Marvel Legends Infinite Series Warriors of the Web Figure | Action Figures for ages 4+ | Hasbro so due to speculation "Warriors of web" [plural] means there are swaps , but in same case ? The only thing i hate about this wave 2 for spider-man is the BAF, I wish they went for something better like a Huge venom or something Last edited by warmachine6; 01-13-2015 at 07:11 AM.. |

I originally thought the legends would hit this week then I revised to end of January...but my Mattel figures were delayed 3 weeks due to the port strike...so I wonder if this will delay the legends to the middle to late February.
Target already cleared for restocks...but I have heard nothing in their/TRU systems as of yet. We did not have any new legends releases in about 6 months, GOTG...I cannot really recall the last time we had such a gap between old an new legends. |

Just want to take a minute to thank Advocate Pinoy and Blue Marvel for posting up their amazing pics and breaking up the monotony of all the wants/wishlists/shopping posts. Nothing wrong with all that, but sometimes I think it'd be nice if all the "shopping" stuff was separated from the appreciation and discussion of figures people actually own or have in hand.

I'm with you, love the figures the BAF, not so much. Maybe that will change once I get it into my hands. So happy about a new Red DD.

I am actually happy with the New Hobgoblin, as he is a new character and figure. It is kind of sad that he is not even in the books now, (Doc Ock publicly revealed his identity to the world in Superior Spiderman) Now he has been taken by Norman Osborn and turned into The Goblin Knight. Part of the Goblin Army. Now if I could just get a Macendale version of the Hobgoblin (from the Blood Brothers storyline where he was black and orange) I would have almost all versions of the Hobgoblin. The Classic- Roderick Kingsley, The Demonic Hobgoblin- Masendale fused with a demon (Which after being split from Macedale would become Demogoblin) and now Urich Hobgoblin. I use the Select versions of Venom and Antivenom on my shelf to be the bigger versions. I would not mind a new BAF of Kingpin or a Spider Slayer

I'm happy with Hobgoblin's inclusion in this wave. He's a new character and he looks like he'll be a fun figure. And personally, I really don't want some massive Venom BAF. I rather have a first/early appearance Venom when he was smaller and had WAY less jaw and tongue.

I think people, including me the new Goblin could have been a regular figure.
BAF should be saved for something special...I think we miss the days of real BAF's...It's still a bit of a letdown. So many OTHER characters deserve BAF's, not the new GOblin. |

However, this is a Spidey specific line and the character doesn't have many "large" rogues in his gallery (not that haven't already been done; i.e. Rhino, Blackheart, Kingpin, Venom, and so on.). I've read some mentions of Spider Slayer. I suppose they could do a Professor Power, but he's not that much larger than a regular person. Once, Silvermane wore an exo-suit that made him roughly 8' tall. Maybe they could make a "comic" BAF Sandman in one of his more towering forms, or possibly that hulking monstrosity he and Hydro-man combined to form at one point....but all of my suggestions are pretty obscure and lack brand recognition, which unfortunately factors heavily into whether or not something gets made. While I'm not chomping at the bit to get Hobgoblin, he's appropriate for this line and both casual fans and hardcore heads recognize him. I think it's safe to say that the days of the 10-12" Baf are over (sad, I know...especially considering I was hoping one day we'd get a Stranger fig). On the bright side, we are still getting larger figs in drips and drabs. I love my Blastaar, Terrax (even if he's too big), Iron Monger, Mandroid, and Hulk (ruffalo/movie). Then of course there is the Thanos that many of us are looking forward to....and I'm still holding out hope for a Baf Lockjaw. Edit: or just a Lockjaw period, be it Baf or not..... I would like to see a SDCC set for the Inhumans. Karnak, Gorgon, Crystal, Triton and Lockjaw. (Maybe even Maximus the Mad instead of Crystal) With Black Bolt and Medusa already made , we need the rest of them.

I can understand some of your disappointment, Vash. I'm also a big fan of Toy Biz's run on Marvel Legends; both the carded figs and the wonderful Baf's they made. I also like many of Hasbro's offerings despite the loss of some articulation(toe, finger, and ab-crunch specifically for female figs) and a bit of buck-abuse(I would like more variety in sculpts/detail - MORE "new" bucks should be rolled out to give the Aim Scientist-Soldier/Starlord some company).

I teach kids and i tell them it's better to say something than regret never saying it. Obviously there are times when it's kb your best interest to stay quiet. But essentially we must complain. To many products die because of lack of knowledge or care especially when there is no competition. I lived Breyers Ice cream but 5 years ago they changed their ingredients and added cheap filler that they claimed improved the product. In reality it destroyed the best big brand available. Long story short, complain and bad mouth it much as possible was the right thing to do. Not enough did and its now just trash like every other big corporate owned brand. If we as consumers truly care we will demand better from them. They can shove that Jubilee baf you know where. Give me My real Baf. |

Started making a Spider Punk (Punk Rock Spider-Man) from Spider Verse. I just need to add the spikes on his head for the Mohawk look.

You're right that people should speak up if they're upset about something or just requesting something older be brought back. The problem is like you said not enough will bother to do it. Then there's always the probability Hasbro (in this case) would say something along the lines of "We appreciate your feedback on our products, but the costs to do what you're asking for are too high so we don't care." Unless you could convince Hasbro you'd boycott them entirely until they fix it, but I don't imagine the threatened loss would budge them.

I did not like the Toxin figure and I do not like the Anti-Venom either. The MS Anti-Vanom looks much better and has better texture and the old Toy Biz Toxin was much better of a figure. I know Toxin is on Eddie now, but the new design just does nothing for me. I do think the ML Toxin mold looks better as Anti Venom. Almost as if they thought of him during the sculpting and changed it to Toxin at the last minute.
