If only we had standard male forearms that we could swap out onto this body. It's really a perfect template for customs.
Without the vest, the figure becomes instantly unique. On a similar, but slightly tangential note, I think Hasbro may have unintentionally created the solution for the glaring lack of fists on Namor et al. I’ve recently received both Netflix Luke Cage figs and the fists are perfectly sized to scale with the small-large male body-mold. Characters that inexplicably lack fists given their power sets and fighting styles (Namor, Wonder Man, Captain America, Red Guardian, Kraven, *Punisher, Grim Reaper, etc) are now one paint job (and minor tooling) away from getting the final touch needed to make these figs complete. The fists (Cage) are even removable without heat treatment. The tooling needed revolves around the pegs (I assume, I haven’t actually checked…more on that in a bit) and the sculpted thumb nails, which wouldn’t be visible with characters who wear gloves. Additionally, Namor has a slightly olive complexion and it might be tricky to match the paints for skin tone. Now, I’m far too lazy to do this myself (hence the ‘not checking’) and then there’s the principle of the matter which has me of the opinion that Hasbro should have long since created a work around that I could’ve simply purchased via another fig.

- Money, Hasbro??? I’m willing to pay for multiples of whatever fig you throw these ‘Cage fists’ on in my effort to rectify the poor design choices made for the small-large male body (most notably, for Namor and Wondy – I mean…come on, it ain’t rocket science that these two bruisers would be throwing hands more than most other heroes – and those ‘ionic’ fists that came with Wonder Man just DON’T cut it).

...I also meant to mention that now that we have the updated Surfer that I've wanted for years (sans board, that is...Hasbro could have done better than that...texture for both sides of the board would have been nice as we usually see the underside given that Norrin is normally pictured descending from the stratosphere or some such elevated perch) and Surfer's back in the Marvel stable, can we get a Heralds wave????? Please, Hasbro. Like really...pretty please with sugar on top. SDCC boxset. Difficult to find Walgreen's/Walmart/Amazon exclusive. IDGAF.

"Make it so, number one...make it so."

(huh, man...I haven't done a double post in a while...)

I will support a Herald's wave ONLY if it includes Aunt May.

@Triv or anyone else..

i HAD link that showed how to get the arms off of a ML fig (including the shoulder) but can no longer find it. does anyone have it or know of a site or know how to do it?
i was fairly certain it was more than just heating it up and popping them out.

For basic figure disassembly (without cracking a torso): https://youtu.be/SH2xSUuEvmk

Most female Marvel Legends can have their arms and shoulders removed by simply heating them up or using the boil and pop method with hot water. (My preferred method over a hair dryer.)

Most male Marvel Legends figures will need you to crack a torso though at some point.

To remove the disc type upper arms and shoulders (i.e. most figures on a Bucky Cap mold): https://youtu.be/oYVra_cpMms

Another good video about cracking torsos: https://youtu.be/-UTkAXV4DdU

HA! Surfer gave Alicia cosmic abilities when they were hooking up, so I guess he could spare some power for May (make her a Herald). There’s a dirty joke in there somewhere, but I don’t have the energy to find it…

To add to that, if anyone is intersted in the Kree Sentry head, I've got it now as i ordered Grey Gargoyle through Amazon. I'll eventually have whatever parts come with the Skrull as well, but I don't have that yet. Due to shipping cost i'd probably say I'd wait to ship out once I have the part that comes with the Skrull.

So between tim and I that's four of seven parts done...

I'm very much afraid that this will still be the case this year. Three waves are pretty much dropping at once (Captain Marvel, BP wave 2, and the Kingpin wave) right now and I'm worried about how they'll handle the Avengers waves. If it is true that one wave will be MCU only and one comic only I could see stores blowing off the comic wave and over-saturating the movie one. My only consolation is that Amazon has been pretty on the ball about getting Legends in on time so as long as Beta Ray Bill and the remaining Black Order guys aren't too desired (I don't imagine they will be) I should be able to scoop them up online.

The second IW wave was weird. I only ever found it in comic shops and Game Stops, but they were plentiful there, save for Thor, Widow and Black Knight.

I think we need to be discussing how absolutely terrible the Captain Marvel wave is as opposed to the perceived bad distribution. I imagine this wave will be plentiful and unwanted, and that will result in a belief that it was over distributed. It won’t be. It will be that same case sitting there from the very beginning.

I’ve been to two Targets so far and it seemed to be moving fine. Most plentiful character on the pegs was GG, shocking nobody.

the Walmart's near me look like shit and at this point it seems like that will be a thing going forward.
At first i thought it was because it was after the Christmas season..or seasonal changes or whatever...
but now that it's been an entire year and the action figure aisle is NEVER stocked full always looks shitty.
they may get a case of something in a few times a year and that's about it.
there are usually 0 to 5 legends figures there... and it's like ones that have been sitting there for over 6 months.

also there are definitely Legends figures I have NEVER seen at retail.

The only Marvel Legends I never saw at retail were the Abomination wave, and ironically, the Civil War wave Black Panther. I can only speak for myself of course, but I’m digging the mess out of the Captain Marvel wave. Is it the greatest wave ever? Nope, but I’ve seen so many people grabbing this wave, and not having many complaints. And while I passed the bomber jacket Carol to my daughter, I’ve seen others dig it because they can kitbash it. Grand scheme...we’re still the minority when it comes to these figures. We are big fish in an itty bitty pond, while the casual buyers are a whale in a darn teardrop. LOL

As much as I disagree with jmurray and Nash in that I actually do rather like this costume, I have to agree it reminds me a lot of Gears.

Hilariously, while I’ve found Walmarts to generally be horrible at stocking Legends, they seem to beat Target when it comes to carrying the Multiverse figures. It’s been months and I’ve still yet to see a single figure from the Aquaman Multiverse movie wave at any Target, even after the film’s success.

Agreed. I can't help but feel the entire wave got lost in the shuffle. If that's the case, then Hasbro is really stupid for not spacing out the release dates.

As for the Captain Marvel wave,I have mixed feelings about it. As an MCU collector, I love getting 7 movie figures. OTOH, four of them are Carol. I understand Hasbro wants to get as much reuse as possible out of their molds but this is ridiculous. I think the smarter way to maximize profits with this wave would've been to turn the Skrull and the Yon-Rogg character into army builders by including multiple heads. I would've combined the accessories for the standard Ms. Marvel and Binary and eliminated the BAF piece that came with Ms. Marvel. I would've eliminated the jacketed Carol altogether or made it a con exclusive.

lol I can see the resemblance, but it looks more like the 90s costume but in red and blue to me. Is this from the new Uncanny series?

My Walmart yesterday had Cyborg, Batman, blue box Harley Quinn, Spoiler, Carrie Robin, Rick Flag, and CW Hawkman.
