So I can't decide whether or not to keep my Select Colossus or to go with the upcoming 2 pack Colossus that's paired with Juggernaut. The new one is going to be more in scale with Legends, but I kind of like the extra detail and bulk that the Select one brings to the table (even if he's too tall). I'm so conflicted!

Select Colossus is just too tall to keep IMO. I mean it was good enough before, but now that there is a shorter alternative coming... the extra height starts to bother you more. Like I thought Select Colossus wasn't that tall until I compared him to the Cyclops wave Colossus that came out... after that I was like... nah, he's too tall. LOL.

Funny how BBTS has the Professor X and Deadpool packaged together for 84.99 available now and in stock, but yet I pre-order the Professor X alone, and they say it is not in stock, shame on you BBTS!...I have learned my lessons with them now! Will go through pulse or another retailer in the future to avoid this nonsense, you lost a great customer BBTS!

Honestly, I've been wanting a reason to cut down on using BBTS for over a year now, hence why I tried Dorkside last year, so if Pulse can deliver on all of Hasbro's goods, I'll definitely use them. I'll just make BBTS my alternative option once my Prime account expires at Amazon next month for non-Hasbro items or items I can't get at Pulse (like the entire Caliban wave).

I'm not sure if I get all the flack that BBTS gets. The prices might be a little higher in some cases, but I've always had a positive experience with their customer service, and their Pile of Loot option is one of the best shipping options out there. They've even managed to lower their shipping prices over the last year, and everything always gets to me looking like a million bucks. More importantly, they have NEVER cancelled one of my pre-orders because they oversold or couldn't fulfill it...which is something I can't say about Amazon, EE, Sideshow or Dorkside.
I usually use BBTS to pre-order anything that I feel might be difficult to find, or a must have. I'll do it with the understanding that if they take a little longer and I'm able to find the item by my own means (such as I frequently do with Marvel Legends) before they fulfill it, I'll just cancel the order and move on. I just think patience levels that we have as toy collectors is insanely short. We're in such a rush to get the newest thing, only so we can open it up, tinker around with it for a few minutes, and set it on a shelf, detolf, or pack it away in a bin. BBTS does a pretty good job honestly, I think that we as collectors just have to better train ourselves not to lose our **** when we see someone else with the newest thing, especially when we know we're gonna most likely have it in hand in the very near future anyways should all go right. |

Well, Several chat sessions with Amazon later and I have a Prof.X on the way. I contacted them through chat and after not getting resolution and choosing "try again to help" I reached a rep that applied a $30 credit to my account for the price difference between the Canceled Pre-Order and the "Item available from other sellers" rate that was available.

So piggybacking on the conversation we had a week or so ago about the Spider-Man buck, I was going through my Roger Stern Spidey Omnibus and you guys are right about the newer body from Vision/2099/Sunfire/etc using would make for a great classic Spider-Man, especially if they base him off of Romita Jr's artwork.
The body is actually less muscular than I initially thought now looking at the details closely. Quote:

...you do realize that they order a set amount of cases to sell together, and cases to sell individually, right? Even when they restock, that's still the case. If they have a set amount of Professor X/Deadpool sets that they're selling as sets, they're not gonna start breaking them up just to fill orders on stock they don't presently have. It's not how the business works. Because then they'd have a problem from the other end, when people want to order the set but can't, even if both figures are in-stock (technically, they could still order both figures, but not as a set with a discounted price any more).

I just got the Professor and built the Shadow King. I was ok with it in the pictures, but now that I have it in hand, I am a little disappointed. I feel like a regular Farouk head would have been better than the monster face. It almost feels like you HAVE to put some kind of "monster" hands on it to make it work. Overall I am happy that we got a Shadow King of ANY kind, but it did come with that little bit of disappointment.

I like the idea of the Farouk head for SK- but my go-to will still be the awesome Toybiz "accessory" ShadowKing from the AoA line-

It’s also worth mentioning Deadpool is 3 per case to Xavier’s 1 per case...

Yup. If there's anyone to blame for this Professor X fiasco, it's Hasbro, who for some reason felt it necessary to triple pack Deadpool when we already got 5 figures for him in the past year alone, meanwhile we haven't seen Professor X, a staple X-Men character, since 2005. AND he comes with the hoverchair people have wanted for ages. But nope. Only one per case, so good luck finding him!

I really wish I was collecting Legends when Stryfe came out. When I was a kid I was really into him and Cable. Now I have Cable and no Stryfe.
