It's a rather simple answer if you ask me...Captain America is still one of the most popular Avengers among the casual crowd, and on the collector front, that particular Cap figure sports the best body mold of any Cap we have received to date, surpassing even the rehashed 10 year edition. Many collectors ended up dumping the head to the IW Cap in favor of the various custom versions that are floating around on the internet, and once they did, they were rewarded with an even better version of what was already a pretty good figure to begin with, provided you could get past the headsculpt.

Hasbro really needs to stop releasing waves so close after one another, especially when they're under the same sub-line. All of Avengers Wave 1 minus Cap and Spidey are pegwarming, but the entirety of Wave 2 is impossible to find.
As I always, I advise people to check Gamestop. The distribution for the Cull Obsidian wave at the Targets and Walmart near me was terrible, but I lucked out and found my Thor at Gamestop.

Also this had me wishing the upcoming Spider-Gwen repack came with a new headsculpt.

Do you know if Starlord's head fits on the Infinity War Cap's body? I messed up my Starlord trying to do a custom job thingy and just ended up junking him, but I kept his headsculpt. I'm thinking I should just use that headsculpt as my IW Cap.

It's not out yet. Likely coinciding with the movie's release.

But again, the unmasked heads don't match up, hairstyle-wise, with the actual character models. Which is a shame - if they did, I'd absolutely double-dip and get the set.

They both fit surprisingly well, with no nodding required. The skin tones are slightly off from the neck to the head, but the newer Starlord head sits low enough on the neck peg that it masks the flaw pretty well.

Oh wow... thanks a lot for those pics... and yah, I meant the newer Chris Pratt headsculpt... single version, not the ego 2 pack version which has a slightly different look and hairstyle.

Oh...you mean the one from the Mantis Wave? (The soy boy edition with the scarf and stupid smirk...)

That one I'm not sure of. I dumped that figure immediately after acquiring the BAF part, never bothering to remove it from the plastic. (I truthfully forgot it existed.. )

I imagine it probably would work, since the heads from the Ego and Titus wave versions both work with that body according to reviews.

That’s I didn’t even think of that haha. With a accurate head sculpt (I’ve since then seen those customs you’re talking about) the figure looks absolutely outstanding. My main problem with the hair on the Figure it was just off. Ima try to get a hold of one of those heads that’s you were talking about...

Anyway If it’s already been said sorry about that but Target has clearanced the Venom wave. My stores has them for $13. Somone tried to stash a Spider ham behind some shit. Luckily I saw it and picked him up. He still feels a little too expensive for $13 haha.

Same here, I'm loving her hairstyle in the movie.

Nite...you can say what you want bro...that Ock figure still holds up. It was amazing what Toybiz could accomplish with paints, where Hasbro still struggles at times with digitized printing...

Hopefully the Gwen headsculpt will be a bit of an upgrade in hand from the previous one, which wasn't quite there...

The Hasbro re-issue (SM3 Sandman BAF) carries a stupid price to it for some reason. I'd pick up the Toybiz version if I were you and were looking for one. It's superior to the Hasbro re-release in every way.

Prices can vary depending on the version you get. There was one with a gimmick that can be found for fairly cheap, while a different version that has four, detachable bendy wire tentacles that goes for a bit more and is a bit more coveted as it was a rarity back in the day. Plus it doesn't have the gimmicked arms.

That bendy wire Ock has slightly different paint apps and articulation, on the arms in particular.

Actually, I was talking about the first pic you showed, the one on the left... I think it looks pretty good with that headswap. I am 90 percent sure I will pick up IW Cap now... just need a sale.
