There's a local comic/figure store in the bay area with maybe 7 or 8 sets pictured, and I've seen a few ebay sellers with as many sets in their sales images as well, so I could see it being a remote possibility Hasbro might now have many or any left.

So here's an idea for a swap figure I'd actually like to see...

Kamala Khan Ms. Marvel and Kate Bishop Hawkeye. Both can use the Spider-girl body, and the set could be called "Teen Avengers" or something like that. I'd love figures of both of them.

So I just got an email regarding my X-Men Legends TRU order. It's processing and should be shipped soon.

Also, if you want the Thanos Imperative set that badly, BBTS still has pre-orders available at $179.99 here. Not sure how that compares to ebay prices at the moment to be honest.

Alright everyone, hate to ruin your Saturday, but basically TRU is canceling the pre-orders. Don't bother calling them too... I just got off the phone with them and they are just giving the standard "they understand but can't do anything about it" b.s. explanation. The guy is sitting there on the phone telling me they are cancelling because the "ship" date was June 30th and they don't have any items to ship out. I straight up accused his company of weasling out of the promotion price that everyone got in on and try to explain to him that the whole point of pre-ordering is to ensure you have an order in for a new item with an ambiguous ship date and that no one ever knows when it will arrive. Also pointed out that NO ONE had them on June 30th, so starting the 30 day countdown from then is shady as fk. I'm pissed because I'm losing out on this deal and the figures for sure since they'll likely never hit my TRU or I just won't ever see them, but I'm even more pissed at just the sheer underhandedness of the situation (toy transaction or not).
I suggest we all mobilize and firebomb the hell out of TRU on every ratings/review site we know of. Between this and the whole Thanos set thing, I'm not really feeling the whole Marvel collecting thing at the moment.

Not everyone's are being cancelled. They probably oversold accidentally. That sucks and I'm sorry but they're not weaseling out from the sale they had. Chill.

I got my order in at the very beginning of the promotion the first day they showed up online for preorder, so everyone not getting the "cancelling 8/5" email will likely only be a sliver of the group who got their orders in. Everyone who ordered after me (if that's even how TRU sorts these things out) I would expect is going to eventually get the delay message. I take it you preordered and yours is still standing for now? Technically my order isn't cancelled, but unless they miraculously get everything out by 8/5, it's dead. After waiting a month and most likely losing out on the figures AND the deal, I reserve the right to not be "chill" after 8/5 if things go south. =)

Mine are "located in stock" or something like that. Just telling you to chill cause calling people to arms to bash them across review boards isn't going to do anything but frustrate you more. Just keep talking politely with customer service. Maybe they will raincheck you the sale price or give you some store credit. But if they oversold, there's no way they can magically come up with figures to send you.

Yeah, good call. I think between this and the Thanos set situation, I was just hoping at least one Legends situation would go smoothly. When did you place your order skyhopp?

yeah, legends both production and distribution has been a mess for a while. I think the market is pretty done with the scale overall but theres enough diehard fans to keep it going.

I ordered mine pretty early, so probably around 7 or 8am EST? I woke up, checked twitter and had a friend tell me they were up and on sale. I definitely got lucky.

I must say that I'm disappointed with the SDCC box sets not being made available.....yet? But maybe, that's the point of exclusives. However, if they had sold out at the con, an announcement somewhere would have been a nice thing.

One quick snipe - as its apparent that ML's aren't wholly supported by collectors... Even though at $20 minimum per figure, I'm sure there are heaps and loads of people lining up to by the line other than us. Hasbro, and it's representatives surely know our communities on various sites around the globe, and those who don't voice their concerns surely exist as well, it's long past due that Hasbro creates a venue or in some way shares some low key information with its core support of any collector's line. Transformers, GiJoe, Star Wars, And Marvel properties have loyal followers (aka - buyers of said lines), and it would only increase their belief in each other's camps if there was a place to trade ideas and information on events, ideas and anything really that could be of value to both sides of the coin.

I'm just saying what I'm feeling, as I'm sure Hasbro has a reason for not continuing with their 'Ask Hasbro' threads in toy forums. I mean, I could post something in a thread like that and say 'hey! When are we going to get a ML sized Quinjet?' every day until they got pissed off enough to quit responding to me or something else. Heck, I'd be really happy if Hasbro just had an update on all lines thread on every toy based site out there, all they would need to do is make statements, not even answer questions. It would be nice if I knew to start shopping eBay because they had sold out a box set at a con or even sneak peeks of something coming up months from now. I say all this because even though Hasbro has reps at cons and some things get answered, nothing is really definitive and if the subject matter is 'sensitive', we get nothing but the classic run around.

I sometimes get the feeling that even the people who work for Hasbro and represent certain lines couldn't care a lick for what they produce, or who their customers are, and it doesn't make sense to me (not that it must, because I'm just one guy who likes Marvel heroes in action figure form).

If you haven't been cancelled by ToysRus, everything is cool and tell others to "Chill."

If you HAVE been cancelled by ToysRUs, listen to the people who have not been cancelled and chill.

Stopped by TRU right after they opened today and found this.

Not really interested in these except for Cyclops and I'm getting him for $13 from BBTS. Anyway, I checked to see if Storm or Magneto was in there since I know some of you guys need them but all that was left was Cyclops, Wolverine, and Stryfe.

Dang..still looking for those Xmen legends. I'm beginning to HATE all this exclusive crap. Nearest TRU to me is an hour and half from me so I guess I'll end up paying out the nose via the internet...sad panda this makes me.

And they were are on sale this week so it would have been nice to find something for you guys. The other TRU I went had a lone Cyclops on Cap 2 pegs. Not sure where the rest were and the staff were no help.

I share your frustration
At first, I didn't mind the idea of TRU exclusive Legends, because their exclusivity was a way for me to be able to skip checking every Wal-Mart, Target, etc... in my area during my hunts for the X-Men Legends.
However, with only a single, under-stocked, TRU in my area, I doubt that I'll be able to find those figures as well.

I don't know why you keep quoting 30th June as the ship date, because everyone's order said ship by the 30th July. So no, you haven't been waiting a month for it to have supposedly been shipped.

Other than that, I agree and thanks for letting us know of your trouble with the rep, and further prove how incompetent TRU are.

It's times like this that I wish I lived in the US. Either that or TRU UK stocked these. Damn ba*tards.

That's odd that magneto and storm were missing. I wonder if an employee snagged them first (I would do that if I worked there lol) or if another collector called ahead and held them.

Decided my previously giant post on a Legends distribution idea might be better in a thread of its own than taking up space in the appreciation thread.

Sorry, what I'm saying is waiting a month after preordering in June for the order to supposedly ship in July only to likely have it cancelled. I wasn't expecting them to ship on June 30th. Apparently TRU's 30 day cancellation policy starts the day you place your preorder according to the rep; if it were 30 days after the projected July 30th ship date, I wouldn't be posting anything about the situation right now. Hope that clarifies things. ..
