I'm really looking forward to seeing this completed. I once had a plan to try and make a Darkclaw using Toybiz Series 3 Wolverine, a magneto cape and the bats that came with the old rubber-faced Morbius. It probably wouldn't have been terrible if I'd have ever gotten around to it - but I don't think any will have this guy beat once he's done.

Who is it that's making this one for you again?

This is just a test cape. There will be wires on the cape so the part you are referring to will be folded to hide the wire.

I think the black belt was from ToyBiz ML series 2. Iirc, the white belts are both from boxsets. The head with the teeth showing was from the 7-fig set (with Doom, Franklin, etc) and the one with the repainted series 2 head was the 4-fig Walmart exclusive 'Heroes Reborn' set. They were all very similar, to be fair...

Thanks for the link, I'll check it out.
Wire articulated cape sounds great, can't wait to see it.

Saturday I believe. Beyond what's leaked early, which is probably the bulk of what they wanted to show off, I would guess The Thing, the remaining two figures in the X-wave, and maybe another figure or two from Infinity War Wave 2.

A reminder to the world that we need a new Franklin (and a Val as well) now, too.

The 10th anniversary stuff looks cool. I did see that the price for the 2 pack is $50 and the single Iron Man is $25. Seems a bit more expensive than usual. I'm wondering if this is because it's a "special edition" type thing or if the price of legends will go up again.

Hoping a special thing. I know prices in plastic and labor go up, but it's still hard to believe that when the line started out through Toy Biz, figures were around $9 USD, and included a comic book or poster book.

At some point the price will be too much to purchase except for a select few figures.

If they go up to $25 then count me out of Legends. The jump after Hasbro got the rights is what made me stop collecting them back then. The funny part is the other day I was looking at the new Ghostbusters figures which are pretty much marvel legends with more accessories and better paint details, yet they were priced at $15.

It's already happening to the Transformers line - all but the hardcore completionists are cherry-picking (myself included), since Deluxes have shot closer and closer to the $20 mark, and the other size classes are following suit. But I don't see Legends heading down that path just yet - I think this is just because these are special releases with what appears to be a little more detail added.

I came very close to jumping ship when some UK retailers were trying to sell MLs at £30 (~$41) each last year... The UK standard price seems to be around £26.99 at the moment (TRU). The 12" Legends range seem to be £60 ($83) for Cap or Tony up to £90 ($125) for Hulk - so I'm steering well clear of them (even though I'd like to pick up a Hulk to make into an Awesome Android).

I was recently amazed to see one of our other UK retailers list the next few waves at £20 ($28) per figure. I know where I'll be getting my MLs for the fiveseeable future...

I heard that there may be a Stan Lee BAF in the cards for this line, so maybe the price hile is for the BAF?

Ah, I didn't realize that he had the flaps and stuff. I suppose that could make a difference. Regardless, I think I'll be passing on him.

With all the new tooling and the fact its "special" anniversary according to hasbro is the reason for the high price but i do worry if this is Hasbro simply trying to usher in a new price increase.

They can keep em at those prices. Effin things are expensive enough and the qc Issues that often plague legends sure doesnt justify yet another bs proce gouge.

I'm buying those 10 year figs for sure. That Evans portrait was the deciding factor in making me skip the Infinity War version. And that Iron Man figure is the one that has been missing in my collection for years now.
