A Venom wave...hm. Kind of a limited selection of characters to pick from without digging into Spider-Man's turf and wonder what the BAF is gonna be.
Would love to see Ghost Rider Venom just because I think it would make for an awesome figure. Definitely need Flash Thompson Anti-Venom or Mac Gargan Venom. I would imagine they'll do She-Venom and probably a couple of those other symbiotes to go with Lasher. For a non-symbiote character, I'd love if we got Mr. Negative. |

After seeing those new venom and carnage figures, they clearly look like the old ones that were released a few years ago just with different hands and head attachments. i think it's safe to say i won't replacing my marvel select Venom and carnage for these ones.. If they make an Agent Anti-venom, toxin, and possibly the new "red goblin" i i'll definitely dive in !

The interesting thing about potential symbiotes is that many of the ones from the 2016 SDCC poll could show up - despite NONE of them winning in their initial voting. My guess is Hasbro sees these are mostly easy figures to make, repaints and maybe a few new pieces (except Scream will take some work), and had intentions to do them anyways. I noticed there was no poll for 2017 - I think it's very possibly they got their knickers in a knot about the figures they intended to make anyways not being the easy wins they thought they were going to get, and nixed the poll.

There is no grey goblin sir ! it's norman osborn somehow obtaining the carnage symbiote in the upcoming Amazing spider-man story arc. this is also apparently Dan slott's last story with Amazing spider-man !

Venom looks nice but he's not different enough to make me buy again.
But yay, now I can buy a Carnage! I love his design but can't afford the original. I'd love an Agent Anti-Venom as well. |

Venom Gargon? Really? What is needed is a new figure of classic Scorpion Matt Gargon. A re-do of that TB fig is way overdo. And plz don't make him a giant Hasbro. This is the only version that need be done of him. None of that recent BS with lobster claws looking like a mutant.

I imagine it's also there to be a counterpart to 90s Cable, though the 90s wasn't exactly the height of their interactions...

A simpler design. Modern DP has more details on his costume, more padding and straps, fabric piping, different kinds of weapons storage. 90s DP is much more 'smooth,' being essentially just a spandex suit with some pouches thrown on here and there. I think the 90s one is a 'glossier' costume, too, with brighter red and sharper black, though I'd need to compare the two figures directly.

![]() ![]() versus ![]() Subtle differences, sure, but different enough to note them. EDIT: After posting those, I realize... Liefeld had NO idea how to draw characters holding things, did he? I mean, look at the 'shotgun' Wade's got! The trigger guard goes all the way down over the majority of his hand! How did he get away with this stuff?!

the demographic didn't care about the anatomical correctness of his characters..in fact in some ways that was a selling point. I thought some of the proportions were ridiculous, but I get it..but the thing that bothers me more than anything even now is the man simply cannot draw feet.

Asides from not being able to draw ankles to save his life, the man also drew the longest Giraffe legs on both male/female characters that I ever saw. He was just not great at drawing human anatomy in the correct proportion.. But I'll give the man credit for being very creative & giving us DP/Cable & tons of cool Image characters. Shame Marvel/Hasbro can't do image characters.

Got my new DC Multiverse wave in today- the only figure I really had no love for is the JRjr inspired Two-Face... but the red suit (which isn't split in half for once) looks like something the new comic inspired modern Tony Stark would wear- a swap later...
