Seriously though, many people do the same thing and kneejerk reactions to early/grainy photos are common. I stated that I'd be army building Sentries from the reveal, while most people were of the opinion that it was a pass. Lo and behold, I watched people who said they'd pass do a 180 and praise the BAF, with some even army building...go figure - yuk, yuk - chortle, chortle - I be punny. I've read it so often that I don't even pay much attention anymore, I just shake my head as I see people recant their own shit. That said...that wave does look pretty weak to me still. I might pick up the Herc if I like what I see in hand, and maybe Laser, definitely Citizen Zemo...but the rest...ehh, it really depends. Maybe the Cap if I dig the headsculpt (plus Cap is one of my fave characters,) but the Nighthawk, Maw and Ronin more than likely not. There's just not a lot there for me in this one. Quote:

![]() ![]() ![]() All I did was add a splayed hand (from Polaris or Dazzler...I honestly can't remember) a fire effect from MCU Scarlet Witch, the heeled boots from Punker Storm, a set of alternate trigger finger gloved hands from a Vintage Widow, and a set of the DP Katanas, which I felt worked better for Mary, as she typically uses shorter wakazashi styled swords and often as a pair. |

My only issue with Mary is the lack of a gripping left hand and that seems to be a rarity for female figures in general. I don't have a single female figure with a gribbing left hand to give Mary.

I'm one of those people that picked up the Kree Sentry, but I too liked it from the get go. I think it makes a great Sentinel Drone. I'm still hoping we get a custom headsculpt for it soon by one of the customizers out there. I stuck to my guns on the rest of that wave though, ignoring the MCU stuff outside of the new Fury, and grabbing only the comic stuff.

I could care less about an armored Thanos but since I want all the figures in the wave except Cap, it’s an easy one to just go ahead and complete and have it anyways. This wave is pretty much a win for me

I’ll almost surely keep him given how many of the wave I want justifies just getting a whole set. It’s rare that I would dislike a BAF enough to B/S/T it off if I have the whole thing , and I don’t have an MCU Thanos yet.

I've read it so often that I don't even pay much attention anymore, I just shake my head as I see people recant their own shit. I used to purposely take engaging photos of figs people claimed were "trash" (Machine Man, Polaris, etc) mostly for kicks, but also to see people betray their own words. We live in a 'rush to judgement' world despite the consistent lessons offered by a 'wait and see' attitude...but whatevs, there are far more important inconsistencies and hypocrisies now adays. Collect, or don't collect, it's your prerogative. I don't collect things because others do and tastes outside of my own have zero bearing on what I buy... I loved the Kree sentry from the start too, I'd love to army build it if BAF parts didn't cost like 20usd each just in shipping to Australia. Captain Marvel has had the second biggest global opening of any superhero film, and the 6th biggest global opening of any film.

I agree. I don't think it is necessarily a bad wave, it's just not great for me. I don't know any of the comic characters that well (or at all) and I'm not a big MCU collector and I don't like MCU Hawkeye much. The armoured Thanos looks quite nice as far as you can tell from the grainy photo.

Honestly, I'm happy the Sentry BAF is a bit of a 'preferred taste' because that means I can achieve what I want at minimal expense. Their loss, my/our gain... ![]() As far as the hate on Captain Marvel goes...again, their loss my/our gain... ![]() ...and I'm not even a big Marvel movie guy. |

I couldn't find the Target exclusive Starforce Carol in person so I decided to order it online, but now they won't even ship it to my house?

Before seeing the film I really liked the blacks and greys of the Starforce suits, but after seeing the film my love for the color scheme changed entirely because of how the Kree are depicted.
I like the Binary Walmart exclusive, but it feels very underdone since the film shows plasma flowing all over Binary's body, yet that figure only has it on the forearms and hands and just a little on the head. They need to create a full-plasma Binary. Also a Binary without a beam effect coming from the hands is like Cyclops without optic blasts, it's like half of the figure is missing. I wish someone would come up with a nice hand beam/blast effect like Can of Beams did with his Cyclops optic blast or like Hasbro is doing with the upcoming Classic X-Men Cyclops. Just sticking the Human Torch fireballs on the ends of her hands doesn't work, they never show her charging her plasma in a ball like those fireballs imply, it just shoots straight out of her hands rapidly. The swirly plasma bits are effective though, they just needed more of them all over the body, not just two for the arms. Last edited by Enigmatic; 03-11-2019 at 04:00 AM.. |

I suppose she does just have her Binary powers isolated to her hands like the figure shows throughout most of the film while she's wearing that Kree device on her neck that inhibits her power. So it's like the figure is the inhibited Binary, and now we need a full Binary figure that we haven't seen. And those other three figures with no plasma powers depicted at all seem extraneous, or at least two of them do. They're like the Johnny Storm with no flame effects we never got, except this time we got three of them.
