That would suck for most Emma fans.

Hey, I'm in 100% support of new outfits getting figures. I kinda feel that's the way it should be, y'know? Main release stuff gets the new outfit and variants/exclusives are the older outfits.

I guess it would depend on the era of comics to which you (the individual collector) are attached. I am not a big Marvel Now person. While I'd likely get a modern version of Emma, the classic look would appeal to me more. However, I vacillate even as it pertains to classic looks of characters. I'm not a huge fan, but I constantly read comments regarding building out Jim Lee's X-men line-up. Not too long ago, the Legends line released a Jean from that period which was received pretty well. In addition, that old Jim Lee Cyclops still sells for inflated prices and remains coveted. It must be difficult for Hasbro to gauge the pulse of which iteration of a character to produce. Temperaments are so fluid and fickle that its a toss up. Maybe a polling system is in order? Nah....that would likely be a disaster....

This guy....
VashTS. Would your name be Daniel by any chance? You remind me of a guy I once knew... Anyway. I can say I am fairly close to owning every Marvel Legend in existence I also collect DCUC, Play Arts, Hot Toys,Neca, Japanese imports such as Figma, Revoltech, & Figurarts. I am have OCD and an amazing eye for detail. I won't bore you all with me "intelligence" or my IQ score but I just wanted to give everyone a framework for my statement. Marvel Legends is my benchmark collection in which ALL other toylines are judged. They are an amazing combination of sculpt, paint, AND price point. Hasbro when they first got the line stumbled pretty bad but now I can happily say most taste test challenges Hasbro v Toybiz well hasbro wins. -Black Widow v Black Widow -Hasbro has not one but TWO Black widows that surpass the toybiz one -Jean Grey v Jean Grey -tie! -Elektra v Elektra -Hasbro wins I am sure I am forgetting some but that was all from the top of my head. As you can see Hasbro wins or ties WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more then they lose and the Hasbro Jean mops the floor with the Phoenix, the only good thing was the head sculpt on the old one, as for Elektra The Toy Biz one is much much better

If Hasbro releases another Emma it has to be the Hellfire Club version.
![]() Another modern/astonishing version would be redundant. |

The reason I don't think fans would be very positive about the Marvel-Now Emma is that many long-term fans are familiar with the classic look, and the Marvel-Now costume is guaranteed to go away eventually and return to something more formulaic. The new costumes should be the variants because less collectors actually read the material and will be unfamiliar with the look, the more identifiable costumes should be main/mass release since that's what they know. It would be like if the Wolverine that was just released was his newest costume instead of the familiar yellow and blue tiger-stripes, it would deter the typical collector who is usually only a casual reader.

Girl you're crazy, the Hasbro Black Widow looks like a grandma, the Toy biz had a much prettier face, the Scarlet takes the cake though. and the Hasbro Jean mops the floor with the Phoenix, the only good thing was the head sculpt on the old one, as for Elektra The Toy Biz one is much much better |

I'd love to own Rocket and Groot, but I have yet to see Rocket in a store (I refuse to shop online for him). I've seen every other figure in the wave, but I'm gun-shy about getting any of them without getting the one I want most first.
Psst. Chuck's a guy.

I think Hasbro could release all-star 3 packs, there are many figures they have put out years ago now that they likely still have the molds for. Emma would be a shoe-in of course, but which other characters need a re-release? Deadpool? 2-pack Winter Soldier? X-Force Warpath? I stÍll don't have the latter two, and cannot see affording them in the near future lol.
I do understand the wants, but I'm not sure Hasbro would even do such a thing. If they made a henchman 3-pack, it would definitely sell out IMO.

Same problem here in Miami. I found one Magneto behind a load of Wolverines and the BAF piece was stolen. I was gonna turn it in to management but TRU employees or any retailer dont understand unless you explain to them that 1) without the BAF piece the figure losses most of its value to the customer 2) Customers should not be allowed to purchase two of the same figure when it comes to Marvel Legends so we dont run into a situation of 50 Wolverines and Cyclops. I imagine scalpers also purchase the whole set and hold on to it until a new shipment is requested then return all the figures they bought.

