I am going to go ahead and put this out there. If anyone finds a Colossus & Juggernaut on clearance and could pick it up for me I would be grateful.

Went out to about 8 Walgreen's looking for Moonstar, but walked away with nada. However, I did find that Infamous Ironman has joined the high ranks of Namor & Medusa in Ultimate Pegwarming.

Well my Walmart is among those already clearance pricing the 80th anniversary stuff for no apparent reason. I'm not sure why they even bothered marking the pegs for the singles since those sold out within a week at full price. Anyway I picked up the Korg set as a birthday gift to myself so I'll open that at the end of the month.

^ Didn't your Cannonball have legs before? If I ever find Dani Moonstar I need to stick her head on the Kitty Pryde body too... I never liked that version of Kitty Pryde anyway and only got her to complete my Juggernaut... nice to have a correct color Lockheed though just in case. I also have those extra thigh pouches from Silver Sable and Lady Deadpool too... so strange it didn't occur to me to use them the way you did... need to try that as well.
My Gamestop had bazillion of those Cowboy Logans... I'm thinking they will pegwarm until the next 5 dollar clearance sale... assuming Gamestop lasts that long and doesn't go out of business. I wonder if the Punisher and white Agent Venom will be more popular than Cowboy Logan. Didn't see Emma or Dani at any of my Walgreens. |

Put about about a hundred miles on my car searching for clearance priced legends at several Walmarts. Came up empty handed. There's still about 3 more Walmarts in the area I haven't checked out but my previous hunt has left me feeling it's not worth it. Anybody in the DC area here? If so, have you found clearance figures in the area? |

I forgot to bring something up when I posted the last few days, when I was looking at Moonstars on ebay, I also saw some preorder auctions for She Hulk and Doom (probably from the same seller.) They had anticpated release dates of November or December, I can't recall but definitely had them for this year.
I know that could be incorrect for many reasons - assumption on the part of the seller, change in plans, but my god, if that wave officially releases this year as well, even though we know only two figures in it....I love the Legends Hasbro and you have been KILLING it the last few years, but no more for 2019. We're approaching overkill on awesome releases. I mean, if they wanna release a 3 Pack Spider-Man and his amazing friends before year's end, THAT's fine. But otherwise no more until 2020. We still have a ton of stuff coming the next three months, which is fairly unusual in the 4th quarter. |

I don't see that as unusual. Think about it: Hasbro may lose the license to make Marvel Legends and Star Wars figures in 2020 unless they extend their deal. Hasbro already has Transformers, Power Rangers and now Ghostbusters. They've got a lot of figures to focus on. If there is no new deal, I'd imagine Hasbro is going to want to make all of the Marvel figures they can while they're still able to.
What I personally think is unusual is the lack of Spider-Man figures this year. Sure, we had "Far From Home" figures, but we also only had two waves of "Marvel Legends: Spider-Man". Spider-Man had his highest-grossing movie ever this year and all we got this year were the lackluster Kingpin Build-a-Figure wave and the improved Molten Man wave. We're going into October and it looks like the next wave of Spider-Man figures isn't going to be until the unknown B-A-F wave in the spring. Going from the summer until the spring to wait for a new Spider-Man M.L. wave? THAT is rare. Sure, we have the X-Men showing up to fill that void, but it's not the same. And if Hasbro DOES lose the license to make Marvel Legends figures, I was expecting MORE Spider-Man stuff to get made. There are a ton of characters that still need figures -- Chameleon, Trapster, classic Shocker, Firestar, Shriek, Demogoblin, Morlun, etc. Heck, new figures for either Green Goblin or Hobgoblin and Mysterio with alternate heads included, figures for Sandman and Rhino that aren't Build-A-Figures, a Doctor Octopus with bendable wire tentacles accessories, and civilian figures like Peter Parker, Mary Jane Watson, J. Jonah Jameson, etc., would all be welcome additions to any fan's collection. As a bit of good news, it sounds like Hasbro will make a classic Electro next year. I don't know if I could share the link here or not, but the Boog_ACBA channel on YouTube has a Boog Nice's SDCC 2019 Vlog 005 video from late July where the interviewer asks about if a new classic Electro figure might be made at the 10:06 mark and one of the Hasbro reps said, "We're almost there." and the other rep says, "That'll be your next stamp for next year and then we'll be all done [with the classic Sinister Six characters' figures], yeah." They also asked about normal arms for their Sandman figure immediately after that (though I personally think it'd be nice to see normal arms for the Hydro-Man figure too). Anyway, thanks for reading and I hope you all are having a great weekend. |

Hasbro has only given us two Spiderman waves a year, usually around January and June each year. The only time that a "third" Spiderman wave gets released at the end of the year is when the Spiderman wave slated for January of next year gets released in December of the current year.

