The new Hulk is definitely way bigger (BAF size big) and they have totally different body sculpts. Ben is actually sculpted in his rocky form, it's not just an overlay piece or paint effect, whereas Hulk is a seemingly all new sculpt of the muscular variety. The articulation isn't even the same. Ben is mostly just swivel-hinge joints but Hulk will have butterfly shoulders and bicep swivel.

The Hulkbuster set from last year retailed for $70 and the Hulk in that one was originally sold as an individual figure.
The upward trend that Hasbro seems to want to go down really irritates me. I do know that if legends eventually become $25 on average that I will finally say goodbye. I've been collecting legends since Toybiz started them and we've seen hasbro kill the line once already. Hopefully they don't do it again.

Someone on reddit used modern Cable as a body instead of Nuke for the extra Skullbuster head. Now I can't help but want to do that even though I have no love for the Nuke heads.

Thankfully so far they've only made the special non-standard line figures (Stud10 series and 80th ann.) that higher price and have not indicated a price jump in the standard line in the foreseeable future. I don't think I'd abandon ship entirely at $25 a figure but I'd definitely cut back on getting any figures not already on my want-list.

Took forever (because of a bad Ebay seller not shipping) but I finally have a Deathstrike to lead my Reavers. I always hated this Toybiz figure but having her in hand she wasn't too bad (Toybiz' crazy jointed women sort of works for her) but like a lot of others- it was really the small head that threw it off... so like Storm and Luke Cage, i just did a quick head swap (the old toybiz hat piece comes off surprisingly easy) Now- it's Mutant hunting time!

I'm... shocked that the Reese head works so well on the Gabriel Reyes body.

Also, what head did you swap in for Deathstrike? I've been on the fence for her, but I have a guy locally who often ends up with some loose for cheap, and it could be worth it if I got a good head for her.

Thanks guys! She's easy to find cheap- i paid about $12 for her but have seen her under $10. The head i used was the Hasbro Madame Hydra head (i really hate that head- but i had already cut the top of it off for something that didn't work out- and it worked surprisingly well as Yuriko so... ) The Overwatch neck peg took a bit of modding to hold the Reese (Cole? Macon?) head- just a bit of greenstuff to mold a neck peg. Im still holding out hope for a good Reavers body to show up at SDCC but this works fine as a place holder.

Wow, Bo! Those look great! I have a small custom Bonebreaker and I'm working on a pretty boy. But knowing that I can find a Lady D for cheap is good. I want to work on a new version of her. I have the old Toy Biz one, but like you, I'm not a big fan. That head swap you did looks so much better!

So I decided randomly to stop in a Target last Friday and when I looked through everything I couldn't believe the Far From home two pack was already out! I decided to go ahead and get it since the QR suits were such a pain to get. I checked the price before I headed to checkout and showed up as $39.99, that what I figured it would be, but you never know when new stuff hits. I go to Uscan and ring it up last out of my cart and the machine gives me a big pop up that says can't sell the last item...

The person working those checkouts comes over scans their badge and tries to ring it up again and hands it back to me. When she scans it, the screen pops up that it can't be sold until 5/31. As we are reading the screen together the toy still in hand her manager walks up snatches the two pack from my hands and just keeps walking... Didn't even make eye contact. The employee realized how rude it was and was fumbling to explain that there was no way they can sell it until that date.

I mean I understand street dates and wouldn't expect them to sell it to me if that was the case in their system, but the manager snatching it from me and just kept walking really irked me! I told the cashier that they had three more sitting on their shelf in the toys and paid for my other stuff.

Then on Sunday me and my toy hunting friend hit two different targets and both of them had the FFH two packs on their shelves...it was like it was taunting me all weekend. If that pack ends up being hard to find I will not be a happy camper.

So I think that the street date must have not been plastered all over the box, because it was weird to see three different stores all make the same mistake.

Just in case I tried to purchase at the first target we went to on Sunday and was again told it could not be sold until 5/31. I didn't try at the third one because I had already accepted defeat..

Man the kicker was the manager walked over to the customer service desk and placed the two pack the closest spot to the exit as she could have. I'm not one to steal, but I felt like they were tempting me with it. I truly hope someone did steal it just because of her rudeness and ineptitude of putting it right by the exit door.

I wonder what other heads would work well as far as the neck joint - Viper's not easy to come by for me, and I'd much rather have an asian face-sculpt (Psylocke or Silk, for instance)

Call corporate on the manager and maybe manager will be nicer to the shoppers. Ppl like that shouldn't work for retail or in customer service position

I'll be picking them up, but that Beta Ray and Loki...NO BUENO. They look disappointed with themselves, or at least disappointed with their sculptors. I guess we'll be getting another Beta Ray at some point...

It looks decent. I have an extra Cable at home. I might try that headswap to see how it looks.

I actually like the Loki and Bill, but I would have preferred some sculpted detail on Loki. As for Bill, the new look is ok, but not my favorite. I'm wondering if his arms and head will work with that 80th anniversary Thor that is coming out. That might make a decent custom.
