Agreed...though my issue is that the head sculpt they used makes her look about 20 years older than she should be. It almost looks like the Sue Storm sculpt. Whenever I envision Dagger, I always see her as a teen up to someone in their very early 20s.

Oh Hasbro...that Killmonger two box set reeks of super dickery. You had the head sculpt all along, and then release it with the body to a figure we already have with no real new accessories. And then you pair him with generic agent dude instead of Klaw.

**** you. May the casters get their hands on that sculpt, and may that box set languish on shelves forever.

surfer looks alitte beefy, they should have made him slender. its a pass for me on surfer, ill get another version that i like. they should have made Killmonger with tribal clothing, they keep showing him in the copy cat suit, smh.

@Ken That Darkclaw is FANTASTIC. Great work! Thanks for sharing

General-
There are a few of these new figs I'll be grabbing but not many.

The BP 2 pack is pretty disappointing. They could have just included the Killmonger head with the original figure, it would have been film inaccurate, but so is this.

Shuri seems a way more natural fit with Ross.

(And there should be a tactical Killmonger / Klaue 2pk and a wonderful Warrior Falls 3 pack and... sometimes dreams come true! )

Back to the Killmonger/Ross - A couple of questions for you guys that have been collecting a while. When do store exclusives like this begin showing up in store?

Also -Was the Thor Valkyrie 2 pack a Target exclusive? If so I guess waiting is the name of the game to a get a head + Ross.

Ok, so if you've saw my posts today detailing my thoughts on the reveals and the link to the press pics over at Fwoosh, then you may have guessed that the Thing was my most anticipated Marvel Legend for NYTF. Clearly I was hyping him up in my mind and after seeing the press pic, he's not quite living up to that hype. But after taking some time to cool down, I am liking this figure the more I see it. I think my biggest problem is that I was picturing something similar to the ToyBiz ML Series 2 Thing head sculpt for this new figure. It's just what I think of when I see the Thing. The new figure clearly isn't that but I am starting to really like it. I have a feeling that the press pic isn't do the figure any favors. I disliked the angry head sculpt for the 14" ML Hulk when I saw the press pics but found that I actually liked it once I had it in hand. I would imagine that something similar will happen. I'm very much looking forward to seeing pics of the actual figure instead of something photoshopped along with the alternate head.

Couple extra thoughts:
  1. I'm pleasantly surprised by the new Silver Surfer. This is the first SS I've wanted since the SS in the Fantastic Four Minimates wave from several years ago.
  2. The Sauron BAF is made from the ASM Lizard figure. Hasbro did a custom of Sauron for an SDCC diorama using that same Lizard figure as a base.

Dang it. I want Ross and the headsculpt...why couldn't he have been in his tribal clothes?

So my buy list is:

Ant Man and Yellow Jacket
Wasp
Poison
Carnage
Mk.I and Tony
Ronan
Red Skull
Vision and Scarlet Witch

Wolverine is a maybe.

Killmonger and Ross will wait until it hits that $20 Mark the other packs have.

Thing is also supposed to come with an alternate head sculpt without teeth, so maybe that might change people's hang ups over it. I think he looks fine as is.

Didn't see the Stinger/Ant Man pics anywhere on some of the other sites, so I thought I'd post it here. Not bad. I rather like it a lot.

IMO Toybiz Bishop is still better. Much more Detail in sculpting and paint.

The scale of the Thing will be the make or break for me. If he's 7' or taller, no buy for me. I'll just buy the Hasbro Ronan BAF wave Thing & buy a toybiz wave 2 headcast & make my own classic in scale Thing figure. Like this customizer did a few yrs ago.

That Silver Surfer though came out great!

Nice. I'd have preferred Stature but they'd probably need an Icons body to make it and I don't know if they made any female Icons.

I don't like the ball joints below the hips... I think it makes the figure look ugly. The way they do the thigh swivels now is much better IMO.

Thing and Surfer looks superb. I just hope Surfer stays on his board.

My only issue with Dagger is that she should be using the Domino/Mockingbird upper body. I don't like how her collar-like neck is just painted on. Hell, they could have just retooled the Dazzler torso.

Can't agree with you at all. Those hips/thighs are horrendous looking.

He's supposed to have an alternate head. I don't see anything wrong with it though.

Across the board ToyBiz's paint and deco work is superior to Hasbro's (since they spent more money on actually painting the figures than Hasbro does) but in this case, I much prefer the proportions on the new Bishop.

EDIT: Actually the one area where ToyBiz's paint work was probably inferior to Hasbro's was when it came to capturing actor likenesses, but that's more of a technological issue since the whole 3D print technique is relatively new.

Not everyone has a PhD in customization.

Plus, people shouldn't have to customize figures they bought.
