Typhoid Mary looks cool but the BAF is very disappointing.

I'd love a classic Helmut Zemo, they could even include an alternate head to be Heinrich, but I'd also likely buy Helmut's Thunderbolts suit if they opted for that look (though classic would be preferred). I count Citizen V as a totally different thing so that's not what I'm referring to, I'm talking about Helmut Zemo as himself during the Thunderbolts like when he took possession of the moonstones, but getting a Citizen V figure would be cool as a separate thing. Getting a new comic Crossbones would also be nice since the only one Hasbro has ever given us is a bit dated.
crossbones is a cool villian as well, and i missed out on the original. so he seems like he's over due. just had to go onto another page to see the new venom BAF and typhoid mary. im honestly not too impressed with the venom wave and baf. everyone here who knows me, knows im a big spidey/venom/symbiote fan. i might just cherry pick the wave as of now. not really sure. typhoid mary looks great, i was however expecting her old look from the 90s. either way i'd buy her when i see her. I was about to post these. Mary looks great! The big Venom is ok, but not 100% needed for me. But since I'm buying the full wave I suppose I'll get him.

So I want three figures from the wave and the BAF.
Anyone not interested in the BAF want Mary, Ham and basic Venom? XD |

Typhoid Mary! Finally! I'm happy with what I see, but I hate how they did those torn fishnets. The sword is a clever re-use, although I wish she had some fire effects. Not sure about what looks like the reuse of Sue Storm's head there, but still, I'm just glad to finally be getting Mary in any form.
Sooo...Monster Venom is Gargan Venom, with an inaccurate head. Thank goodness I saved the head from the Classics one all those years back. It fits my Space Venom just fine, so I can't see it having too many issues. Despite the let down on the deco, it still looks good, and while I have never been a fan of Hulk and Juggernaut sized Venom in the books, it should hopefully quell some of the whiners out there constantly complaining about Venom being too small. Also...Hasbro loses some points on that BAF for trying too hard to make it look like Revoltech's Amazing Yamaguchi Venom. Last edited by Trivial Psychic; 05-31-2018 at 12:39 PM.. |

I agree but the problem with changing characters in movies is that the comics tend to follow suit. To that point i bring up the nick fury issue. Once sam jacksons nick fury ( based on the ultimate fury not 616 ) became prominent in The movies....soon after the nick fury many of us have know for years was changed to make comic nick more movie like. And the old nick was more or less written outta the universe.
If the comics stayed independent of the movie designs thatd be one thing but for those of use who enjoy our comic versions only to have them altered to fit the movie versions its just not cool. Now had beetz been made to look more comic accurate( the porcelin skin, black spot over the eye and cropped cut hair ) then i suspect the ire of those not happy with the movie version would have been considerably less. Actually, Nick Fury became Black in "Ultimate Marvel" comic line & was then used in the 2005 animated DVD movie "Ultimate Avengers & it's sequel. The MCU utilized that version of Fury for the live screen. But if regular 616 Marvel has also gotten rid of classic Fury for the MCU version then that's flat out wrong. Funny how no one has an issue with a white comic based character's race being switched for the big screen but if the reverse was done, watch out! |

I think I know which design you're referring to, but let's pretend I don't so you can post it here.
![]() This is fair, I think. The old Fury had a ton of baggage, but I respected that cantankerous old fart. I like Samuel L. Jackson, so I was good either way. Change is not an unfamiliar thing to comic books, but Secret Wars went a little far to draw the movie crowd into the books. The most recent Secret Wars, I mean. They really love that title, I dunno what's so damn secret about an event that set every universe collapsing into one. |

My excitment for Typhoid has dropped a little. I wanted her classic look from the 80s.
As for White Queen, she needs to look like this: ![]()
