I’m a huge fan of the movies, if I have one complaint it would be all the small stuff that gets lost trying to shoe horn 50+ years of continuity into an easily digestable form. I love the fact that all the movies are interconnected in a way, and on a level that I don’t think any brand has tried before. But the timeline of films, and space between just leaves a lot of continuity for the viewer to figure out on there own from brief and in some cases forced dialogue, like tony and peppers relationship, (they were good in IM3, broken up in CW, and talking about kids in IW? ) or Thor and Jane foster, have they even seen each other sence dark world? I wish,( and I get the logistics, legalities, and budgets that would not allow this) that they had done and AOS type show between films, do it anthology style with maybe 10 episodes per season keeping up with the main characters between films, devote one episode to each character throughout the season. Between AOU and ragnorok they could have shown Thor traveling the universe, and the events that lead to his “capture” in the beginning of ragnorok, or just do a pure drama episode with pepper and tony reconciling. An episode of Cap and his group post CW living on the run and doing merc work. Or hell even show Rody recovering from his injuries. They could slip in hints and Easter eggs for mega fans, or even work in MU characters that are obscure enough to never have a shot at the big screen.

I like the way the new head sculpt sits lower on the neck, bit I wish the mask was more fanned out. Do you think heating it up would allow the ear pieces to bend out, or are they solid?

My own personal burn out over the MCU aside, I find it disappointing that there have been more cameos from ESPN personalities in one episode of Luke Cage than there has been from any of the MCU big screen mainstays over the entirety of all of the series combined.
MCU indeed. I'd settle for Frank Caliendo doing an impersonation of Nick Fury through a phone conversation at this point. |

I suppose it does sound odd complaining about films while simultaneously describing them as fundamentally sound. That said, something can be inoffensive, good even, while also being thoroughly uninspired. I liked Sucker Punch, but also thought it was incredibly derivative. My overarching point is that many of the MCU movies have well-heeled themes with the “super” being the “new” (not so new once you identify the underlying vehicle) hook. Once that becomes obvious, the luster and appeal quickly fades (for me). If I want to see a spy action flick, I’ll watch Atomic Blonde or a Bourne film. Although Black Widow would obviously fit that theme, I’d prefer to see her super-heroine’ing alongside the Champions or Avengers.
As far as what I’d like to see – thanks for indulging me, these convos don’t usually get this far because most fans are trapped in “MCU good and you dumb, me like things sames” mentality – I could go for a Man-thing movie. The character’s early books had this awesomely detached narrative that I think would play out well in a way that could be quite unique. It’d even be great if the Nexus of All Realities possessed him toward the end, not just to provide a voice that he previously lacked, but to demonstrate how integral Ted Sallis is to Marvel’s vast tapestry. I’d also be all over a Dr Doom movie. Just about Doom, with minor appearances by heroes. I’ve always wanted stand-alone flicks about complex villains; I’ve been clamoring for a 2hr film of Vader slaughtering Jedi for only my entire life – hyperbole for sure, but pretty close. There is enough variety in comics to provide audiences with an experience that they didn’t even know they wanted, in contrast to constantly taking the safe route and only regurgitating tropes that have proven to be successful in the past. Alas, I know this is a pipedream given the strict financial rubric that Feige has gotten fans to buy into (pretty brilliant in a Machiavellian way on his part – he’d make for an excellent evil mastermind – I kid…don’t pounce rabid fans ![]() ![]() |

![]() Of course, you make a lot of great points. It's entirely possible to not enjoy something while acknowledging its quality. And I wouldn't be surprised if they've had those same discussions internally in an effort to keep the machine humming. To his credit, Feige and those plotting the course of this have guessed right and put all of the best people in position to succeed. I'm open to any sort of conversation like this with objective observers, I think it's interesting. Eventually they're going to need to branch out and try these new things, Man-Thing has potential. Doom might be a harder one to sell to people, but I'd watch the hell out of it. But I don't want Fox making it. So if the Disney acquisition goes through, that opens up a lot of doors. Nova seems inevitable, still holding onto the hope that they build up enough of these cosmic pieces for an Annihilation movie. That's top tier stuff, for me. Throw in the Surfer, Nova, the Guardians. Even Carol, why not? Holy crap. |

The original Spider-Man had the best ending I've ever seen in a superhero movie...period.
They're pretty solid, but you can get them to fan out a little bit with some heat. Nothing to the level of the vintage Wolverine though. |

1. Groot
2. Yondu Both very emotional. It's premature to start engraving tombstones of anyone that died during Infinity War, but Loki and Heimdall getting iced right away was pretty brutal. Loki especially, who had quite the roller coaster of an arc. We may very well see him again, but I'm not sure that means he'll be back. |

Went to Hellmart, my nearest Walmart, and found "most" of the Lizard wave. The first time I have ever seen it in retail (outside of Spider-Woman once at a Game Stop.) They did NOT have Mysterio of course, or Noir, but had all the rest...even more annoying they had three Spider-Woman/Women? so that means at some point they had THREE Mysterios. That just boils my butter.

