I love the Toybiz version. If anything his head is a little squashed looking. Comes with a great stand for the board, magnet feet, and Howard the Duck! What More could you ask for?

I still have my Toy Biz Silver Surfer in his plastic. I bought it a while back with Mr Fantastic. I already opened Thing, Johnny Flame. Not sure why but I'm hesitating on these two for display. Maybe cause I need an Invisible Woman to finish it.

@TheBlueMarvel

WOW man! You went way above and beyond. Thank you so much for your detailed comparison and the photos. That was awesome to read and look at. I am beginning to reach the conclusion that I must simply purchase BOTH LOL!

Your photos really show the metallic paint of the Toybiz one that was missing from the images I found on a quick Google search. He definitely does not look as drab as I was thinking previously.

@marvelmando

Awesome collection! Someday I will have Starlord and Gladiator.

Most of us want that Rogue in their collections, but I think unless a shipment made it to the US, it's a 'forget you ever saw this' sort of thing lol. It could also be homemade, doubtful, but possible. The shiny part of this is that maybe there is a few boxes of the figure just hanging around waiting to be sold for a fraction of the one pictured (China sellers)

I'd like to see Hasbro take a crack at a legends Beta-Ray Bill, the MU figure we got was stellar and it was largely built around a Thor figure. Doesn't sound like it would be too hard for them to do.

That toy biz one is pretty beast. It might fit in nicely size wise with legends.

I also agree about the Toy Biz Bill. He looks great next to my Gladiator (all of my cosmic characters really). That said, I would not be opposed to a re-make....especially since he's a smaller fig than "modern Thor" and it should be the other way around.

The only reason I feel a Bill re-draft is in order is due to the scale issue Hasbro has created with Thor. Ever since the modern Thor released at SDCC a few years back, Thor has been out of scale with most figs. They created the same problem with the wrecking crew by (seemingly) increasing their size to match that of the SDCC Thor. All of these characters (Thor and the Wrecking Crew) range in heights from 6'3" to 6'6" (in their comic definitions - Marvel Universe), but their figures are built on the same buck for Warpath (or stand just as tall in the case of Thor) and he is 7'....before we queue up the obligatory "I don't agree with you because in this issue I read Thor was this much taller than such and such"....this represents my opinion, for better or worse...with that out of the way, feel free to disagree with me!

Scales are never perfect, but this issue is pretty glaring. In addition, its unlikely that it will change given the investment in ancillary figs like the Wrecking Crew. The Thor from the Giantman set is still my go to; appropriate height and forms a matching set with Bill. If I could have my druthers, Thor and Bill would be re-done using the Hyperion/Cage/Gladiator/Radioactive Man/Sentry buck in addition to the Wrecking Crew (but as I mentioned, that's not happening)...It looks like they have tried to address the Thor scale a little bit with the upcoming release of Thor/Odin/King Thor. They look like they are tracking a bit shorter (but not by much). Scale problems aren't deal breakers, but they limit line-ups for nit-picky fans like myself. I can use SDCC Thor with the Wrecking Crew and that Walmart Loki (so sad, that Loki is straight up the best Loki-sculpt of all - damn scale issues), but little else...

this is possible someone did sell a phoenix five cyclops, he might be one of those people who get it at comiccon due to his job i.e he handles the displays or whatever ...

but i would laugh so hard if they do release her

could be a custom , emma frost as the base obviously, spider-girls hair from amzing spidey 2 wave
then the rest made from clay or fodder

Gah. I would pay a tenth of that but that's crazy. For the die hard completist (and rich) collector only. As much as I love collecting and having the figures there is not a figure worth that much to me.

I doubt it. I zoomed in on the pic. It's pretty legit. Unless the seller is the best customizer in the world.

I wonder if we'll get a Thor wave when Thor 3 comes out. Wouldn't mind a mix a movie and comic version characters from that line.

Same here, and I'm hoping the put either the Enchantress or Hela (or ideally, both) in the movie so they can possibly get ML figures. I absolutely love Tom Hiddleston as Loki but I wouldn't be against seeing another antagonist. I realize he wasn't the primary antagonist in Thor 2 but I hope my meaning is clear
