So the new winter soldier seems to be following the trend of... less than satisfactory Buckys. So I popped out one of the 3$ CW ones I got on clearance at Walmart and tried to make him look a bit less durpy.

Oh for fu...
Now the Deadpool that TRU did ship won't arrive until Saturday. For some dumbass reason Fed Ex delivered it to the Post Office this morning with a delivery date of Saturday. -_- What the hell is going on with these so called "professional" companies lately? First Amazon and now both Toysrus AND FedEx are proving to be just as inept at providing customer service. It's not fucking rocket science! You sell an item, you ship item, and you deliver item. BOOM! DONE!! As for that Avengers wave, I might pick up that Black Widow if the body is able to fit the regular Jean/Phoenix head I have since I'd like to have a Madelynn Pryor. However, if your package is at the Post Office today, then it will probably go out for delivery tomorrow. |

I had another "nice" experience at another Walmart today. It's a store I've only been to once before, but it wasn't too far, so I figured why the hell not. There's nothing at all on the shelves for Thanos or the bikers, I can't find a single employee in toys. So I go to the isle over and here is my conversation with the sack of shit grandpa employee:
Me - Hi, do you know if someone can help me in toys? SOSG - If no one is in there, then no. Me - Okay, can you help me then? SOSG - I don't work in toys. Me - I understand that, but I have a question. Since you have a telxon, can I give you the UPC of an item to see if you even have it in stock? SOSG looks at me, then at his telxon, then back at me, then back to his telxon. SOSG - My battery is almost dead and I need to finish scanning these. Me - Ooooooooooooooooooooookay, well can you get someone for me that can help me out? SOSG - Customer service might be able to help you. I can not believe how freaking lazy this guy was. All I wanted was for him to either look up the UPC for me or get someone who could help me. How has this piece of worthless shit not been fired yet? He's there to do a fucking job and didn't want to do it and naturally, customer service only had one person working with 9 people in line.

That's what happens when you use FedEx SmartPost, because FedEx drops the package off with the Post Office and they deliver it for FedEx. It's cheaper which is why websites use it for their "free shipping", but it is not in the least bit an expedient service.
However, if your package is at the Post Office today, then it will probably go out for delivery tomorrow.

Both are oversized. Only thing salvagable from either version is the wave 2 TB Thing Head to slap on the Hasbro Thing from the Ronan BAF wave & give a new paint job. I'm waiting to see how big the Walgreens Thing is actually gonna be & if I can somehow fudge the scale via customizing to get him down to a more scale accurate hgt. |

Dude what can you expect from these people working retail ? Granted i realize a few members here do that for a living, and a few others jump in claiming that's the only job some can get but still.... that DOES NOT justify being a miserable and shitty worker. Especially working retail where and when you are being paid to help assist customers for a living. Im awaiting a few members on here to come chimimg in claiming it's not the store workers fault, but due to the fact of how bad they are treated by customers and because of the low wages that they can do that. Once again damn Kain.. you really have been having a shitty week hunting legends. Maybe you should call it a week and start fresh next monday. |

Well I hate to hear all the bad luck about the Legends going around here on the Ark, but I had a Legends bomb dropped on me that I was not really wanting to spend but..... , after finding almost nothing but Paladin last week, I found a ton at Wal Mart. The Infinity wave, Riders wave, and the Exclusive Thanos. A friend with me bought Taskmaster and a Thanos and I texted 2 other friends that wanted Thanos and told them to come running. I also found Mr Fantastic a couple days ago at the Walgreens closest to my house when I went to get cough medicine. He was over in the spring/ easter section. I have to say I just love the Reed comes with the Ultimate Nullifier, it is a nice touch.

![]() I've heard a couple of different Logans mentioned, but I've always felt that the Battle Attack Logan (w/wolf) carried the best likeness to Hugh. When you pair the head with the X-2 Super Poseable Wolverine, it makes for a nearly perfect representation of Hugh from Fox's X-Universe, one that fits in perfectly with many of the current MCU figures out there. ![]() It's not an easy mod to do, as the head on the Battle Attack Wolverine takes some work to get off, and the neck on the X-Uniform Wolverine needs to be cut and sanded down as it is a bit long. You'll also need to find a way to secure the head to it's body, as the neck peg from the Super Poseable Logan does not work at all with the Battle Attack Logan. ![]() Took the time earlier this week to fix up the new Cap figure, touching up the beard, eyebrows and hair in a slightly darker tone with a couple of different washes, as well as paint matched the body to get rid of that nasty QC issue it previously had. Much happier with the figure now, and with the darker hair tones, you can actually see a little bit of Chris Evans in there. |

