I really disliked the version of She-Hulk that we received with the A-Force box set, so I was very happy to have this lovely lady arrive today in my mailbox, as she's been sorely needed. While far from perfect, I honestly feel that the original blows away Hasbro's most recent attempt, as I always felt the original captured Jennifer's sexy and confident essence perfectly. The A-force version just left a lot to be desired, she looked like she woke up with a migraine and was devoid of any personality. Since Hasbro has had a fairly recent history of re-releasing figures that were featured in box sets to fill out Legends waves, I'm hoping a much improved re-do is in the works for the future.

What I appreciate most about the figure though, is it's also a nice throwback to when Hasbro used to allow their figures to give off a little sexy. Say what you will about the "shrink wrapped" attire, but that body suit gives Jenni some wicked curves. As opposed to the the somewhat stale and banal looks that many of our female legends give off today.

"Yep....that one's going on the Instagram..."

"Excuse me?..."

"Hey gorgeous...this guy bothering you?"

"NOPE! JUST LEAVING!!!"

Seeing that picture I just realized something: I had that Xavier as a kid and never knew it was him.

I bought him minus the BAF at a comic show a few weeks ago for $10. Don't care for MCU figs.

You think they knew Josh Brolin was going to play him in a movie?

And yeah hasbro, keep re releasing BAFs, upgraded box set releases, overused generic bucks, impossible to find exclusives, and pumping product so fast that retailers can’t keep up, so no one can find shit!... you already burned your 3.75” bridge and you ass hats are sloshing gas on the 6” one.

Personally I'm glad to see the IW 3 pack revealed as I own none of those but would like an MCU Thanos. Is it just me or does it look like the Iron Man's torso is less articulated to accommodate the light-up gimmick?

The blast effect is blocking the joint, so it’s kind of hard to really tell. But that is how the light up 3.75” IM2 figures were. I wish they would have retooled him to looked battle damaged, or gave him some wing flaps, or interchangeable rocket booster legs, or cannon arm, or anything to make him look like more than just another generic armor ( I also feel this way about the single pack one, and iron spider)

Whatever the case, Iron Man was already going to be the figure in this pack I get stuck with in order to have the other two. I liked his look in the movie alright but the Legends figure doesn't impress. It could be worse and at least Iron Man is a character that very easily permits owning different looks.

He had the long yellow gloves in the movie, and they weren’t fingerless.

I don't remember him having gloves at all except for Thor Ragnarok.

I don't think he did. He wore those in his Thor: Ragnarok cameo but that was it.

He wasn’t wearing them in the sanctum? I would swear he was. Maybe I’m thinking of Ragnarok... I am stoked for the 10th anniversary red skull, but now I want his new look... trying to avoid spoilers.

Nope. I was surprised at the time that he wasn't wearing the gloves he had for Ragnarok at all in the film. I even paid extra attention for it the second time I saw IW.

That three-pack is why I held off on so many IW figures; it's been Hasbro's MO since Homecoming and with them experimenting with BAFs at higher prices I figured I'd wait and see what's coming as a box set, then get what I want after I have options. That Box Set works for me, a better Thanos BAF with no figure purchasing required, a nice Doctor Strange, and and Iron Man that lights up. Works for me.

The light up Iron Man kinda concerns me. I hope Hasbro isn't gonna try to incorporate action features into Legends again. It was annoying as hell in Spider-Man Classics and FF Classics when you had a figure with an amazing sculpt that was marred by crap articulation because they wanted to fit in a missile launcher or a light up head.

Why's that?

Did they announce they aren't going to bother releasing the rest of the Serpent Society? This is something I need to know before I buy one.

I'm mostly joking because of the sales of the past members of the team. They're already 3 serpents in so I imagine they plan to continue.

The Killmonger/Ross pack isn't gonna be part of the MCU 10th Anniversary line, it's gonna be a normal price $40 2-pack with a piece of the Stan Lee BAF.

I never said it was part of the 10th anniversary line, just that it was a pile of crap that further confirmed that Hasbro is getting a bit greedy with this stuff as someone mentioned. The Killmonger set was just one of the most egregious cases of it, as EVERYONE was griping about not getting the MBJ head with the standard release, and then all of a sudden, with BP product still fresh in store, they announce that the MBJ head is indeed coming...in a two pack with a character that we could honestly give two shits about, instead of one of the more popular ones that would make sense (Like BP, Shuri, or Klaw...)

Now I won't deny that have some interest in some of these 10th anniversary offerings, but some of them are just shady as you know what....

  • Vision should have been a standard release, but he was stuck in a two pack (though I can't complain too much, since the new Wanda was a huge upgrade to the Abomination wave version despite being the SAME exact figure with some paint touch ups.)
  • Crossbones should also have been a standard release.
  • Mandarin was shown to us YEARS ago, was cancelled for no reason, and now suddenly he's being tossed in a three pack with an extremely situational Pepper (as in barefoot and half dressed) and yet ANOTHER Iron Man.
  • The new Bucky is being saddled with a barely altered Falcon.
  • Yellowjacket is being released with that inaccurate MCU Ant Man we got the first time around (only with more Paul Rudd, and no new tiny Ant-Man figures. He's actually missing Ant-tony.)
  • Thor/Rocket/Teen Groot somehow warranted a 60 dollar price tag.
  • The Strange/Tony/Thanos pack is a slap to the face of anyone who just spent 120 dollars building the recent Thanos.

And there are still more coming that haven't been shown off or announced. At this point, it just reeks of pure greed.

In many cases, the only differences with these figures are the digitally enhanced heads, or some minor paint deco, meaning their major selling points are merely accessories that could very easily be included with single releases, released on their own for purchase as an online or HTS exclusive, or in the cases of some of the more recent figures, should have been included the first time around. It's not that hard for Hasbro to do it...hell, Red Skull is packaged with 4 interchangeable heads on his own! If Hasbro were to be so kind as to release a collection of just updated headsculpts for purchase on their website as an exclusive, I'd gladly put down the money to purchase those, provided the price is right (especially if they did this for their Black Series releases...)

Thankfully Skull and Ronin, the two I want the most are being released as singles. However, I also want Mandarin, Yellowjacket, and Rumlow as well, so for three figures, I'm going to end up likely spending 130 dollars or more for them, and end up with a bunch of others that I didn't want or need. There's always the secondary market to try and get them on their own, but yikes...that could prove to be even worse.

We could definitely use a definitive She Hulk, preferably with double elbows for better action poses. Personally the lack of ankle pivot and punching hands alone make the old one the inferior figure, but it isn't like the new one is perfect either. But at least you can have her punching people.

Unrelated, I really, really want a Deadpool 2 Domino ML figure.
