There's still three spots left in the first Spider-Man wave. I'm going to bet that Mr. Negative is one of them. We know a Spider-Man version or variant of will be another one, possibly two. If it's just one I'm REALLY hoping we get Morlun. We do need a new Scorpion but as far as a never done before figure in this scale, Morlun tops my list.

He'd be such an easy figure to make that he HAS to be coming soon. |

![]() Though, in the case of Mr. Negative, I agree. Way too easy of a design for Hasbro to pass on and I assume the game's spotlight on the character has to have sealed the deal. Hoping that when he comes, maybe he'll come with a few of his Inner Demons' head-sculpts. They have some interesting designs and would be a nice bonus to swap onto some of those suited bodies floating around. ![]() Last edited by redfox; 09-16-2018 at 11:36 AM.. |

I just know we need something to make this Kingpin wave palatable. Mr. NEgative, Scorpion, Morlun, Firestar (though won't happen)...anything more than what we've got.

No real love for Morlun, myself. Though, I'd hope to get him just to get his base body sculpt. Depending on the art, he's pretty much a ruffled collar & ponytail away from being a decent Sebastian Shaw. Hopefully Hasbro would take note.

Have you actually purchased the first upgrade for each gadget? Purchases have to be done in sequential order. |

i was looking back on some figs from this year...
before i take my 2018 Legends figures pic... and i've had a lot of time to sit on this fig...and i'm gonna say. i think (unless there is one i'm not remembering)..that the Thanos BAF from the MCU is my LEAST favorite BAF from this year. I don't like it much at all. Last year Titus took that honor. |

That seems to be the intention. She was shown with the other 2018 retail exclusives during the SDCC panel. Also, I vaguely remember mentions of her figure popping up for pre-order on some overseas store with a release of December.

That thing looks, feels, and articulates like a late 90's Toybiz figure that came in one of their random Spidey lines. And it didn't include the pilot as well...so double blech... ![]() |

So now that I almost have the Sp//dr wave complete (just need House of M Spider-Man), I think I can safely rank the wave for me. From worst to best:
House of M Spider-Man - Don't own the figure, but I don't expect anything shocking with it. It's just not a look that really stands out to me in particular and it's yet another version of Peter Parker. Meh. Daredevil - I'm pretty surprised with how much I like this figure, and basically the only reason it's this low on the list is because I already have 3 other Daredevils that I like more than this figure and the rest of the wave is pretty strong IMO, though I do like this costume quite a bit. Love the new sculpted parts, and though conceptually the "string" for the baton is a good idea, I really wish it was bendy wire. I definitely want to see some kitbashing with this figure. I might take his boots and arm wraps (which appear to be a separate, glued on piece) and put them on my Defenders Daredevil for my ultimate version of DD. Or I might just keep this figure as is, because I do like it. Dagger - I love that we have the character now, but the figure itself doesn't really stand out. Maybe the figure might have benefited from a more pearlescent white. Or maybe there's simply not much that can be done with Dagger's costume design to make it stand out on a shelf. Either way, I still enjoy the figure a bit, but she doesn't have that "Wow" factor that some other figures in the wave have. Elektra - I LOVE this figure. Thank goodness we finally have a good Elektra figure to add to the Marvel Knights/Daredevil character ranks. Just wish she had double-jointed elbows, since she's supposed to be an assassin. Also mine has this weird hole in her thigh that's covered in darker paint. Don't know what that's about, but either way I really dig the Elektra from the wave. Scarlet Spider - Awesome update to a character and costume that I'm a big fan of. Love that it has the spikes coming out of the hand and an alternate "zombie"-style face. Great choice in body mold too. Love this figure. Cloak - This figure basically doesn't move, but goddamn Hasbro nailed it with the sculpt of the cloak, the headsculpt and the translucent parts. This figure definitely has a menacing presence on a shelf that makes it immensely appealing. Doc Ock - Come on, who else could it really be? The body used for this is basically perfect and literally the only flaw to be found on the figure anywhere is the lack of bendy tentacles. Otherwise, a great update to a classic Spider-Man villain. Moving onto Sp//dr (who I'm only missing the left leg for and I definitely have to agree with the sentinment that it's probably the weakest BAF I've seen in a very long time. The character design is already somewhat meh to me (I would have preferred that Supaidaman replace House of M Spidey in this wave and Leopardon be the BAF for the wave, but he'd be laughably out of scale) but to top it all off, Hasbro dropped the ball with the articulation, with no ankle rocker and limited shoulder articulation going side to side. I guess the idea of a super nimble mecha could have been awesome and made up for the subpar design, but this figure really doesn't move that well. And it's sad because I think this has been an incredibly strong year for BAFs (even Okoye is a great figure, it's just undersized for a BAF) and Sp//dr doesn't continue that tradition IMO.... |

Hoping the Kree soldier has an alternate blue head. Really want a figure of the movie's Ronan, too. Looking good, though. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Apparently these initially showed up on Amazon? Did Hasbro just assume Katie Sackhoff was going to get this and go ahead with her likeness? I kid. She actually looks more like Rita from Dexter in the face.
They all look a little weird. I'm sure I"ll want a Skrull but I'm not oohing or aahing over any of them. |
