More or less. At least it saves money on comics - outside of some minis by particular writers, I've abandoned X-Men until it stops being so "90s-era masturbation" and goes back to actually writing good stories and not derailing every single character (or outright killing them) if they get in the way of nostalgia.

And yes, I know my love of the 90s team is well-documented, but that doesn't mean I want to read about the exact same dozen characters going through the same story beats for the rest of forever. Freshen it up, Marvel!

(To say nothing of the 90s-era characters in toy form, because that's an entirely different bag of cats that doesn't apply)

The bold part is why I'm so far not impressed with House of X. The idea of a mutant homeland has been done at least three times. Hopefully Hickman has a major curve ball planned.

Magneto wakes up in bed, rubs his Forehead and says “woah....what a nightmare.”

Eh. I'm just so tired, I don't care to know. Call me when they decide that the Academy X kids are worth writing about again, because a story about kids who went through numerous incidents of severe trauma and are trying to cope with that while still being heroes interests me more than any version of the Cyclops and Wolverine Show Featuring Special Guest Stars.

He buys two and puts the armrest up.

By force, if necessary.

Today's Haul: Ugh, disappointed in my two-pack. The face painting application on my Peggy is off by the slightest and gives her a really odd look. Luckily, I wanted another of this set for possible customs so not a complete loss. Picked-up the other figures on my current BAF-building kick. Had quite a few BAf pieces sitting around and I just up and decided that I kinda want to finish them.

Picked up Skurge and Hela. Didn't get to take pics yet but it's an awesome 2-pack, even if you got the previous Hela.

^ Al Ewing's one of those writers that's been knocking it out of the park IMO.

First Avenger Cap vs Riders Ultimate Cap comparison.

Both figures use most of the same parts with the exception of the torso, head, helmet, and shield straps/clip. The paint work really makes these two figures feel different since some of the details on the sculpt don't really stand out on the Ultimate version. My only complaint is how the shields connect to the figures. The clip used on Ultimate Cap's shield isn't big enough to really fit around the wrist and there are stress marks from trying to clip it on. I'll see if I can remove the stress marks and make it fit the wrist by heating the clip. However, I do like the fact that I can have the shield hanging from Ultimate Caps back, something the First Avenger version can not do since his shield has the plastic straps. Also, the unmasked MCU heads do fit on the Ultimate Cap's body.

I really wish the First Avenger version could do this.

I think I've addressed every PM so far. NOTHING has been sold yet, so it's all still available but I'm going in order of PMs. First person to pay will get what they are after. I'm not holding anything and would like all deals finalized by Sat so I can get these in the mail.

Figs that have been asked about:
Diamond Emma
White Storm
Beast
Blade
Spiral
Venom (both) & Carnage
Xorn
Prof X
Apocalypse
Danny Ketch GR

Let me be explicitly clear in that I have NOT priced these and am not all that eager to do so, but since no one has made an offer, I will look into what these sell for and put prices to what's been asked about.

I WILL take MU figures in trade for these, but I only have a use for specific body types, so if you have MU figs to get rid of (especially MU females), we can go that route first (assuming you have something I can use to customize). Up to you...

And again, I do have the accessories for the figures! Since Spiral has been asked about the most, I do have her helmet and ALL of the swords.

I'll add prices later... *muttergrumblebitch*

Oh yeah, I do have the figure accessories (no sentinel bases though), I just wasn't pulling them out and dumping them on the floor.

Really good write up. Thank you for posting this.

I'll probably be altering the shield for the Ultimate Cap with magnets like I did with the Hydra Cap.

I have no idea why Hasbro still goes with that crappy clip system for the comic figures, instead of sculpting the straps on like they do with all the MCU shields. They stress and break easy, and look terrible. I'd rather they go elastic straps (like the old Toybiz shields) as opposed to the clip system they have now.

I have seen from Youtube reviews that the MCU Cap head from the Age of Ultron Cap fits on the Ultimate Cap...and looks decent in doing so. That might be a good substitute. It always looked less Chris Evans and more generic cartoon/comic anyways.

I still can't find the Worthy Cap, Binary Marvel or Rescue in the wild, and ebay prices for all 3 are crazy! I hope things calm down for these at some point.

So I got my eBay ordered black queen Emma. Helas more calmer haired head fits PERFECTLY. I did not however take into account the difference in skin tone, but If I try to paint it’ll look worse than as is. Unless we get an actual Selene figure I’m gonna say this is the best bet for shitty customizers like me.

Nice shot, I'm so glad Gamestop didn't add on to this one's price like they usually do.

I feel like the toy-collecting version of Tyrone Biggums waiting for Dorkside to get the 80th anniversary stuff in so I can have my Juggernaut set already. I don't usually pre-order Hasbro stuff so I'm not used to this abundance of other people finding stuff in stores while I wait.

That's a pretty good idea. Mezco put a magnet on one side of their Cap's shield and then had two separate magnets in his left glove and the star on his back so the shield could be carried either way. I'd like to do that to mine but I often have my tablet or phone near my figures and magnets typically don't do well with electronics.

To be honest though, I still prefer the clips over the plastic straps. It seems like most of the MCU shields don't fit on the arm of the Captain America they come with. For example, the straps on the Endgame Cap's shield are too far apart, making it difficult to bend his arms and hold the shield. And the strap that his hand should hold is almost too small to fit his hand through. I had to heat it up so that his fist would go under the strap.

Back when I was collecting the 3.75" Marvel Universe figures, I used to put elastic straps on all of my Captain America shields since the clips were so soft. I would cut up the scabbards from the Wolverine movie Deadpool figures into little squares and then glue four of them to the back of the shield so that I could loop the elastic through them.

I prefer straps to clips- but since they don't all fit on whoever I want to carry the shield I tend to just break/cut the back strip on one end so it can go around anyone's arm and they just hold the front strap in hand-
