I even found an old Indian for Cap. Sadly nobody makes a Norton that I have found, so nothing quite right for Wolverine yet. The Maisto’s are $15-20, the NewRay $10-15. (Maisto has more die cast. But NewRay has decent detail for action figs.) You can find them easily on Amazon.

After the costume choice for the vintage Wasp I can see them rectifying another one of Toybiz's unreleased variants and give us the black costume/Extreme X Men/Crimson Dawn Psylocke.

From what I have been reading online, it would appear we have yet another running change possibly, this time involving Typhoid Mary. Many people are spotting versions of Mary that do not have the eyeshadow, nor the exaggerated, Joker-like lipstick, as well as having different colored eyes. It's always possible that this could simply be a QC issue, but being that Hasbro has been dropping more and more of these variants as of late, my thought process is that this is intentional.

If so, I really wish they would stop. I've never been a fan of variant or chase figures, and this has been something that Hasbro has been toying around with as of late, and even posted as a question on their recent poll. While some people enjoy variants, I always found them to be needlessly stressful, and I remember the variant nonsense that was the late 90's / early 2000s. Exclusives are one thing...but variants are a whole different ball game altogether and I wish they would let it lie.

Thanks for the info. Looks nice, especially at those prices.

I wish they would have included a Crimson Dawn head with the current release. Good call on that.

I thought I heard there was going to be a Amazon 3 pack with Classic Magneto, Quicksilver, and Scarlet Witch coming next year.

But if they are doing a Retro Toy Biz X-men classics, will they be on the orange style Toy Biz cards???

I'm guessing:
  • Apocalypse wave Wolverine but with light blue on his costume
  • Warlock wave Cyclops but with the shading from the Dark Phoenix 2 pack
  • Psylocke with the normal blue costume
  • Iceman but in translucent white with a "bald" head
  • Beast on the Jackal body
  • Repaint of the upcoming Storm to this costume. While there are some differences, I think they're close enough that Hasbro might try it.

I doubt we'll get Beast in this wave because the Vintage wave does tend towards repaints of already created (or in process of creation) characters. We know the JL storm is coming and this would be an excellent way to get both a black and a white outfit. I think most everyone else of the core X-Men but Beast or Nightcrawler are game, since there's no official word either is coming as yet, though of course, that could change with the next set of reveals.

Love that Jim Lee BEAST! I really hope he's a reveal soon!
I think if the two waves we know about are any indication, the vintage wave will indeed be re-releases and repaints. I'm hoping for the Jim Lee/animated JUBILEE mentioned earlier and a re-release of Jean Grey with better hands,a pony tailed head and RED HAIR!

Fantastic! Wouldn't mind grabbing an extra Bobby to do that as well. Or did you do some part-swapping from another Pizza Spidey-mold figure to start with?

Jim Lee Storm. now, whether that's for 2019 or 2020, part of a wave or a two pack or single exclusive, it's hard to tell. But Hasbro panel at SDCC asked the audience which color they'd want the outfit to be, White, Silver, or Black - so she's definitely coming, one way or another. It would be great to get both a white and black - whichever is already planned, the other would be in the Vintage wave and that way they'd have two molds out of the exact same figure.

Because of the reveals at SDCC, I got back on the X-Men wagon hard. I had a pretty extensive collection I sold off 2 years ago, with Nemesis/Holocaust being my only X-Men related Legend figure left.

This is my collection a month later! All customs are done by me, and I included a picture of a fairly easy 1991 Wolverine custom, which does need some more work tbh.

More X-Men are fine by me as long as we keep getting Jim Lee/Animated/90s inspired versions!

Same order I would prioritize as well. And to a lesser extend a first appearance version later on.

We definitely need that as well. I feel like with Storm once we've got the Jim Lee (regardless of just one or two or whatever colors, though more would be better) and the First Appearance, I could be happy and not need another version of Storm. but we've got to get both of those, they're both too iconic, though for different reasons.

I always felt in the comics Storm was dressed in a black highly reflective leather. Then the cartoon came out and her costume was white. I prefer black myself but if it is white I think it should have some sort of gloss/pearl finish.

For some reason Storm is like Wolverine for me, meaning I would buy multiple versions to get various outfits.

That's pretty much me and any of the X-Men. Except Beast. I don't want/need/desire either Cat-Beast or Ape-Beast. I swear when Hasbro gives us a Beast figure it had darn well better be classic/Jim Lee (which is close enough) Beast.

I still love the old ML Beast, but I think thats from lack of a better option. We DEFINITELY need a new version in the Jim Lee style! Im sure it will happen.

Who needed the IW Wasp because of a broken arm? PM me. Picked up 1 at my Walmart today. 3rd time this store has received a re-stock. Just looking for cost plus shipping. Will need a MO as Paypal screwed up my account years ago and won't fix.
