Has anyone here attempted a hand swap on the Rocket Raccoon BAF Wave Jim Lee Jean Grey? The hips are pretty bad, but the only part of the figure I truly hate are the gigantic man hands. I was going to switch them with Disco Dazzler/Rogue’s extra hand so she can have two open hands but I don’t know what the peg looks like or if they are compatible. I’m going to buy a Jean on EBay in the next couple days.

So with the first Avengers wave revealed and assuming the second wave follows the first's layout, I guess we are left to ponder the remaining figures. Quantum Suit versions of Thor, Rocket, & Hulk would make sense.

Probably fine. All three bodies are the exact same.

In my experience, the Coulson body had a slightly smaller next peg. That could make a slight difference. But it the figure is just in a sitting position, it probably wouldn't be a big deal.

Rocket needs a bigger! If only that suit were black and red.

Why you teasing us like that...Lol! All the Suits look great with Charles' head on them...I am wondering also, if the head fits firmly on each suit...

Yep, it's pretty easy. I just used a hair dryer and popped it off in about 30 seconds. It isn't even glued on the the Kingpin head. If you put it at an angle it just sits pretty well on there. I think once I get the mustache on this weekend, it will be a pretty good Farouk. I was really not into the clown look.

That's interesting since the Coulson neck peg is smaller than the Chameleon/Ross peg.

Just got Professor X and damn I love this thing. Might be an early pick for one of my favorite figures of the year.
![]() We're so damn close to having a completed 90s roster that I can taste it. We're just a Jim Lee Storm and a classic Iceman away from completion. I also really want an updated Jean Grey because the Rocket Raccoon one is a pain in the ass to work with. The body itself isn't terrible, but she's so top heavy compared to her spindly legs that she can barely stand. And those hips are absolutely awful. |

I don’t think you’ll have to worry about waiting too long, Symbi. I foresee every mainstream X-team being fleshed out and the X-men pretty much taking over most (if not all) of the slots for canon figs (including the Vintage line). If their maintaining value on sites like BBTS is any indication, the X-men figs, even old waves, are still highly sought after. It’s only a matter of time, in my opinion, before Hasbro starts getting down to brass tacks and skewing towards its money-makers. MCU – Spidey (which depending on wave construction, may also fall off) – and of course the uber-successful X-men will represent more and more slots in yearly line-ups. I’m sure X-men fans will have no problem with that, the rest of us will have to make due and take what they give us.

Gold Team is likely their priority now and that's half done as is. We already see them working on X-Factor, New Mutants/ OGX-Force characters already (if not always in their correct outfits.) Excalibur and more modern X-Force is likely the next tier and then you'd have the "other" - the villains, Generation X, and various other characters. Villains you know they'll do, Generation X I can see them maybe getting 3-4 character AT MOST done. we'll be lucky to just get Monet, and Chamber and likely even then probably not in their Gen X outfits (I didn't include Jubilee since we have two versions of her already, a third in Generation X outfit is unlikely.) I guess it all depends on how long the line goes and how much of the MCU X-Men will take over from the comic side. If we're talking another 3-5 years we'll likely not get any of the teams besides Blue/Gold *mostly* completed. If it goes another 10 years it's more likely. |

Wow, Apocalypse looks so menacing even just standing there straight with his head tilted down.

I agree, we're going to get the rest of the Gold team soon. An updated Jim Lee Jean may or may not happen but I think probably will, and Jim Lee Storm and Iceman (Or classic Iceman since it's probably close enough for most) will be coming. I think they wanted to get the blue team done first because that was the more popular roster, only Jean and Storm were the big names in the gold team. I get the entire Gold/Blue is all big names, but comparatively - thinking in terms of comic history, TAS, and the movies. Psylocke was the only team member on the Blue Team that wasn't present much in other mediums, and she was quite popular in the 90's.

I’m all in for Gen X’s Chamber, Monet and Jubilee. I’d happily nab any representatives of the New X-men. I’d also like to see Morrison’s New X-men (not to be confused with the aforementioned ‘newer’ New X-men) represented in a Vintage wave; Toy Biz Legends started to deliver on a few of those outfits before losing the license. I would do backflips were Hasbro to provide a core group of Exiles to go along with Blink and I suspect that eventuality is completely likely. And we’re only a Sage, Rachel, and bald Bishop away from a New Age X-men – one of my favorite low-key squads. All this from a semi-X-fan… |
