ha! I know they don't answer questions about plans for specific figures, but at this point someone needs to do what they did a few years back with Polaris, Rogue and Enchantress, and ask them what the hell the deal is. Even if they don't get any real answer.

I'd love it and hey, within two years of asking about Rogue, Enchantress and Polaris, guess what.....we got a Rogue, Enchantress and Polaris. Can't argue with the results.

...why? The first one is perfect, and there are literally hundreds of larger and more relevant characters they need to get to... also Foom rumens tend to not come through, I’m still waiting for my MU orange Foom, with pants for some reason.

“Yes, another Cap with pockets!!!!!”... said no one.

Strange choice on Iron Patriot too, Hasbro never misses an opportunity for a quick repaint/money-grab.

This is a rare case where I cut Hasbro some slack because it's clear the Iron Patriot change was very last minute. All the companies making War Machine merch got the design wrong, and even the early trailers had the black and silver color scheme.

Rumor is he might be in the Shang-Chi movie, so perhaps they wanna strike while the metaphorical iron is hot.

Yea if they were gonna rerelease/repaint a MCU character id rather it have been Endgame Black widow. Just slight Reworking of Infinity war body with the two pack head. Since she’s so much harder/expensive to get then the War machine that just came out like a month ago. Iron Patriot is the only one from the wave I’m probably gonna skip.

I have the opportunity to get one, but if there’s going to be a rerelease I’ll hold off.

Awesome! I hadn’t heard that.

My feelings as of late regarding hasbro are mixed... on one hand I’m loving all the Jim lee x men getting released, ( which I think proves the old theory disarvel was boycotting them till they got the rights) but I’m sure in a year or 2 we’ll get slight retool/ paint to give us 90’s cartoon accurate versions and rebuy them all again. The improvements are great and he line is amazing, but hasbros constant model of releasing costumes in order of most to least obscure is getting ridiculous. I feel like in the last 5 or so years I’ve gotten rid of more avengers rosters than I can count. And I can’t even tell how many figures I’ve bought just for the BAF part. With the industry constantly raising prices and complaining about the price of plastic I’d like to see them do a buy back program, for instance turn in 2 pls caps or iron mans get 50% off the 80th anniversary one...

I knew that Hasbro was gonna re-release that Walmart Avengers Cap using the head from the QR suit figure. Certainly glad I don't have to bother picking that one up, because I've already got it. It's pretty much a straight re-release with no notable improvement to the articulation...

That Iron Patriot is UGLY. I hate the bright colored plastics they're using.

Only figure I'm looking forward to out of that wave is Valkerie. I passed on the original Ragnarok version since I wasn't too impressed with that figure. The one in the new outfit should complete my MCU collection for now...as I'm mostly done with them overall...

No thanks...after that fiasco of people being billed multiple times and never received their Loki/CG sets...I'm not trusting Walmart with anything. I'd rather feed a scalper if it comes to that.

I'm telling you...someone better call out this nonsense with Walmart exclusives and grill Hasbro on it during the Hasbro panels or I'm going to personally lose my shit.

What. Is. That.

With all the double-dipping and straight kitbash and re-paints, I'm saving a lot. For Mezco.

Seriously, that wave. I think only Valkyrie for me. Would have got Heimdall too, but he looks more like Bishop than a Viking God. If it at least had the armor...

And I feel all the MCU figures craze will die down years down the line. The classic comic figures won't. As most characters get reset to their more iconic looks. (See the new Cap/Thor/Iron Man/Colossus etc).
Will someone care about Thor in pj's in ten years? Methinks not.

By more than a little....

You are entitled to feel however you want, but the DSM-5 has a different opinion on hoarding disorder. Also see defense mechanisms - rationalization and intellectualization.

But in all seriousness, I did say my sentiment would not be appreciated by many and the reasoning as to why has to do (IMO) with the decades of inculcation and programming that we've all experienced.

I've been visiting the website regularly for a little over a year now but just don't take time comment often.
I hear you, but given the skeleton crew here, coverage of large events like SDCC are a real challenge. Taking a moment to report on one figure and the nuanced details behind its creation may not be very feasible when you have an entire show to cover. I'm sure Jean will be discussed in some panel.

I see now that you've been here a year or so...well, welcome to the commenting crew! Lurkers, former lurkers, and routine commentators are all welcome within this band of misfits!

Haha! Yeah, the hypocrisy in that is pretty blatant. There have been some famous completionists here, but everyone has a lane and I try not to begrudge people their minor peccadilloes.

Sooo, who's buying the Suits 2pack??? I hate that bum Deadpool and Hit Monkey is such a lame idea, but I gotta have it...cuz I buys everything!!!

Because the last Fin Fang Foom goes for ridiculous prices on the aftermarket. Even the bootleg will set you back about $150

If and when that happens the line will likely just end up on hiatus again like it was in the early Hasbro era.

All good things, and whatnot.
