Considering there are so many different ones. I personally have the marvel now version black and gold armor, then the hulkbuster BAF is simply bad ass, i bought the retro version that came with a retro toy biz style backcard and if course i just recently got the new and current armor figure from the BP wave.

Pretty decent week for me, no complaints. Got Thanos and Taskmaster a few days ago, was able to take advantage of the walgreens sale, so I decided to pick up 2 mr. fantastics. I'm using a Steve Rodgers head for johnny till I find a better one and the trenchcoat thing for now. Still wish Sue came with 2 regular hands. Was also able to take care of Deadpool and Spider-Man waves thru Hasbro. Cant wait for the X-Men wave next! I hope everyone here is able to find what they are looking for.

Does anyone know how I pay for an order via Paypal at Dorkside? I decided I just wanted to go ahead and pay for my Lizard wave now so it can just ship out whenever it arrives, but it won't let me change my payment from credit card to Paypal.

Considering that Chris Evans played Torch, that headswap oddly makes sense. Here’s hoping I find stuff this weekend!

If I had to pick one Iron Man that was my favorite across all of Legends, it would have to be the ToyBiz Series 8 Modern Iron Man. The sculpt was impressive, had great articulation, and really gave me the impression of a man in a suit more than many of the Iron Mans to come since.

Second favorite though is a two way tie between the Homecoming MK47 (I'm a huge fan of the Ultimates, so it's color design hit my geek spot hard,) and the ANAD Iron Man from the BP wave.

My Dorkside order with the Lizard wave arrived today, and I ran into the Widow Rider today at TRU as well. It was not displayed with the regular Legends stuff, but rather with the Infinity War display at the front of the store. A wall of text of thoughts on both to come from me later...

After stalking Brickseek all week, I finally found the Infinity War wave, Ultimate Riders line, and the Walmart exclusive Thanos. Just picked up Widow and Songbird, tonight.

How do like the new BW figure? I’ve seen reviews for the set and most of the gushing is for the bike and not her.

Entire Lizard Wave is up for pre-order at Gamestop.com. Just search Spider-man Legends and they all come up. It says they ship March 15. Snagged Mysterio and Spidey Noir because I think they will be the toughest to find in the wild.

Honestly my favorite IM is the House of M ironman. Very cool sculpting and overall interesting as a character. I still have a special attachment for the toybiz series 1 iron man tho.

I picked her up today, while I really liked the new Rider Black Widow, I WANT to like it more and I can't honestly due to some pretty serious QC issues and design choices.

On the positive, what we get is a mostly new body (I'm pretty sure that the top half is a slightly retooled Maria Hill torso, which in turn was a slight retool of the MCU Widow torso.) The articulation in the hips is right on par with Mockingbird, which is outstanding. The new Nat can nearly do the splits, so even with it's limitations, you should still be able to throw her into some wicked kicking and acrobatic poses. The minimal paints are done well (more on that in a bit,) and the addition of two heads is really nice. I can finally give my Dark Phoenix head back to Jean, as I now have the short haired Nat on the Vintage Widow (yes, the heads all work on the Vintage Widow,) while I have the longer haired one on the Riders Widow. Two trigger hands are also a nice touch, meaning that like other BW figures, she can roll akimbo.

That's where the problems begin. First off, no pistol accessories yet again. Luckily, I have things I can equip her with, but still, this is a problem, especially given the 40 dollar price tag. Secondly, there's some QC issues to be had. Mine had three major ones, and there would most likely be more had I not examined packages before leaving TRU.

First, there is a seam that runs down the middle of the body of the figure, all the way up through the top of the neck. This is probably a retooling issue, and while mine is barely noticeable, it is there. This issue will vary from figure to figure, depending on how the figure is painted. The head joint on mine is super loose as well. Give her a shake, and she can head-bang in a manner that would make Beavis and Butthead proud. If I place the short haired head on the figure, she immediately starts to look down. I currently have the longer haired piece on the figure, as the weight of her hair forces her head to stay up.

Going off to the paints, they are super minimal but they are done well, until you get to the face. The eyes and lips were all over the place on nearly every one that I saw, giving the appearance of BW being either really tired, sad, or really high strung. I swear, BW's upper and lower lip are also two different colors.

The hair styles are really bland, and I think they're unflattering to the figure personally. BW is supposed to be a super-hot, super-spy. Instead, she looks like a mom who just rolled out of bed ten minutes ago and threw on whatever to go to the grocery store. The hair pieces were also were not glued on correctly on the long haired one...I can actually see the seams in the mold where parts of the hair are supposed to cover and fit into place, and that kind of QC issue is unacceptable in my eyes at this stage. This means I'm probably going to have to remove the hairpiece and fix it myself, which any customizer will tell you can be dicey, because you always stand a good chance in tearing the wig as you pull it off the body.

