Skullbuster is one of the Reavers, he's their resident edge-lord.

I'm underwhelmed by most of what they've shown thus far but that's actually a good thing for me because after the rush of new stuff that's coming out right now I'm going to need a break from Legends.

So after being busy all day I come online and find that Hasbro's Marvel Legends reveal left a lot to be desired. Don't get me wrong, there were some truly awesome figures unveiled, but I'm sorely disappointed to learn that no Giant Size X-Men box set was announced (or at least a first appearance Storm or Nightcrawler if nothing else), nor is there going to be a Prof X/Classic Magneto 2 pack.

I'm also lamenting that no classic Vulture or Scorpion were revealed and that the Spider-Man wave is pretty crappy but I have to get the whole thing due to Kingpin.

Anyway, here are my initial thoughts on what was shown (in order of Hasbro's official images shown on Marvelousnews):

Hercules - Looks like a great figure, but I have no interest in the character.

Professor X - The hover chair looks amazing, but can he come out of it? Also, does he include a regular wheel chair too so we can have options? A must buy nonetheless, but I do hope he can be put into a regular wheelchair.

Black Cat - Don't know this design of hers, so I will probably stick to the one I have now despite the hip joints being awful. A great use of the Black Widow body mold though.

Kingpin - Sad he is missing his ascot, but looks freaking phenomenal. However, his face looks weird though as if he is a giant baby crying because he wet his diaper. Not a fan of the head sculpt, but I'm sure I will like it better in person. I'm just happy we are finally getting him though.

Carnage on Crack Thing - Yeah, don't know what the deal is with this guy, but he looks awful in my book. They should have switched him with Typhoid Mary as he belongs in the Venom wave. Wait, is he ripping his face off?

Silver Sable - I want to be excited for this figure, but something looks off to me and I don't know what. Also not a fan of her having the same terrible guns Domino had. Is it that hard to have people come with realistic looking weapons? Still, I'm happy we are getting her too.

Armored Symbiote Spider-Man (??) - Ooooooooooookay. Not sure why that is a thing. Would rather it had been the actual terrible 90s Armored Spider-Man, but sure, why not. Another figure going into the "To Eventually Sell Off" bin.

Age of Apocalypse Blink - On one hand, this is pretty cool, on the other, I really don't need figures from AoA. Notwithstanding, the sculpt does look pretty cool and I love the face.

Gambit - OH HELL FUCKING YES!!!!!!!! That is all.

Crossbones - Meh, looks terrible in my book. It's like they just took the Deathlok body and repainted it into the most simpliest thing they could. Total waste of a figure, but I'm assuming he is part of that Avengers wave that so far doesn't look all that impressive, so no big loss on my part.

Days of Future Past Set - Someone said this is an Amazon exclusive set, and if that is the case, that means it is going to be hella easy to purchase several of these sets over the course of a few months. Definitely going to try to get 3, though I believe these Sentinels are the same size as my Galactus, so I'm not sure how I'm going to display them in my Detolf without buying a new one. Wish there were some close up picks of the figures themselves though.

Aim Soldier 2 pack - Not interested in AIM. Wish they would do more Hydra Soldiers.

MCU Ultron - Already own the BAF one.

Miles and Spider-Gwen 2 pack - I already have their previous figures, so no interest in this set at all.

Vintage Black Panther - Pretty happy with my Walmart version that looks like BP came right out of his debut issues in Fantastic Four.

Vintage Hawkeye - At first I was excited but then I realized it's just a repaint of the Hawkeye figure I have no, just without the robot arm. The problem lies in that I absolutely hate the Hawkeye figure I have. He can't hold his bow or arrow properly, his quiver bag doesn't stay on, and the skirt/shoulder armor piece doesn't sit properly, so I'm probably going to pass.

Vintage Scarlet Spider - Already own the one from a few year's back, so I'm good. I'm not spending $20 for a blonde Peter head.

Vintage Vision - Definitely a must buy and he looks incredible. Though, why does Hasbro love giving Vision fists? I prefer him with open hands. Hell, the artwork on the box shows him with an open hand, so why not let us recreate that image? No idea what the Ultron head goes to though.

Archangel - OH MY FUCKING GOD!!!! Not only does he look friggin fantastic, but he comes with multiple heads, one of which is his Death head from when he was one of the Four Horsemen. HELL YEAH!!!! He is probably the highlight of the convention for me, though I heard he is a Gamestop exclusive, which means I will never seen him. -_- Well, I might when I go to the Mall of America when I'm in MN in April, but I'll never see him here in CO.

