lol I forgot that people are serious about spoilers. It was a joke for anyone not sure. EDIT: full disclosure - I didn't even watch the trailer.

...the funny thing about the world in which we live is that people are sooner to understand and respect dislike for movie/tv spoilers than we are inclined to respect the identity of one another.

Just sayin'...

That trailer was terrible. There definitely at a funeral for somebody, but it doesn't necessarily mean mystique. My biggest gripe about this movie is that they had a chance to "re-do" the dark phoenix story line after that travesty X-men The Last Stand, and yet this looks "different", yet the same unfortunately. I mean who at Fox made the call that angry dark phoenix = lady in red coat doing "bad things" to people. Dark Phoenix in this looks almost exactly the same as the last stand dark phoenix. Ugh. Dammit Fox give it back to Disney Marvel already.

It’s too convoluted at this point.

They did a great job of casting everyone in the Fox universe, but they could never quite do any of the story lines or characters justice, except for Wolverine. Fassbender’s Magneto has been magnificent, McEvoy is great in everything he does in film. They just mucked everything up from the get-go, and tried to bandaid it all together to create some sort of “universe”. Marvel needs to reboot it from the ground up and unfortunately recast everything.

Except for Deadpool, don’t touch what Ryan Reynolds is doing.

Nice use of the Penny Dreadful figure as a stand-in for Mastermind (guess). I bought the entire Penny Dreadful set. Been wondering if any of them can be subbed for Marvel characters.

Did you contact them about getting the store credit back? Amazon customer service is usually pretty lax about issuing credit.

This sale has made me appreciate Walgreens a lot more as a source for figures. Their inventory is such an eclectic mix. I've found Captain Marvel & 2nd wave Black Panther figures alongside stuff that came out years ago.

I'm looking to fill out my Kree ranks as well. There was a blue skinned soldier figure that I saw at a Gamestop last year that looks like a good fit for a Kree warrior. Anybody know the figure or line I'm talking about? I think he's part of a videogame franchise.

I've only ever collected Legends but seeing that spidey and Hulk piqued my interest.

What exactly differentiates all of the other 6 inch scale Marvel figures? Mafex, Mezco, Figuarts, Revoltech, etc.

A lot of people will say quality. For me, it's price. Import stuff is usually 2 to 3 times the cost of standard Marvel Legends. If you're an articulation fanatic, then most of those brands beat out Marvel Legends. Oh and scaling can be a problem if you like to mix and match lines. Mezcos tend to be bigger and bulkier, while SHF are usually on the small side.

I think they got Scott and Jean right in the early X-Men films, they just mucked it all up. Halie Berry was a good Storm. Olivia Munn was a great choice as Psylocke, but I agree that the new incarnation of X-Men is bad. I think that’s more of a result of having to reboot everything and go young after First Class. Disney and Marvel need to start fresh, but it will be hard to do and combine the universes without some time travel/ multiverse shenanigans, which never seems to work out.

Patrick Stewart was built to portray Charles Xavier, Sir Ian McKellen was great as an older Magneto. Both of those guys have tremendous chemistry.

I’m ambivalent towards Jennifer as Mystique, she’s at least better than a random supermodel wearing body paint.

I also forgot about Gambit, I hope that Tatum movie gets scrapped.

I think they got most of the major characters right, especially early on, but the “secondary” characters weren’t well executed the way Marvel has done. I guess saying all of them were great was too strong. I do think they made enough great choices early on to be successful, but they seriously mishandled the storylines and character development forcing a messy reboot. The long range planning wasn’t on the level of the Marvel universe.

cost... lol... size on the imports can be up and down too- I'm usually fine with hasbro but only go import if there isn't an acceptable retail option- (Mezco Batman is the perfect 6in Batman and since nobody made a decent 6in Batman Mez was my choice- as far as size- my Mezco Punisher is the exact same height as my Hasbro Punisher but slightly thinner around the shoulders- I use the Punisher alt heads on Marvel legends figures) Figuarts and Mafex can be all over the place and I recommend watching reviews before buying to check out if you are happy with the scale (My Figuarts Deadshot is perfect- but my Mafex deadshot it super tall) and if an import price seems like you are getting a great deal- it is probably a KO- so watch out for those. sometimes they are fine (I've got a couple that are so close to the real thing I couldn't even tell it was a KO- while others are so bad you would think they belong in a dollar store... lolz)

Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique was trash. I cringed at several points during First Class and DOFP (naked baby Mystique, who made appearances in both and “Mutant and proud” most notably) and it was ridiculous that she was such a central focus. I’m ready for the MCU. I’d love for Mystique, Rogue and Destiny to be introduced as antagonists in the Captain Marvel sequel, instead of being shoehorned into the X Men movies from the jump.

Out of all the design/story changes that came from Marvel NOW, I think the one I was most sorry to see go was Sam Wilson's Captain America... hasbro dropped the ball by not giving him wings but if you poke around the internet it's easy to find lots of custom options out there 9I went with adding wings from the 12in Titan Falcon figure...

So, since we're getting Rock Python this year, what do you all think the odds are of us getting more Serpent Society members? Also, which ones are you hoping to see make it first?

Personally, I'd love to see an Anaconda, Bushmaster, Puff Adder, Death Adder (either version), and Diamondback.

I think Diamondback will happen... really hoping for that whole list- I actually wouldn't have even placed RockPython in the "eventually" pile. lol

True, but he's one of the easier ones to do, since he required minimal new tooling. Most of the ones I want to see are the weirder ones - Anaconda would likely need a whole new mold (her frame is much more stout and thick than the 'bigger, muscular' female body-type), and even Bushmaster would require a whole new lower body sculpt.

The Star Force ladies are pretty cool. I might grab a few more Yon figures if they tank in price.

I had to grab a US Agent after seeing him out of box a few pages back. He set me back a bit, but that’s alright.

...and I received my final piece to finish off Red Hulk. The face sculpting and paint work on this guy are much more impressive than I thought it would be put together. It’s definitely in my top 5 completed BAFs.

Yup, the Commander Zavala figure, specifically. I have one, tempted to see if it works. They're the same height, so nothing would look out of place. It's a really good idea.
I've never tried to remove a McFarlane figure head, but I can't imagine the joint sizes being identical.
