the wrong way, as a longtime X-fan who's been watching the ups and downs of Marvel's mutant marketing for the past few years.
