Technically Nova started as a solo hero over a decade before the New Warriors but I will agree that when he was revamped for Annihilation is when the character took a level in badass. Again I'll state that a classic Nova figure would be appreciated from Hasbro.

How many "Minor" teams are there that hasbro has delved into a little or a lot but not completed at least the primary members, even if not in team accurate outfits? I know I'm personally focusing on X-Force, New Mutants, New Warriors, Alpha Flight and Thunderbolts but there are so many others. I'm actually amazed that we're getting Nighthawk because that means we've got the 7 core Defenders all done.

That's a good one! I was thinking more heroic teams but yeah why not villain teams as well. I don't know what's more frustrating, just having one or two of a team, or having all but one or two from a team. No, I do know which is more frustrating, definitely the latter.

Was able to track down the entire Black Panther wave earlier this week at Gamestop, and picked up Civil War BP, Killmonger, and Klaue. Here's a few thoughts...
Civil War BP: It's the same figure as the Giant Man wave, with nearly no changes to it outside the new T'challa headsculpt. The headsculpt is much better this time around, and the original figure was a solid one, so it's a good pick up for those who missed him the first time around due to that wave's overall difficulty to find in stores at it's release. But it's a double edged sword, as again, it's the same exact figure, so if you managed to find that original Panther, it's essentially a 20 dollar double dip...especially since the Vibranium Panther also comes with a new T'challa headsculpt. On the plus side though, that new headsculpt will fit any of the previous MCU Panther figures, and can also fit on the suited Fury body, if you'd prefer to have T'challa in a suit and tie. ![]() Klaue: This one I was excited for, as Klaue was scene stealer in both of his brief MCU appearances, and after not having them for so long, finally getting MCU villain figures is always a good thing. The headsculpt on Klaue is incredible, perhaps the best in the wave, and I really dig the interchangeable arms...especially the little details on the non-laser prosthetic which has little panel grooves cut into it to simulate where it splits. The weapon arm is wicked looking as well, although I wish we could have received an effect piece for it. The handgun fits perfect in the trigger hand, and Klaue himself is on a retooled suit body with a new upper torso, which like Bo showed off earlier, would be great for a stand alone J.Jonah Jameson. The only gripe I have is that the ankles on this figure are a bit tight, I actually have to heat the figure every time I move the ankle joints out of fear of snapping the foot right off the peg. Great figure...and would have been the best in the wave had it not been for Killmonger. ![]() Killmonger: Speaking of which, this is a figure we should have received in that two pack with Agent Ross. It would have at least made that set feel less like a double dip, and had we, I guarantee there wouldn't be so damn many of that two pack warming the shelf at my local targets. Those gripes aside, it's obvious that this is where the money for the wave went, as Killmonger features a great amount of paint and newly sculpted parts, as well as the most accessories out of figures outside the Dora. The leg holster and belt is removable, although a warning, the belt doesn't stay pegged in very well and falls off quite easily. I ended up gluing mine on to keep it there, since I'm not planning on scrapping the figure for anything. The tribal mask fits nicely on the figure (if a bit loosely) and the MBJ headsculpt is fan-friggen-tastic as it was on the two pack release, and it will work thankfully with the older Killmonger figures as well. The golden Jaguar masked head also will work on this current Killmonger as well, if that's a look you want to play with. Most importantly...the head works with this body.... ![]() ...and now...I want a Kate Mara Sue Storm more than anything... |

Btw...good God that's a lot of pouches. That HAS to be intentional. It would also eat 90 percent of Hasbro's wave allowance...so I don't think we'll see her. Although, I will admit, the perv in me would love to see an X-Men figure with those "measurements" be made. |

@Arbor
Lol The first thing I did was remove that vest. You are right, the figure is much better without it. |

I’m actually kinda surprised Marvel has never done an Amadeus Cho figure. |

I don’t think anything currently happening in X Men books is toy worthy. That red/blue Jean Grey is aesthetically terrible. The 70’s/80’s/90’s are a vast well to pull X Men characters from.....that are actually popular and memorable. |

There was the Nemesis Series Nova, I don't even remember how long ago that was, like a decade? I have it, it's not great. I picked up Yon-Rogg and I feel like I won't be satisfied with my space shelf until I have Cosmo the space dog on it. In Legends scale. |

That doesn't work outside of the movie versions. A comic Cosmo would be best paired with Mantis or any other member of the Guardians we haven't gotten yet like Moondragon, Phyla, or Bug.

There was an outfit Jean had for a second in Phoenix Resurrection, a black version of the classic Phoenix outfit, that I'd definitely be down for, but my god her current outfit looks like she's wearing Autobot Gears. |

I actually think Klaue looks much better when you take off the removable vest, he looks too bulky with it and his legs look undersized (he uses the unbuttoned collared shirt torso underneath so it still looks fine haha) I think my favorite of the wave has gotta be T'chaka, the tunic definitely inhibits deep poses but I can get some deep stances out of him with some fiddling.

If only we had standard male forearms that we could swap out onto this body. It's really a perfect template for customs. |