Magik - I already have this figure from the SDCC pack from a few year's ago, so I'm good. The additional accessories are cool, but I can't justify getting another one just for those. They should have done her 80s New Mutants look.

Well that seems to be all of the figures. Honestly, there was a lot to like, but at the same time, I feel this was the weakest SDCC showings to pass since I got into Marvel Legends.
Armored spider-man ? Where did you see that?

Ah, I haven't been able to read those issues yet since Marvel stopped their Omnibuses with the marriage between Madelynn and Scott and they never appeared in either Inferno or Fall of the Mutants.

If it ends up being Colossus, we'd only need a new Iceman and Jean to finish up the Gold Team. Then Beast and Jubilee to round out the Blue Team.

'90s X-Men, ahoy!
Worst case scenario I can just get a Marvel Select Colossus, yah he's huge, but he was also huge on the cover of X-men #1 (1991) too. For Ice man... I just need a new headsculpt without the pokey hair. I don't really need Jubilee since I only care about recreating the foldout cover of X-men #1. So hopefully that Magneto is orange Magneto too.

I think they said he is a timed Gamestop and Entertainment Earth exclusive... whatever that means. I think Back in Black Deadpool was a timed Gamestop exclusive as well and now I literally see him everywhere.

Just realized no further members of Alpha FLight or X-Force were revealed. Bummer.

Rektangular claimed there's gonna be an all X-Force wave in 2019. Given he was spot on with his leaked predictions for SDCC (Deadpool on a vespa, Professor X in a wheelchair and a second Black Panther wave) it's likely accurate.

Just sell it on ebay. You can probably still get a decent amount for it. Loose ones were going for as much as $150 yesterday. Maybe you can get 50-60% of that, hopefully more if you put it up now. I'm still deliberating, but I will probably keep my archangels I have now(2 of each version.) I will get this new one, but I don't like it a whole bunch. I will probably stick it with other x-men and use the hit monkey as a horseman with the death head.

I remember when Hasbro announced they were rereleasing the SDCC Luke Cage and suddenly the scalpers on Ebay went nuts trying to unload theirs.

I'm definitely keeping my old Archangel since I'm not really sure yet of which I will like better in the long run... the new bright one or the old darker one... can't decide for sure until I have both in hand and pose them with their teammates... definitely using the shiny new wings though.

I probably won't give my full thoughts until Monday, but let me just say this:

Blink puts every other reveal to shame for me. And I don't just mean in Marvel Legends.

To further on this point the X-force wave, might be Walgreens exclusive line like they did with the fantastic 4. Magik being the first one, A new warpath maybe as a 2nd. Fantomex as 3rd Then Nightcrawler as the 4th one
still got wolfsbane as well.

I'm disappointed the Into the Spider-verse two pack just has repainted heads when their actual film look is quite different:

I understand why, repaints are cheap, it's just a shame because I love their animated look.

No Squirrel Girl was the big disappointment for me. Not seeing a few other characters I'd like to have seen was offset by seeing a lot more I do want. But on the whole really good reveals. Blink is probably my favourite, though I would have preferred her Exiles outfit.

https://www.marauderinc.com/category-s/2088.htm

That's the first series of legends-scale weapons, with more to come.

If they (eventually) get even a quarter of what they've done in G.I. Joe/3.75" scale done in 1:12 scale, there'll be a TON of realistic weapons available for your Legends. And from my experience they're very reliable and have great customer service.

Anyway, I digress:

Really surprised they didn't show more Captain Marvel stuff. Guess they're saving that for NYCC.

Skullbuster looks like a last-minute "This wave is costing too much, give us a kitbash figure to cut those costs down a bit" kind of deal. But if it means we eventually get more Reavers, I'm down with that.

Did they ever confirm which is going to end up harder to find? Purple hair or black hair Psylocke?

Fisk looks amazing, but outside of Sable and MAYBE the new Black Cat I'm so not feeling what we've got for that wave so far.

Hercules looks great.

Black Panther wave is pretty awesome.

Archangel is annoying, because I love the pack-ins but otherwise would be likely to pass since I have the Hit-Monkey version.

AIM 2-Pack is OK. Will probably get at least one.

Enjoying the ways they're playing with the Legendary Riders figures. Professor X looks great, and I'll admit I giggled at Vespa-Deadpool even if I won't likely buy him.

Gonna be REAL happy if we can get classic Magneto with a removable helmet.

Anyway...I guess NYCC is the next place we're likely to see significant reveals (maybe single-figs/teases at some of those other cons).
