Someone ordered Namors armour from the classic female comic armour catalog by mistake.

I was just thinking about this yesterday. Who's going to justify paying full price for Spider-Ham other than serious Spider-Ham fans (I'm talking hardcore have a Spider-Ham tattoo people) or people who just really want to finish the BAF? At least if someone got him to finish the BAF they could justify that as the $20 toy and Ham as the freebie. Like you pointed out, at least the Mantis wave Rocket is fully articulated and he even had some accessories. I like Spider-Ham well enough and it's cool he has a toy at all but he really should have just been a pack-in with somebody else.

Probably more than a cameo. They even announced that John Mulaney is voicing him.

No kidding? I hadn't heard that. I was just guessing in hopes that I could say "I told you so" after the movie comes out. 😉 I didn't read a ton of Spider-Ham comics when I was a kid but I remember him fondly. I was pretty jazzed when he popped up in the Spider-Verse comics and I'm looking forward to seeing him in the movie although I don't think I can bring myself to spend $20 on a mini figure with so little articulation. Maybe he'll take off as a character and we'll get a better figure in the future.

Does anyone have the SDCC 2018 Defenders pack, and is willing to part with Colleen Wing and/or the unmasked Matt Murdock head? If so, hit me up.
I would have those same concerns if I didn't have the Star Wars: The Black Series ANH Leia. Due to the fact her whole dress is fabric, they decided to give her double elbows and bicep swivel, and it works out fine, even on as tiny a figure as her. |

Never realized how close we are to a complete X-Men Blue and Gold lineup in updated Legends form with accurate costumes. We have:
X-Men Blue: Cyclops Wolverine Psylocke Gambit Rogue We need Beast and Jubilee. For X-Men Gold: Archangel Bishop Jean Grey (could definitely use an update though) We need Storm (who's been teased), Colossus and Iceman. Probably an updated Jean Grey too though I fear we won't see that anytime soon. |

Anxiety kicking into overdrive, every new email I get I am hopeful that it's a shipping notice from Dorkside.

I didn't realize just how close we were to having the full Blue and Gold teams, either. I know I'm one of the few people who doesn't really feel the need for another Iceman, but at the same time I wouldn't be opposed (especially if they did a slightly more 'chiseled' Bobby from right after Emma really unlocked his potential - I loved the second Toy Biz Iceman from the old X-Men line that was based on that design).

Honestly, I'd be all over some late 90s X-Men. Cannonball in his blue and gold 'togs, Cecilia Reyes and Joseph in the standard uniforms (or, as a joke, Cecilia in the green-and-orange costume Hank borrowed from the Wasp for, like, one issue), Maggott, X-Man... just load me up, man.

I would scream if we got a Marrow. I still have my old Generation X Marrow proudly on display. I'd prefer the green-and-blue costume (and matching bone growth design) from the first half of her run with the team, but at this point, I wouldn't be picky (so long as it's not the 'pretty' version from the second half). yes to all that! Even Joseph and Maggott, who I never cared for. But let's face it at this point I'd be buying figures of X-characters I don't like simply becuase they're X-characters, unless of course they were in some super hard to get exclusive set. I never did try to get that con exclusive Feral from the 90's toy biz days.
![]() Oh man, that Feral... one thing I actually really appreciate, even in hindsight, about that era of toys, was how weirdly varied it was, and how even off-the-wall characters could get figures as exclusives through the ToyFare magazine, even if they were pretty chincy slapjobs in some cases. I think I still have my ToyFare-exclusive Multiple Man sitting around somewhere, back when you could also win those figures at the Wizard booth's prize wheel on the daily.

Ran into some remnants of the Cull wave at Walmart this morning...sorta...
![]() At least they left the BAF leg with their shitty custom...so that's a plus... |

I'm in the same boat. I figure that, as long as they're back on making X-Characters, I'll support the hell out of every wave I can that has them in it, if only in the hopes that it helps sales just enough to continue warranting X-Waves (yeah, I got some pumped-up self importance, what of it?

I loved the fact that line had so many oddball and relatively minor characters like Tusk, Comcast, but there were some glaring omissions too - almost all female - no Siryn, Boomer, Karma, Moonstar - none of which have had a figure EVER IIRC. On the other hand there are definitely days that I think about my collection and the only reason I still am hanging on to most of it is if I ever want to display it, I have display scale accurate Exodus. ![]() |