If only we still had the Marvel One-Shots. Those were money! I think the last one was "All Hail The King", and it was released with Thor: The Dark World Blu Ray. I really miss the One-Shots, and hope they bring them back someday. I could've done without Agents of SHIELD, and Agent Carter if they kept giving us One-Shots.

Tony’s parents, and he got to watch it! 7. Rody’s Legs 8. Several blocks of New York. (If you saw something like that you’d be traumatized) And even if the current situation doesn’t last IW was a bit emotional Captain Nash, the only lizard wave figure my local Walmart had was one Noir, but someone stole his lazer pistols, why, I have no idea. And there ant man display, loaded with last years x wave for some reason, was all Polaris, dazzler, and shatter star. |

I totally agree, but there are a few gem story lines that could have been great movies. I’m not saying follow the comics plot hole to plot hole, but now that they’ve done infinity war how do they up the anti? I’d have liked to see some more low level villain action in the first ten years. They did some of it in the indavidual movies, especially iron man and cap, but I kind of wish we’d gotten a couple more film with the whole team. Kind of old school self contained, non related to the overall Thanos ark, but doesn’t disrupt continuity eather. Like, and I’m just spit balling, avengers versus the wrecking crew, or, serpent society, or some version of the masters of evil.

Just saw Ant-Man and Wasp. Fun flick that balanced humor and action while tying into the MCU nicely. I know people are waiting on these Marvel films to tank, but I don’t see it anytime soon.
My biggest beef with Hasbro is their failure to capitalize on some of these well designed MCU villains. Ghost is a figure I’m looking forward to seeing one day, in addition to Glaive, Maw, and Yellowjacket (I know we are finally getting that one). |

@Arbor
The fights can be a little hit or miss. The MCU does a great job with street level mixed martial melees. That Cap elevator fight is still one for the books…they might also have a handle on Spidey’s strength, but I need to see more. That said, the high level donnybrooks leave a little to be desired. The presentation feels a tad too pedestrian. As much as people pan DC flicks, in my opinion, those movies have a better appreciation of the scope for ultra-powered beings throwing down. @BFinger Ahh…when the good ones go bad, they are always the most frightening…I know from my own decent into madness. Ha!..plus I much prefer evil to be an abstraction, rather than personified in an actual being like Feige. ![]() But, yeah, Feige’s done a great job and he’s to be commended. However, I believe he could stand to take a few more chances. I’d be in for a truly R rated Punisher, Moon Knight, or Satana mature-feature. I’m getting bored and, of course, as always, it’s ALL about me. ![]() I’m a long term intense Cosmic Marvel fan with Annihilation being one of my favorite epics of all time, but after seeing them butcher Planet Hulk (oh the boiling anger)…I think I’d prefer a feature length animated flick that would be free of box office dynamics/expectations allowing it to remain true to source. |

As I said, I suspect that they've had discussions and will need new ideas to let this thing continue to flourish. I wouldn't count them out yet. There will be a charisma vacuum to fill once Cap and Iron Man bow out. Maybe Thor stays, I dunno. I'm cool with a Satana movie because.... reasons. I don't think they could sell it to the general public, though.
Also, you commended him, no backsies! Quote:
![]() And consequently, he is dead. What they planted to make a new Groot has none of those memories or connections, essentially starting over with the same genetic material. The same way that Logan lives on through his daughter. So it's "A" Groot, just not the same guy. Partial credit? His death scene was pretty moving stuff, yes? |

I'm glad that I don't really want a lot of the released and upcoming waves. I want the Venom wave, a few 10th anniversary figures and the IW wave 2 but that's it.
And Noir. |

Backsies are positively presidential nowadays...I reserve my patriotic right to be an ass and a lout, then promptly forget all of that while claiming victimhood 5 minutes later….
...I could also do an R rated Union Jack vamp movie...and yeah, Satana could be sold as a vamp flick....she could succubus me anytime. |

A couple of comparison pics and some headswap options...
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() As you can see, all the heads from both the vintage and Juggernaut wave Wolverine work with the new Tiger-rine. The yellows are a pretty close match. I don't have the cowl from the Vintage Wolvie, but from what I understand, the yellow is a bit different from the Tiger-rine. I actually like the new headsculpt on the vintage/Juggernaut Wolverine better, so I might actually keep it like that. It's nice to know though that Hasbro at least gave us these options without having to do any sort of mods. |

So glad I don't care about Apocalypse for whatever reason... always liked Mr. Sinister more. That BAF Apocalypse looks pretty awesome with the shiny blue paint job.
Preordered Psylocke from Gamestop today... only had to pay 5 bucks up front. Just need to see who is in the next X-men wave now. |

To anyone who has already received their Marvel Studios 10th anniversary Cap and Crossbones set, does the new unmasked and masked head(s) fit on any of the previous MCU Cap releases?

Just be aware, the art work in X-Cutioner's Song is a mess at times. The X-Factor book looks like it was drawn by 5 year olds.
I do agree about it having a cool Apocalypse moment though. It was my first X-Men crossover story.
