Great pics. And despite my requests, Dark Claw(?) looks great. Though...why is Wolverine trying to dress like Batman? ![]() |

What is the definitive Marvel Legends Cyclops for everyone? I know a lot of people go back and forward with Warlock wave Jim Lee Cyclops and the 2-Pack John Byrne Cyclops. Personally, I choose the later for my classic display, but I was curious where most of you stand.

Anyway, a belated welcome from a similarly 'new' member! On another topic, can anyone advise what is generally warming/on clearance/discount in which stores in the US? My partner might be making a short visit in the near future to attend a funeral. I'm UK based so am wanting to put together a shopping list for her. I get that it'll vary from area to area - but any info anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated. She'll be somewhere in NV, I think. Neither. I was thinking Marrow & Ginger... However, I would love to have displays on my shelf of the original X-Factor team and original X-Men team to go with that one and the 90s version.

Slightly OT, but the next prop in the Legends series is the Infinity Gauntlet.

If I could get the Warlock wave one - with the straps all sculpted on instead (like the X-Men Classics version that was a bit too 'slim') - and with a swappable jacket and arms - I think that would be unbeatable. |

I have no idea who that character is either. I stopped paying attention to most of what Marvel was doing in the late 90s and that shitty ass Venom comic that tried to be The Thing sealed the deal when I realized I just didn't give a damn about Marvel. It wasn't until about 2 years ago that I starte to read Marvel again, but I am pretty much ignoring everything beyond the early 90s.

I am not sure if it's been posted and I missed it, but just in case:
(SOME/Regional?) Walmart has their original BP exclusive for $5 bucks, and a few other Legends (all of them were gone, but the tags were still there, so I was a little late and it's obviously YMMV). Was a little sad to see the tags; BP + Spider-Man Noir and some paint would be an easy White Tiger (Kasper Cole) custom. Also Star Wars Black series at 5 bucks and there were lots of those; Finn, Maz Kanata, Rogue One characters, etc (not sure if those parts are interchangeable?) |

Dark Claw is coming along GREAT Ken! I really dug some of those Amalgam characters. Partial to Speed Demon myself. Some of them were just amusing like The Big Question amalgamation of Kingpin and Riddler.
For anyone interested in seeing some of the amalgamations they came up with... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...ics_characters |

I'm sort of torn. Jim Lee is the costume of choice for me as I grew up with that era of comics and 90s TAS - but the straps are pap. Byrne is much cleaner so not really anything wrong with it. My display is still in disarray so I've not actually picked which one I'll be going with yet. Probably Jim Lee.

lol Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, about that. I stopped reading Wizard magazine during Age of Apocalypse. In fact, now looking at my Omnibus, Age of Apocalypse was a lot sooner than I thought it was. I thought it was in 98, but nope, it was 95. I guess I dropped off the comic world earlier than I thought I did and I didn't really start back up until JMS took over on Spider-Man (which was around the same time of that Venom comic and when the X-Men started wearing the lousy black jackets, if I recall). Damn!

I really like the Astonishing X Men costume for Cyclops, its a nice homage to the Byrne look with a modern twist, and Whedon/Cassidays run was (mostly) great. I could never limit myself to one version of him, but I just thought I'd speak to that costume's strength. The Wolvie Legends figure was great.

I like the giant sized x-men Colossus the best, then Jim Lee era Colossus without the yellow on the knee pad area, then Astonishing X-men Colossus since it looks almost the same except with rounded shoulder pads, but any shirtless Colossus is fine with me.
