It's gotten to the point where if I am really committed to getting a new Legends wave that is not movie-related, comic shops are far safer bets than retail.

Last time I was there, their Marvel Legends ranged from $40 (this was the Thanos wave) to $250.

My local Walmarts and Gamestops have been stuffed with Madcap Deadpools, Lady DP, and Laura-rine. Many of the Sasquatch figures are also warming, particularly Domino and Paladin.
Bishop and Omega Red were the first to disappear and I haven't seen much of them since the wave dropped. Maybe two or three times since. The Venom wave has been the most scarce wave for me this year I think, though the SPIDRP wave is a close second. I only ran into them the one time at Walgreens, and maybe twice since at Walmart. |

Comic- Spiderman Noir MCU- Mark VII Iron Man Worst Comic-I think Mysterio and Spiderman Noir are the only ones I've bought this year so I can't answer this fairly.... MCU-Ant-Man (Wasp version) he was a total impulse buy.

I saw Wasp and Scarlet Spidey at Gamestop but passed at the $24 price tag. I have a feeling these might peg warm again and I've pretty much committed myself to not paying more than $20 For anything I less really want it.

I went to my local Think Geek yesterday. Apparently, they don't always get full cases of figures. I was hoping to find the classic card Ant-Man, and the employee, who was super helpful, opened a box of figures that just arrived. It had 4 Scarlet Spiders, 2 Visions, 2 Hawkeyes, 2 Black Panthers and some plushies and some Star Wars figures. I was expecting to see the Hasbro case like I see at Wal-Mart or back when Toys R Us was open. Apparently, it's a crap shoot as to what they get. He took my number down and told me he would call me if an Ant-Man came in. They actually helped me out once before over the summer when I was looking for Typhoid Mary, and they made good on their promise so I trust them over there. I was just surprised that that is how they get their stuff in.

Thinkgeek gets their stuff in like Gamestop, which makes sense given Gamestop owns Thinkgeek. From what I understand of the situation the distribution center receives cases like you might see at Walmart when they're restocking but opens them and splits the contents across different stores. Sometimes a single store will wind up with a full case but often not.

I picked up the Mezco One:12 Iron Man figure which was an LA Comic Con exclusive. If you're not familiar with the Mezco Iron Man, the standard release will be the classic red and gold armor while the LACC exclusive was a black and gold repaint. I won't bore anyone with a review since this is the wrong thread for that and there are several on Youtube already. But I did want to do a proper Marvel Legends size comparison since some of you mix and match figures from other lines in your Marvel Legends displays. If I remember correctly, there was also some wish listing last month in this thread and the classic red and gold Iron Man was mentioned by a few people. So I figure there might a couple of you who are eyeing the Mezco Iron Man for you collection and would like to know how it stacks up size-wise.
I'll let the pictures do the talking from here. ![]() ![]() How the standard release will look and what he comes with: ![]() Just to be clear, this isn't "Buy this over a Marvel Legends Classic Iron Man" post. Merely an FYI for those who are interested but don't spend much time looking at the Mezco One:12 thread. |

Not the intent of your post, so I'm sorry but...is Gamer Spidey on the 2099 body, not Pizza Spidey mold?

Just curious, to those who have the Spider-Verse two pack with Miles and Gwen, are the parts interchangeable with the original figures (such as the heads and hands?) Or are the plastics a different color or peg size from the original(s)?
Same with the new Archangel heads. I know the paint is different, but are they interchangeable with the original figure? Been so busy with the new baby, but just wanted to mention that I was really impressed by the recent AIM 2 pack after finally getting my hands on one. I had missed out on these guys when the Winter Soldier wave dropped (my stores never got the running change...I was only ever able to find the Hydra trooper.) I wasn't originally keen on the Paladin figure being re-used here as well, but it looks great in these colors and it really pops. It's way better looking than the Hydra/Captain Britain goon, and it's grown on me quite a bit. I'll be picking up another set for sure as soon as things slow down at home. Hopefully we get a new MODOK in the near future! Last edited by Trivial Psychic; 11-10-2018 at 02:06 PM.. |

Asyluma was a character in a comic book I created in junior high. Your typo just made a ton of memories come flooding back. Thanks, man!

Random fun fact on the topic of the AIM 2-pack: contrary to what many think, the non-beekeeper guy in the AIM 2-pack actually does have some basis in the comics, specifically from some Avengers comics from the late 2000s or early 2010s. It's an obscure basis, but it exists; Hasbro didn't just pull that guy out of their ass.

That Black/Yellow Ironman is “badest of the asses, fellow Arker! I hope to get one, if my wallet allows it. I have the Mezco Yellow/Red and Stealth Ironman on preorder. I hope one day to build a custom Hall of Armor, and with that said, I am very much liking that Black/Yellow Ironman to be in it.
Note: I hope Mezco makes a Mark ll armor. Have not seen a Mark II armor that I am all in for... |

Basically, the figures in the 2 pack are simple repaints. I haven't part swapped everthing but all of the pegs and ball joints appear to be the same size. The plastic on the both Miles figures appears to be the same while the 2 pack Gwen appears to have matte black plastic while the original Gwen used gloss black.