I originally loved the new Cap's face, I then went to "yeah that could be better" to "ugh, what went wrong here". That paint job has taken me back to liking it. Good work.
I saw a video by Toy Galaxy that had a Hugh sculpt on an Old Man Logan body and I loved how it looked. I thought it looked perfect. I found a MIB X2 Logan on eBay for a decent price, I wonder if I should grab it. And I should probably watch the X men films soon, huh? ![]() EDIT: I'm starting to realize, there's not going to be a cheap(under $40) way of doing this, is there? He's there to do a fucking job and didn't want to do it and naturally, customer service only had one person working with 9 people in line. Their first rule, in the training is that you must help a customer even if that means you walk them to the product. You will never tell them where it's located, you must show them. On that note, these employees have to figure out which one they want to do, help a customer or keep their jobs. If they help the customer, then that will take away time from their jobs which means they get written up or fired. I worked at Wal-Mart for about 6 months and found out quickly that the place is setup for a new employee to fail really quickly. You can either follow the corporate rules or you can do your job, you can't do both and if you choose to help the customers you will lose your job. If you want this to change, find the store manager and complain to them that you are looking for something that is supposed to be in stock and you can't find any employee that will help you. The manager will NORMALLY go out of their way to help you but, no normal employee will. When Fedex tells you, your package will be delivered on Wednesday, it means it will be delivered to USPS on Wednesday, not to your house. |

As for the Jackman Wolvie on the cheap...probably not. While the super poseable Wolverines (AKA black leather Wolvie) can be found at a reasonable price, most of the other Wolverines with better likenesses (Street Fight Wolverine/Battle Attack Wolverine) draw a heftier price tag. It's heftier if you're opting to customize, as you're paying top dollar for what is essentially going to become fodder. It's actually the case for most of the X-Men movie figures outside of the first. The X-2 toys were top of the line during it's time, and therefore tend to drive good prices on the aftermarket. The lack of modern X-Men movie toys only fuels it more, as we have not had a new X-men movie figure since the X3 Colossus all the way back with the Brood Queen wave. EDIT: If all you are planning on doing is a head swap onto an Old Man Logan figure the way that Toy Galaxy video did, you might want to look into having someone commission a painted head cast for you. There are several really good Hugh Jackman Wolverine head casts that can be found on eBay (many of them being scaled down versions of the excellent Marvel Select figure from "The Wolverine") with many of them being painted by the seller, for around 20 dollars (I personally recommend eBay seller camarodude1967 and can vouch for his work.) Be sure to look through the seller's "other items" to get a fair judgement of the quality of their work, but it might be a viable route. You might be able to even ask the customizer to dremel and paint match the skin tones for you to work with the figure you plan to customize it with. While 20 dollars for a head cast might seem expensive, it might be a hell of a lot cheaper than the route you were previously looking into, and if it still gives you what you want, you might be better served in the end. On Tuesdays alone: Eric, a bus driver, would come in wanting the newest R&B and hip hop CDs. Shane, who would come in during his lunch around 11:15, loved horror and sci-fi movies. Chris and his mother Nancy would come in sometime between 11-2 to get the latest horror movies and Disney movies. Rick loved action movies, so he always wanted something with explosions in it. Richard was also a Disney fan who would come buy around 3 whenever the latest Disney stuff came out. Eric would be in just before 4 to buy newest releases. Josh would come in on either Tues or Wed to buy the latest super hero movies and the newest video games. Tim was an anime lover, especially mecha, so he would be in to buy the latest mecha titles. Gary would come in sometime between 3-7 and drop about $200 a week on the latest movie releases. He would often also spend another $100 on the website for movies that came out that we did not carry. And so on. If the product wasn't on the floor when someone would ask, I would check out system to see if it was instock. I would also check with the warehouse in the back to see if anything came in. If it was something in another department, I would help them the best I could until a person from that department was able to take over for me. If they were trying to figure out an artist for a song, I would have them give me some of the lyrics and we would look it up online to see if I could find the artist and the album so I could see if we had it instock. There is no reason I should not expect anything less than 100% when I go into a store. I'm not saying the person needs to know my name, but the excuse that they couldn't even look up a UPC I had right then and there, on hand, is utter and complete laziness. There are no excuses for that behavior. That old fart is there to do a job and he simply refused to do it. Quote:

They won’t drive it, they’ll transfer it to UPS to fly it, as the USPS doesn’t have planes, then UPS will transfer it back to USPS to deliver for Fedex... pretty screwed up huh? And fun fact, the USPS, who as most know are always loosing money, actually pay Amazon from a tax payer subsidy for the privilege of delivering there shit. Yeah boys and girls, that “free” shipping everyone loves? Your still paying for it kid.

So it looks like my Wal-Mart's around me still aren't stocking Thanos to the shelves. All showing a case of inventory but being held for the reset which should be coming any day now.
I scored Gwenpool from Walgreens for $13 as part of the sale but the rest of the wave was gone. I asked the only guy working if there might be more out back as their stocking methods seem strange but he was clueless. I'm convince there was more somewhere cause this is not a location where I suspect alot of collectors are hitting. Might hit some other Walgreens around me today. |

If you want guarantees and faster delivery with FedEx, you got to bump up your shipping to their higher costing In-Home delivery services. Quote:
