The fight scenes appear to have been done much better this time around.

God, season 1 was was atrocious. Incredibly slow pacing and completely unconvincing fight choreography...when Danny actually fought.

Haven’t thought too hard about the others in a potential Alpha Flight boxset but Guardian could use the Captain Britain head, Aurora could use the new Blink head (hopefully with a different hairpiece), Snowbird could use Enchantress’ head (the tiara is about the same shape depending on the artist) and Marrina could use the Domino head. Being easy repaints has to increase the chances of their happening.

Thanks! except if that's the time I think you switched the times and time zones, should be 1PM est and 10am PST? And I agree with all your examples of easy to do. Northstar also could easily use a slightly retooled Namor head, with new hair. Shaman would likely be the only one requiring a little more work. Also with Snowbird we have the Songbird wings that would work really well, though they would probably need to be scaled down a tad. Also, as an additional comment I DON'T want Snowbird to only be represented in animal form, that's for sure.


Edit: just learned that Graviton is Canadian as well. PLEASE Hasbro? Pretty please??

Eh, as I joked with a friend last night, they'll tease us with two Canadian characters and then reveal Deadpool and Wolverine.

Marvelous News is reporting it's started, just going over already revealed stuff right now. They think the new stuff reveals will be at the end...not sure how long it runs though.

I'm predicting 3-5 figures. 1-2 X-Men related, 1-2 for the Avengers wave (probably Glaive/Maw though possibly shuri by herself) and one from the Captain Marvel wave. And Firestar of course.....NOT.

it's very frustrating for me that Guardian is the Alpha Flight member they've chosen. I am not celebrating this. We already HAVE guardian from the Ares wave. I realize the figure will be 10 years old at that point but still...the Alpha Flight pickings have been extremely slim and they're giving us one that's already been done once.

I will definitely say that Mystique looks great, no real interest in Weapon X or Wendigo, but if they're part of wave I want most of I'm sure I'll order the whole wave. I wonder if there these are for the X-Men wave or not (minus Mystique who should be WG exclusve). If so the wave is looking less promising, not more, at least as far as I'm concerned.

Come on though. Are we going to have an Alpha Flight team of multiple Guardians, a Sasquatch and a puck? What about Northstar, Aurora, Snowbird, Shaman, even Vindicator (Heather Hudson) and Marrina? It's not like the old Guardian is an awful figure. I normally wouldn't find this so frustrating, but considering how much we've been going on about needing alpha flight figures done, and how few they've shown up over the years, I can't be the only one that feels this is kind of backhanded they're giving us one that has been done before, instead of the many characters that haven't been done at all.

But you know, if we continue to press them for Alpha Flight and then get excited about figures that are redone, we will never get closer to completed teams, and Hasbro won't care, they will go the easy route because they will sell regardless. To each their own though. I'm personally saddened by their choice.

I assume Wendigo is the BAF for the X-men wave? Maybe..just maybe we'll see a two pack with Northstar and Aurora in it soon. I think HASBRO is focusing on building the team for us over the next few X-men waves.

Well, that was disappointing. All they needed to do was to show Snowbird, or a Northstar and Aurora two pack, basically any Alphan that's never been made, and it would have wow the world.
Alas, At least we get a perfect Mystique at last.

I think this is the most negative I've ever seen you about a reveal, Nash

But personally, looking at the older Guardian figure, I'd much rather have the newer one, especially if Hasbro decides to go forward with more Alpha Flight members - his spindly, over-jointed design would stick out like a sore thumb. Personally, I'm more concerned about what body they're putting him on, since I'd really rather not see him on the Bucky Cap mold, but I can't tell from the photo. Hopefully we'll get some floor photos, if they put him out?

Wendigo is kinda meh, but mostly because I'm in the camp of people who think he should be more lanky, and not just a reuse of Sasquatch. That said, I do like his new head. Reminds me of the Wendigos that showed up in Amazing X-Men.

Weapon X Wolvie is another filler - I don't feel the need for as many Logans as we're getting. That said, he's not bad, and if he's part of an X-Wave, I'll get him regardless. I do hope he's not the double-pack, though. That design doesn't have the draw of blue-and-yellow Wolvie.

Mystique looks perfect, from what I can tell. A much-needed addition to the collection, especially since she's in her classic outfit. Now hook us up with some more of her Brotherhood lineup!

Sorry, I guess it's great for all that want him and never got him before as I know that wave was hard to find, or those that feel they need an updated one. I have to remember there are reasons they choose the characters they choose to do. It's just getting any Alpha Flight characters are so rare, that's all, and they're so high on my GET DONE list, making up nearly half of my top 10 wanted figures, they are major wants for me personally.

And yes, if they continue to make more Alpha Flight characters in the next few years it's fine. It's fine either way, and at any rate it is what it is.

Anyways I will stop now (actually was going to stop but I can't stop myself from stopping! LOL). I promise! I won't say anything about it again or at least will try not to!

I wonder if all of this might not be an X-wave but part a Wolverine wave instead? I could see how that could work...thoughts? Maybe they'll give us a Deathstrike in with it.
