Found these guys at Target today. They're pretty great but Iron Man has some mis-assembled pieces. First off, both shins were on backwards but it was an easy fix since I only had to swivel the feet around and then turn the entire boot around.
The second issue is that the biceps are on the wrong arm. I've looked at some pics over on the Fwoosh and it seems to be on all Iron Man figures. The biceps were stamped wrong but the rest of the arm is on the correct side. I swapped out the biceps and switch the lower arms back around so that everything was on the correct arm. And I some how managed to split the torso around the neck while moving the shoulder joint. I'll see about gluing it back together later tonight. I'd exchange the figure but the Target I went to is out of my way and this now feels personal. On the plus side, Thor is perfect. ![]() |

Hey everyone I’ve been following this thread for a while now and I finally decided to join the forum. Anyways I picked up the new 80th Anniversary Captain America at Walmart yesterday. Apart from the sloppy paint applications on the eyes, this figure is perfect. Luckily I ordered another one.

Being that I never saw and have still yet to see Power & Glory (AKA Worthy Cap) in the wild...and my refusal to trust Walmart's shoddy online service after the Loki/CG debacle, I have little faith that I'll ever run into that one without feeding a scalper. On the other hand, this just arrived courtesy of Amazon (a company that actually knows how to properly distribute exclusives) and while I don't typically get excited for MCU stuff anymore, this one has been HIGH on my list of wants for a while. First impressions are pretty good, I'll be sure to follow up with more thoughts when I have the time. |

Yea, so I got my retro Cyclopes, paint apps rough on goggles around the visor, blue paint bed down into the white X.
Here is where normally I never butch about Hasbro giving us more product but DAMMIT slow down and make sure quality is good if your gonna pump out wave after wave. What’s the point of having the item if it’s shoddy work, just like some of the other 80th stuff I been hearing about. |

As a fellow newbie, welcome aboard, ActionMan15! Congratulations on your 80th anniversary Captain America find!
@Marine73: I'm sorry to hear about your Cyclops' sloppy paint job. I'm disappointed that the new retro/vintage Cyclops has so many paint problems, and from what I've read, 80th anniversary Iron Man has its own share of problems too. Since my local stores don't carry much new Marvel Legends products, aside from a few Endgame figures, Sub-Mariner, Sunfire and the 70s suit Dazzler, I can't say for certain what my local shops' paint mishaps, if any, are for recent figures. Considering the rush to get these figures out, I'm hopeful that Hasbro fixes that problem in the future. I hope that doesn't mean they will in fact lose the Marvel license next year, as fans and collectors have really enjoyed the new products, especially over the past two years. Then again, I wouldn't put it past Mattel to try to win the Marvel toy rights and outbid Hasbro after they lost the DC toy rights. @Bo Ttef: Nice find with the Captain America and Peggy two-pack! Congratulations on your purchase! To be honest, in my opinion, I'm disappointed by the Cap, though. He looks way too tiny, especially compared to the prototype round shield. It looks much too large for the figure and overall. And I'm disappointed Peggy's skirt limits her leg movements, as I've read on message boards. After reading the poseability problems for Peggy's legs, I hope Hasbro's upcoming Pink Ranger's skirt won't have that problem for collectors and fans. Thanks for your attention and I hope you all are having a great night. |

I’m already seeing steep Amazon discounts and on the Hulk BAF Endgame wave. I haven’t even seen this one at retail yet. Hasbro’s distribution is hard to follow.

Ah @ War Machine
That Penance was great. I also love the Gen X Penance. Need both. About Dan Ketch, I don't have the Toybiz version, but I'm thinking of getting it. I just live all the bike heroes, they look great together. Can't wait for Cosmic GR and Squirrel girl. So weird, so good. BTW, did you get to London Film and Comic Con. They had all the multi packs etc. It ruined me for the month, but it was nice to get them all at once. I'm sure InDemandToys have got them in stock. |

![]() Got my Loki/Corvus Glaive 2 pack yesterday. I'm glad to have it but I'm slightly annoyed I paid full retail. Quote:

I caved late last week and made my very first ebay purchase in a good 15 years. in hand/in package Emma Frost - supposed to arrive tomorrow. First thing I'm gonna do is see if the calm Hela head from the two pack will fit on her body. If it does: BAM!. 99% good enough Selene, with absolutely no work. if it doesn't fit as is, I'll find a way to make it fit. The likeness is too close to not do it.

I always tell people that if you collect action figures, make the investment in a good dremel tool, even if you aren't into customizing. It's one of the best purchases you can make. You will never have to worry about what head will fit and what doesn't ever again. Of course, there will be times where you will have to make a decision to permanently alter something, but more often than not, you'll be able to create something that works with multiple options if you're not afraid to do a tiny bit of paced work.

I'd also add a hair dryer and a metal dental pick/scrapper to the list of essential items for toy collectors. Stuck joints and bent pieces (limbs, claws, bat ears, etc.) are common enough that everyone will need to fix them at some point. With a hair dryer, you can begin heating the plastic immediately and will often times have things fixed within 30 seconds to a minute. When a stuck joint is being difficult, I'll use a dental pick to slide into the joint in order to get the pieces to let go of each other. It's also really helpful when I have a peg or ball joint that doesn't want to pop loose. I can slip the dental pick into the socket so that I can get more leverage on the peg or ball joint.
In other news, CNBC posted an article saying that Hasbro's profits are up thanks to Avengers Endgame and that they are set to make millions in Phase 4. The article goes on to mention that Hasbro's deal with Disney expires at the end of 2020 but Hasbro has stated that they have every intention of renewing the deal. If you want to read the article, go here: https://www.cnbc.com/2019/07/23/hasb...e-4-slate.html |
