Indeed. I know people buy things in bulk sometimes, but it's not the same as someone buying 40 packs of Ramen noodles.....

Wait, was she in consideration for the role?
Brie Larson is a warm, wonderful person and all, but this is like "jesus take the wheel" type news.
On the other hand - as depressing as that is, the Marvel casting people have absolutely crushed it with every move they've made. They've earned the benefit of the doubt from me.

.

I don't know if YS was officially in consideration for the role. I know fan support wise she had a lot of support for it, from the sites I saw. Always in the top 5 actresses of practically every list I saw. that doesn't mean Marvel Studios even considered it...but well..I'd like to think they did. She would have been my pick that's for sure.

And yeah, I'm giving Marvel the benefit of the doubt. They've come through on casting for the most part. I am not all that ecstatic that Larson is Captain Marvel but I'm certainly hoping she does a good job. 10 years ago so many people were worried about RDJ being Iron Man, and he killed it, so there's no accounting for preconceptions of how well someone is going to do.

Absolutely! I want to stick Abner in there but I just can't do it with the Beetle costume (even though not everyone in the pic is in a T-Bolts accurate costume) I just think his role in the Thunderbolts is MACH V (or whatever)... It would be like putting in Screaming Mimi instead of Songbird.

Reading some of Proxima and Corvus' exchanges I find it strangely endearing that they seem to have a healthier relationship than most hero couples, even if it is built on mass murder.

The entire Brotherhood as a collective has yet to receive a good action figure (outside of Blob and maybe Pyro, who's only 'decent'). Dr. Doom's figures all kinda suck for different reasons. Same with Red Skull. We had one decent figure for Loki, but it's a look that's so specific to a certain storyline that you almost can't fit in anywhere on your shelf. They didn't even attempt a Mephisto yet; we had to hop on over to Diamond Select for that and now he's selling for astronomical prices on eBay.

I mean, we get great figures for B-list and C-list villains all the time, but when it comes to receiving a Dr. Doom that's at least "passable" in a modern collection, forget about it.
I figure a lot of it has to do with Hasbro focusing on characters who have a lot of reuse potential.

I just got my 90s Deadpool in the mail and it's a great figure but man I got a bit of a lemon....the QC just isn't it on this figure.

From the get go the butterfly joint was frozen due to excess paint. I managed to get it free, but it left some pretty bad nicks on the back of the butterfly joint. The waist joint was frozen too, but again, managed to get it free. Not to bothered about that. Then there's some scuffing on his chest, funny enough right on his nipple area which isn't too bad from certain angles.

I may disregard my original plan of hunting down these figures at retail and just opt to buy the full case so I can save myself the trouble of trying to hunt some of the rarer ones down for a reasonable price and also so I can get a Deadpool that isn't all dinged up.

But the figure itself is great and easily my favorite Marvel Legends Deadpool of all time (though the Juggernaut wave one is still great for a modern Deadpool).

That's likely it. Still, they need to just put a wave or a box set of their A-list villains and instead of cheapening out on it, really get them right.

Who wouldn't buy a wave set of Magneto, Dr Doom, Loki, Mandarin, Red Skull, Kang, Ultron and Green Goblin with a BAF Kingpin? I mean, who could be in it would be up for debate of course but that would be my guess as it hits all major tentpoles of Marvel

For those who found Songbird, does her backpack thing come off? Or is it stuck on there?

So i decided to try the same walmart i told you all about yesterday that didn't let anybody in due to the electrcity being out. anyways foward to now i went there again today. i had hoped that brick seek was correct when it said 6 thanos figures in stock. well ohhh boy was i wrong. the aisles were semi bare with nothing but a few of those papers taped on them. apparently they were going to rearrange the aisle or something. i tried asking a walmart employee there and she had no idea what i was saying because she didn't know barely any english...

well that's it with brick seek for me. complete waste of time, energy, gas and my dinner break here at work.

i'll just stick to checking the 2 walmarts i normally frequent near my house and that's it. they'll eventually get them in.

By the way guys, After closer examination of my death's head II figure and his hands neither were the same as that thanos picture someone posted a few days ago.

That could have been a factory screw up there.
I'm gonna say something controversial here...but...Gwenpool was the best figure out of the last Spidey wave IMO, and I am not a fan, and know little to anything about the character.

Spider-Woman of Burnside though...I could have lived without.

I've been lazy...I gotta get my reviews/thoughts up soon.

I don't think the Thanos thing was a screw up. I have little faith in the lower denominator of the community. I've seen scalpers, swappers, and thieves pull some pretty creative shit to get away with their Legends schemes.

Didn't we just get a comic accurate Loki with the A-Force set? =P

Man...you guys with your magical brickseek...lol. When will you learn?

I have never had that site work a single time in my favor, even with basic items not toy related like video games and electronics. Do you really think there's a magical "one site knows all" that can figure out the inventory of nearly every major retailer out there in your hometown?

Truth be told, if you "found" something because of brickseek, the numbers game just happened to be in your favor that day, not because the site could actually figure out what was sitting in a particular store's inventory. It's this promise though that keeps people coming back. A placebo for your shopping instincts if you will. I'm pretty sure that user traffic is how they make their money.

It would have to be a really really good Loki for me to ever give up the one that came out with the Cap:First Avenger Walmart wave... This is the most Evil looking God of Mischief ever.
