Back to legends, I read that Elizabeth Hurley is going to play Morgan Le Fay in Runaways Season 3. I'm imagining the outfit will be a bit less risque than what Le Fay has worn in the comics. I'm crossing my fingers that maybe we can get a Le Fay out of this.

Id just be happy that the ageless liz hurley would get a figure period!

So looks like almost everything has finally hit at Walmart. Found the three 80th single releases, the entire Wendigo BAF wave, and the Retro X-Men wave. Picked up the three 80th Avengers, Sinister, and Storm. Passed on the rest as I already have those shipped and on the way. Sigh, now I just need to track down that flippin' Hulk/Wolverine set...

Storm arrived from Amazon today, good thing I'm not a MOC collector because she was just shoved into a padded envelope. Overall Storm looks great but there are some notable problems with mine at least. The paint is well applied almost everywhere and I really like how the suit is sort of pearlescent instead of just matte white. Her hair is the one spot where the paint feels like a letdown although I'm not sure if my beef is with the overdone wash or the weaker sculpt compared to recent hair pieces. She has a solid range of articulation but mine suffers from gummy joints at her knees and ankles which makes getting her to stand for more than two minutes a pain in the ass. It's a good thing I always planned on using a flight stand otherwise I'd be way more sour about the standing issue. Each of her index fingers was also warped by the packaging. Her cape, for lack of a better word, is kinda weak. It feels like it's sturdy enough to last unless directly damaged but it's pretty stiff to work with. When all's said and done I'm happy to have this Storm but I feel like she falls short of excellence.

Last one on the shelf too, and I canceled my preorder when I grabbed this one because I thought I was set. I've been seeing a ton of QC issues with the recent waves both in hand and online, and I'm really not happy with the way Hasbro is rushing these out.

I ordered the Hela/Skurge set at Walmart Online to pick up. When I got it home I saw that the box had a bit of the cover torn off, it had already been opened and one of the Hela heads was missing! Geez some of these people are the worst!

Has anyone attempted to repaint Cap's bike to bring out some of that detail?

So I did a thing:



Still needs a little work. The whites don't match up too well so I'm probably gonna have to repaint the lower body with a white closer to the upper body. Then I'll also have to do the purple stripe down his leg. The boots still aren't fully connected so I'll have to fix that and then repaint them to match the gloves better. The upper body also sorta just sits in lower body and doesn't stay in place on its own, so I can probably just fix that with some putty.

I also want to fix his arms not being able to go all the way down. I don't know why Hasbro does this, but there's a shelf where the joint is that prevents his arms from going down.

But overall, this option is making me enjoy this figure a lot more. I'll probably still display him with the effect part, but I like having the option to display him vanilla with the other X-Force members. Now I just wish he had a neutral face...

I’m thinking I might have to do this myself. Why couldn’t they have released him as a deluxe figure like Archangel, with the legs and the effect pieces (as well as a more neutral head)?

I can only assume Hasbro thought Cannonball might not fare well as a deluxe figure with no BAF pieces attached to him. But you're right, that would have been the best way to release him. I would have much rather paid $30-35 for a Cannonball with a swappable lower body and a neutral head sculpt than to have done all of this myself. But at least I have this as an option now once I complete it. As a newbie customizer, this wasn't actually all that difficult to do.