This is why I hate the BaF gimmick. There's always a rare figure with a piece you need, or just multiple figures you don't want at all, but you want the BaF so you have to get them. Then aftermarket prices are never kind, $50 for a Groot is ludicrous, that's implying that just over $8 of every legend is for the BaF piece alone.

Heck yeah I'm down with that! They should release Selene since she's alive and kicking now... |

like you I have been looking for a DP but outside the KO's I haven't found a legit one at reasonable cost. Realistically DP doesn't need another release unless there is a major change with him...if they had released the Red version of Marvel Legends Epic Heroes in the US we would be all good..but they did the grey version instead so we got screwed...

On their SDCC show, Marvelicious News mentioned that they asked the Hasbro team about Red Deadpool and white Dr. Doom, and Hasbro's response was that due to Deadpool (in his red costume specifically I guess) and Dr. Doom being associated with Fox films, they had licensing conflicts preventing them from being able to sell them in the states. Interesting side note from the same show though, Hasbro is trying to get 2 waves of Legends figures greenlit for X-Men Age of Apocalypse, and if it happens, Phoenix 5 Cyclops would possibly be released (which would also seem to be an ideal time for Rogue, White Phoenix, Moonstar, and other X associated characters with cancelled figures to get released as well).

None of the LCS or online stores even sold them..yet I hear they are plentiful in the UK. They released regular Doom and GreyPool here so that response from them doesn't jive |

I'm not sure which stores in the UK got the variants, but I also don't think they were priced higher than any other figures released from that wave. I still think it was an accident they got out to the public, but a huge toy company would never admit that.

how much does it cost to get into sdcc? I'm tired of paying ebay prices for sdcc exclusives.

1. Getting a Ticket [i hear it's hard enough] 2. Transport i.e plane , bus , car etc on top of that parking 3. Their time, someone waiting to get 1 or 2 sets one to keep and sell to people like us 4. if you get a plane back they might need to pay a customs charge. 5. Hotel - i think it's too big for just one day ?? So if you think about they go through a lot more then simply "buy it now" and sending it to you. if you get a fair price, for me it kinda is okay to spend alot or what i seem is a fair price. prie is when i asked google "In addition to the elimination of the four-day badge, the cost of attendance has gone up from 2013. Single-day badges for adults cost $35 for Preview Night, $45 for Thursday-Saturday badges (up from $42) and $30 for Sunday (up from $24)." |

With Magik presumably coming, and Moonstar already made and shelved yet who knows might make a reappearance, Madrox, Polaris and to a lesser degree Sunspot Blink, Syrin Marrow and Dazzler would be my wants for X-Men heroes legends. Villains are another story but the list is getting less and less. Two waves of X-men: Apocalypse figures would be awesome. If we got that we'd have Cannonball, Moonstar Sunspot and Magik of New Mutants. The rest of the New Mutants I could care less about. It's just irritating we have only Cannonball out of that whole thing (not counting characters who were part of the X-Force run). Though if they released a Wolfsbane I would probably buy it if I could find it cheap. |

It would be nice to see the Madrox figure that was a prototype in the fan's choice contest a few years back also get released but I'm probably just grasping at straws.

I think Wolfsbane would be a cool figure, if they could pull it off. Maybe Hasbro could take a page out of the Diamond Select book and instead of a giant figure (not that it would be a bad thing), take 2 that work together and a decent dio piece...like Cloak and Dagger with a fair sized chunk of a back alley or both versions of Wolfsbane that comes with something appropriate...lol
Where the box set of the Howling Commando's?? And Jack of Hearts dagnabit!?

I picked up Rocket pretty much just because I've liked his character since I was a kid (a raccoon wearing a green vest, green boots, and toting around deadly firepower for the purpose of clown killing was so awesome to me), but I will say as a figure it's lackluster. Could have used just a little more pose, and maybe another accessory SPOILER FOR GOTG I'm sure they could have fit a planter-pot sapling baby Groot from the ending hidden in package behind the cardboard frame SPOILER FOR GOTG but of course I overall like the figure even though I'm aware that comes from bias towards liking the character so much.
