The classic one ( all black, w/ blue shadeing and a cape, necklace, and spear) is, in my opinion, the best comic BP ever made. The design is simple, but that’s how he generally looks. The “pink panther”, like symbi said, is a more recent look. I’m not super farmilliar with that look, but I’ve been told that the pink symbols on him are representative of his costumes vibranium ability to absorb, and store energy. Personally I think the ears on that one are a bit funky... he looks more like black ocelot.

I agree. For example, certain Star Wars figures from the new movies, lingered on the shelves. One week it all disappeared from the stores and as you said, politics were the real reason why it was gone. If it stayed on the shelves, there would be articles, from the usual places, accusing fans of the usual.
I know a few lower level buddies who work at certain large toy companies and they know the bosses are not very happy with the sales of certain figures and are forced to lose money on figures they know will not sell, but are handicapped by progressiveness and the license holder(s). I tried to keep it as vague as possible as I know what usually happens when certain ideology is challenged and hope it does not get deleted. If we are using the argument that Hasbro is only pretending the Black Panther Legends sold well because of politics, that still wouldn't explain why they did a second wave when the white heroes generally haven't gotten those either. |

I got the classic BP and it's pretty fantastic. Some of the plastic, at least on mine, is pretty gummy but overall a physically solid figure and it's great that you can choose whether he wears the cape, just the necklace, or neither.

Or people just bought the Black Panther figures, lol. It's not like Hasbro hasn't had female or minority figures that pegwarmed in the past.
If we are using the argument that Hasbro is only pretending the Black Panther Legends sold well because of politics, that still wouldn't explain why they did a second wave when the white heroes generally haven't gotten those either. There is no business that I'm aware of that functions that way. And if there were, they'd be out of business pretty quickly. Funnier still is that when you offered two sources that supported and buttressed your opinion about BP wave sales (one of the articles being from Forbes), this guy refused to read it citing it as propaganda. I'm not certain how you declare something to be propaganda before even knowing what it says. It's one thing to spout ill-conceived, uncorroborated nonsense from a place of general ignorance. Maybe you just aren't very well-read nor bright. No bigge, with work, we can all improve ourselves. However, when someone is presented with information that directly confronts the validity of their beliefs and they categorically refuse to digest it, well, that's when I start wondering about "propaganda" and hidden (not so hidden) "agendas." Why interject skewed politics and flawed logic into something as innocuous and meaningless as toys and comics? The question's a rhetorical one, I fully understand why someone would behave in this manner. We (and by "we," I mean reasonable people of all stripes - liberal/moderate/conservative) have a serious problem brewing. This sickness of intolerance is growing...and it's becoming necessary to spot these faux arguments and see them for what they are: the "true" propaganda. You want to present your thoughts, do so with factual aplomb. Because I'm actually openminded, I'll review whatever it is. But when all you can give me is anecdotal testimony, coupled with a resistance to digesting credible information, then I start looking at your agenda. (that "agenda" seems to rear its head every two months or so, here...and it's from the usual suspects) |

Each code I texted them, they sent a link to a 16 digit code. I put each code into the apply code section of the shopping cart and it adjusted my price for each one. I added the $20 off one last.
Oh, BTW I found these in /r/funkopop after someone posted them on TFW2005. I had to look it up cause I had no idea what 827438 was and they didn't mention it in their post. |

The Target codes have been used up or Target caught on and they no longer work.

![]() ![]() Hasbrotoyshop had some pretty fast shipping on these guys. I'll wait for retail and probably clearance before going after Thor/Sif, but Crossbones and Yellowjacket were instant must-haves for me. |

Target normally honors mistakes but we all know when we did this it wasn't intentional and shouldn't be working. But who knows maybe they'll ship out whatever sold. |

Can Yellowjacket's laser armatures go over his shoulders like they were in the movie?

It's as if Hasbro is getting lazy with the SDCC stuff for Marvel, but at least they keep kicking out good retail stuff which is probably better :P

While $46 is certainly a great deal for four figures I just don't want any of them enough to actually get it. I'm only actually interested in half the set so while the price is ideal I'd be stuck with two other figures when there's a rush of new products I want much more.

Ugh, just my luck. I was this close to getting Dagger from Amazon for $19.99, but was then blasted with another round of the "doggy oopsie" pages. When I finally managed to lose the pups, she's back up to $42.99.

I signed in with the amazon app and they gave me $10 off so the total was $40.36 shipped after tax.
Earlier this morning I got a Tiger Stripe Wolverine from another site for $6.62 shipped after tax.

Eh, not necessarily. I think Black Panther was a surprise box office smash for everyone involved. Hasbro probably wasn't anticipating the movie to do as well as it did, so now they're hurrying back to capitalize on it.
Plus a lot of people have been wanting certain characters from the movie, so this is their chance to get them.

I just saw the possible news of the second Black Panther wave. Very odd that it would come out now. I really want to see what SDCC has in store. I feel we could use a new Dr. Doom. What was the other comic based figure again?
Edit- it would probably help if I watched the video. Why bother saying “I have news” if you can’t talk about it. Some Youtubers bug me to no end. The pics were smei-helpful, but there were totally more than 6 characters given in the video. Last edited by Spyne98; 07-16-2018 at 06:46 PM.. |

I think Hasbro is just trying to come up wih some kind of theme for an end of the year wave since Spiderman, Avengers, and Deadpool are all getting two waves this year.