The bike is only ok. The suspension is a nice touch, but it feels a bit undersized and could really use a bit of metallic paint or something. It feels and looks like a toy, and while if it were still the ToyBiz days (where you got a figure and a vehicle for a little under 12 dollars,) it would be acceptable, at this price point...it's just meh. Right now, it basically feels like I just paid 40 dollars for a new Black Widow figure, and one that wasn't as great as I had hoped. Despite it's flaws, I still like it, and honestly, I want Sharon Carter to be redone on this body, but I feel like it had some real potential that unfortunately won't be tapped unless they give it another shot.

This one & the original TB wave 1 version are the 2 best comic versions of IM IMO, I want Hasbro to give us a classic version based on the TB Wave 1 version minus the long gorilla arms. Plus IM needs fists as well as repulsar firing hands.

I agree a lot with Triv. She's a nice figure, but not at all as what I feel she was hyped-up to be. Definitely some quality control issues with the paint-work on the headsculpts, so I'd advise picking this one up in person. Mine doesn't have the head-joint problem that Triv mentioned, but it does have a really loose knee-joint on one of the legs. Makes posing slightly more of a chore. The bike's cool, but honestly I'd rather would have paid for a cheaper set without it. As a Widow fan, she's a must, but she does feel like a slight miss-step from what we've come to expect from the line.

@ redfox and Trivial Psychic,

Thanks for the write up. I wasn't sure if some of the reviewers were being overly critical of this set because it wasn't as good as the new Ghost Rider or if there were some genuine problems so it was nice to hear from both of you. I'm going to wait several months before I pick up this version of Widow so that I can get her on sale.

I think i might have lucked out. I opened up my package from dorkside, and as i was checking the figures from this new lizard wave. I happened to notice my mysterio has the white skull head variant instead of the green.

Pics tommorrow when i have a little energy in the morn before work.

I think Dorkside mentioned on the Fwoosh that all future releases of Mysterio will have the white head instead of the green.

They mentioned that the green head might have just been for earlier produced versions of the figure. I'm sure the green version is gonna sell for a pretty penny on the aftermarket once enough time passes.

Justice has been served:

So I found these two at TRU today and they still had their Buy 1 Get 1 50% off signage up. Thus, I got one of them for $20. Serves them right!

I'm quite happy with them, though there are some little issues. Black Widow's neck joint is a tad loose, the flames on GR's bike don't stay attached, and like most toys with bikes, it's hard to really get them to sit on their bike with the feet sitting on the petals properly. Other than that though, they're great. I also think I like Ghost Rider's bike best without the skull face plate.

Deadpool photobombing is just too perfect.

Main, if you don't mind my asking, what is your set up there? As in the background and lighting?

Not a problem. Don't let anyone's opinion poop on your desire to get the figure. I always tend to rag on figures a bit, but the truth is, I love this hobby and I'm passionate about it, and I'll call a spade a spade if I see it. I watch and read a lot of figure reviews on YouTube, and I often find myself questioning the motives of the reviewers, because you have so many that see things in rose tints, while others record 10 minute videos where they say absolutely nothing but "it's cool," or "awesome fig!" which is even more concerning when you can see things blatantly wrong or defective with the figure in the video!

Right now, as far as I'm concerned, this is the best BW to date...but with as much press and adoration the character has received over the years, I just expected a bit more. I'm hoping that Hasbro can iron out the kinks with this body mold, because it's would be one of their better female ones if it just didn't have that ugly seam running straight down the entire body of the figure. I want an updated Sharon Carter on this thing!

Be careful not to wait too long...the price on her could actually go up if this set proves hard to find. I remember waiting on the Black Series Biker Scouts to go down in price so I could army build, but all that ended up happening was people just ditching the speeder, then asking what they paid for the set for JUST the one scout. People are already starting to repeat this trend with Widow. Do a general Ebay search...you'll see.

I'm not sure how comfortable you are with modding your figures, but if you place a drop of Krazy Glue on the back of the neck where the joint is, and work the joint back and forth, the glue will cure a bit causing it to tighten up. I did this tonight and Nat is no longer in need of a posture collar. Just be sure to keep moving the neck as it dries, otherwise, you could end up with a stuck joint.

Be sure to do it on the back of the neck! That way the hair will cover where the glue was placed, which will draw less attention to it, and will allow you to look at it without it driving you crazy.

Nearly 100 percent sure it's the Bucky Cap mold, but I'll be honest, I'm too lazy to dig the figure out of my bin right now at the moment. But the pics on MarvelLegends.net scream Bucky Cap.
