Yup give collectors a bad name with shit repacks!! If they just wanted antman keep him and sell the leg, with how hard it is to find that wave as well as not a lot of collectors wanted that version of antman they probably could have gotten their money back just selling the cull leg to another collector.

I loved the fact that line had so many oddball and relatively minor characters like Tusk, Comcast, but there were some glaring omissions too - almost all female - no Siryn, Boomer, Karma, Moonstar - none of which have had a figure EVER IIRC. On the other hand there are definitely days that I think about my collection and the only reason I still am hanging on to most of it is if I ever want to display it, I have display scale accurate Exodus. if we ever get a ML Exodus I might seriously have to think about parting with most of that collection. Not the deluxe figures though. I'm keeping my onslaught Apocalypse.
Yeah, that was during the 'female characters don't sell' era of thinking that we're still working to break free of. Hell, I remember people being excited that we were getting a Polaris figure... despite it being a straight repaint of Rogue, still with her 'power punch action,' AND packed in with a translucent green machine gun... like that made any sense.

On the other hand, they did give us a lot of characters who we would have to wait until... well, now to get, literally. Blink and Typhoid Mary, for starters. But that was after they started doing more collector-aimed stuff. And yeah, they still didn't give us any of the ones you mentioned. So its definitely got its pros and cons.

Man, I would so love a ML Exodus. He's gotta be in consideration, right? I mean, he's popped up enough to be a second-tier X-Villain by now.

I have to say the same with that new Black Cat figure. She’s basically know for being a swift breeze away from a wardrobe malfunction.

I though Sabretooth's condescendingly sexist term of choice was 'frail'?

With the ANADM costume updates, Felicia finally got herself one she could zip up all the way, it would seem.

My SDCC Red Skull w/Tesseract arrived today...here's some quick thoughts.

First off, I did not expect the box to be this big, or heavy for that matter. I was also surprised to see how the Red Skull was placed in the packaging as well, with no plastic cover over it and only a few plastic ties to hold him in. I guess it's not necessary to have the plastic cover thanks to the thick cardboard box it comes in (which is rather nice...if excessive...) but it still kinda threw me off when I first saw it.

As for the figure itself, this is almost exactly what I wanted from a MCU Red Skull years ago, delivering in many ways that the Select figure did not. The headsculpt bares a passing resemblance to Hugo Weaving without being a caricature like the Steve Rogers head was on the original MCU Cap figures. The eyes are nicely screenprinted (which I wasn't expecting...from photos I gathered they were painted on.) The line work on the coat is very clean as well, as well as the Hydra logo on his left shoulder. Absolutely no complaints there.

For those of you who might be worried that this is a repurposed Black Series figure, don't worry...it's not. The sculpt is new and unique, and is also a bit taller than your standard Black Series figure (here, my custom Red Skull, which uses a Death Star Trooper body.)

My only complaints with this figure, is that the hands seem a bit large, especially the hand that grips the Tesseract. I also wish that this figure came with his laser Luger/Mauser pistol that he used in the movie, along with a proper gripping hand with a trigger finger. The hands pop off easy though, so I guess I'll just have to be on the hunt for a set that will work with him. Lastly...this figure cannot stand for ****. For whatever reason, he likes to lean forward and topple over, no matter how I position his legs. Also, take GREAT CARE when utilizing the ankle joints, as mine had an incredibly strong ratchet within them, and since the plastic is a bit stiff, there is a good chance they could break if you are not careful with them.

One final note why I love this figure...

If you have the Red Skull figure from the Mandroid wave, the head works perfectly with this MCU body. The skin tones on the neck even match the head. If you don't have that figure and want to use the one from the Iron Skull, you'll have to mod it unfortunately. Still though, this is also the look I wanted for my comic Red Skull, so now I'm hoping that I'll be able to come across another loose figure at some point once the price point drops down a bit (hopfully...)

I haven't even gotten to messing around with the Tesseract yet...because I've been too busy fiddling with this guy. I highly recommend.

LOVE that shot! The pink / purple lighting is fantastic,

Just got my shipment confirmation from Dorkside, and can’t wait until these show up at my door! I’ve been needing villains, and wanting to shoot Wolverine vs. Sabretooth ever since I pre-ordered.

In other huge news, the X-Men officially became a part of Disney this morning, so I had to take a pic commemorating said event

Have fun, all!

I wish teleporting toys to you was an actual thing. I'D BE SO HAPPY!

Dorksidetoys is actually a couple of miles down the interstate from the movie theater I was at today. They posted a couple of shots on Instagram showing they had the wave in stock so I stopped by to pick mine up.

Ah, I was not aware they had a physical location you could walk into. That's pretty cool. The only figure store around me that allows you to buy locally marks up the prices 200%. Like the day the first wave of the Batman Arkham Asylum figures came out they were selling everyone but Harley for $45 while Harley was $75.

That's part of the reason why I stopped going to comic book stores and collectible shops.

I think they're just fulfilling preorders for cases and sets right now but you could send them an email to check.

Except that Tony battled alcoholism for years in the comics...nothing rebel about it.

I just got the Apocalypse wave in yesterday and excuse my French but holy SHIT this wave is amazing! It's just hit after hit after hit. Even the figures that people didn't seem to care too much for like Psylocke and Sabertooth I found myself absolutely loving. The only real dud for me is Magneto. I just can't connect with this costume choice at all.

I'll probably do an overview for the wave tomorrow. I also got Doc Ock this week, and I'm getting Elektra, Cloak and Dagger tomorrow. All of this combined with the news that the X-Men and F4 are officially coming home makes me a very happy Marvel fan.
