I am dying for some FF figures...when were the last FF4 figures release for Legendss? I assume it was Ares wave Johnny storm?
SOmetimes I look at my legends and cannot believe we have not received an update in 10-12 years.... Like I would love updated Thing or Colossus or or Scorpion or Captain Marvel. Some figures still are fantastic and others need an update bad simply due to it being so long ago. I was in High school when the Classics began....which led to the legends. The very last ones are the Twin packs if you want to get the full FF
although you get Johnny storm partically flamed on compared to the single ares one Ben and Reed Sue and Johnny they're the most updated , though i went for the movie figures cause i preferred them. The downside though is ben not being that tall |

I am proud of my SPiderman collection, those figures are fantastic. I know they never will, but will love if Hasbro revisits some of the artists renditions of SPiderman over the years, similar how TOy Biz did it and do figures based on it.
It's been susch a long time since we had a Venom or comic Electro. I know SDCC the SPider Infinite figures were announced, they did not announce all of them correct? I was hoping the ROML Dr. Doom would have led to some F4 stuff. Heck even more Future Foundation but....no rumors even. |

Anybody know where I can still order the X-Men Legends - Previews Exclusive - Set of 5 With BAF Jubilee? BBTS appears to be sold out. Is TRU supposed to be stocking all of these eventually? Thanks for the help.

Haha yeah, it's mainly cuz I already have the Puck wave Wolverine. I'd have bought him if he came with a swappable head and/or didn't already own one.

Yep, Diamond Exclusive. Emma Frost is so hard to get right now for less than $80. She was packed 1 per case.
I like an idiot bought the other 3 not knowing this. Now I need her like a MOFO! I think that's why people are freaking about Storm and Magneto in the new wave. |

Actually they're not you could get this one and the price dropped which is pretty good. Granted you'll have extra figures, but not too bad, either that or try get a complete single set from Ebay.

Thanks. I know the manager at our local TRU. Maybe I can get him to order a fresh case or two. Seems like Magneto & Storm are the hard ones to find.

From what the managers at my local TRU have told me, they're just sent things to put on the shelf, and they have no control over what comes in. That's a really bad business plan...

I talked to a TRU.com CS dude last week and he said there might be a restock for the Jubes wave in Sept. So take that broad statement with a grain of salt.

In NY I usually see some Greek dude and an older gent go around and buy up ALL the rare figures. My job sends me different locations so I always see them.
Someone else explained to me the Toy Wiz hires people to send out and look and purchase all the high demand(RARE) figures they can in the NY area for there warehouse. So in NY we have to deal with those types.....so it pains me to hear that Storm may or may not be in stores because those gents are around. Originally Black Widow was so tough to find, my buddy from Hasbro sent one for me thankfully but those favors are so far between. Bummed out I can't score a White Queen at a decent price also. |

If I buy that case of Wolverine Legends would anyone want the Puck BAF for like $50? I just want the 4 figures and plan on giving the extra Wolverine to my nephew.

@VashTS
Are you suggesting there is some shady Kingpin-type figure of the NYC scalping scene?!?! Being formerly of the city, I really shouldn't be surprised at all...I've encountered crazier things! Its just that your account almost sounds like the makings of an urban-legend being spun into a cautionary bedtime story for young collectors..."little Johnny, have you ever heard of the story of the TOY-WIZ?"...Awesome!! Edit: I just reread your post and it dawned on me that you might have meant ToyBiz which adds perspective (I'm slow sometimes lol).....but damn, I really hope you meant what I originally thought you meant ![]() Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 08-25-2014 at 05:16 PM.. |

I have no allegiance to ToyWiz, I don't ever even hear of collectors shopping with them, but if what you believe about them is true...then what?? If you are looking for 'hot' figures - no pun intended, ask around here when they're current, and you might be surprised once in awhile. Just my 2 cents worth here, take care bro. And, I'll add this...if you buy an employee a coffee every time he/ she holds a handful of figs for you, I think it's a totally cool trade off. Sometimes when a pal brings you a coffee/ soda to you when on shift, it totally changes the day's outlook!

No offence intended VashTS, but how do you know those dudes aren't just regular scalper dudes? Or really....any random older dudes that like hanging out where children's toys are sold?? *ahem!* My point is if you're not getting figures because someone else is getting them ahead of you - make a connection at your most conveniently located store and take advantage of it. Or frequent an LCS for all your shopping...you may even get discounts on top of the savings your getting by not travelling to and fro not finding anything.

Great you have no allegiance to ToyWiz, could care less about what you think of my interaction and dealings. I just stated facts of what I know, who I talk with and what I observe. To each their own I guess. meh... |