@Nash my man! Really like the new Avatar picture haha. Hopefully Hasbro sees it and reminds them to make a Firestar,Iceman, and Spidey three pack haha
@StuartGreen I pray that’s true. Because a Classic Electro is literally my second most wanted Legend behind me and Nash’s go to pick of Firestar. |

I have a hard time believing the wave with Doom and She-Hulk will be out this year. We know nothing about any Avengers waves for next year yet, and that's become another of the evergreen umbrellas Legends does. So I more likely see those being part of an Avengers wave early next year.

@jwyss234 - Yeah, you're right about the two releases. Still, like I wrote before, since Hasbro may lose the license to make Marvel figures next year, I was hoping for more Spider-Man stuff. And since we know one of the two Spider-Man waves (the unknown Build-A-Figure wave of two Spider-Men, Superior Octopus, Vulture and White Rabbit), that means we'll only have one wave of Spider-Man figures left before Hasbro may lose the license -- and that stinks. I'd also be incredibly disappointed if we don't get more fan favorites for the second, and possibly last, "Marvel Legends: Spider-Man" wave. When you have fans waiting for fan favorite characters to finally be made (such as Firestar, first appearance Storm and Silver Centurion Iron Man) and only X number of figures per wave each year, our chances of seeing popular character figures we want to see made is getting slimmer each day. And I'm hopeful we don't get anymore disappointing aspects of popular figure releases either, like the infamous non-bendy wire tentacles of Doc Ock (which I hope Hasbro does somehow next year, even if it's for a new Doctor Octopus like in his Armani suit version or resurrection/Steve Skroce designed suit or whatever) and the legless Cannonball situations we have. Personally, I hope the inevitable second wave of "Marvel Legends: Spider-Man" gives us classic Electro, classic Shocker, "Superior Foes" Overdrive, first appearance Mary Jane Watson, "Amazing Friends" Firestar and a John Romita Sr./Gil Kane era classic Spider-Man.
@Tim - I hope the classic Electro mention is true too. That's my main "Marvel Legends: Spider-Man" figure want at the moment. @hasbroherofan - I'd personally love to see more Avengers, Hulk and Fantastic Four "Marvel Legends" figures made. The possibilities are endless with characters like Constrictor, Mr. Hyde, Crystal, Captain Marvel II, Tigra, U.S. Agent, Falcon, "Heroes Return" era suits for heroes like Iron Man and Scarlet Witch, Ultron, classic costume Boomerang, lab coat/classic Bruce Banner, Ringmaster, the Leader, Abomination, Mr. Fix-It Gray Hulk, Professor Hulk in his brown Pantheon jumpsuit, She-Hulk in her classic suit and her Fantastic Four uniform, the Fantastic Four in their blue and white uniforms and/or "Heroes Return" era suits, Wizard, Trapster, Super Skrull, Kang the Conqueror and Molecule Man. There are so many figures I'd love to see made, and yet so much damage that'd do to my wallet. Thanks for reading my rant and I hope you all are having a great day. |

Regarding Spider-Man, I'll almost willing to bet money next year's vintage wave will be Spider-Man themed. So I suspect we'll get three Spider-Man waves next year.
I'm not the biggest Spider-Man fan, but I definitely like him and do want to see more prominent villains done, like Morlun, Mr. Negative, Calypso, and Spot, as well as BAF Stegron, would probably do it for me. As far as alternate takes on Spider-Man, pretty much just Spider-Man India. But they're also including some "assorted" figures like Cloak and Dagger, New Warriors, that could either go in Spider-Man, Avengers or a generic wave, and since they've done a couple of New Warriors, besides the obvious seeing Justice, Namorita, and Speedball be done would also be great. Also one other thing, while we've gotten two Spider-Man waves per year, we did technically get three last year with the Venom wave. But yeah I think all the other years since Hasbro's ROML and their themed waves it's been just two waves a year. But the waves vary from having figures stay on the pegs so long, or having waves that never show up hardly at all because other waves linger, it can feel like more than two waves a year. Would 3 waves a year work? From a collector's standpoint absolutely. From a distribution and retail placement standpoint I'm not so sure. They have a hard time handling two waves a year. |

@Captain Nash - Going off your comments, I think three Spider-Man waves would work. They worked before. Toy Biz usually had three to four Spider-Man waves per year, especially in the '90s, and they always sold well. They also did what Hasbro isn't doing: make more than one of the same character a few years apart in a different suit. Like Toy Biz did Doctor Octopus various times - for the Animated Series line, then Web Wars, then Spider Power with the Skroce era likeness, and then the lab coat bendy tentacles version. With characters like Rogue, we've only had one Rogue figure made by Hasbro for their six-inch Marvel Legends line so far, but Toy Biz made several versions of her, from "X-Men: The Animated Series" to their Monster Armor series.
Three Spider-Man waves work because Spidey has so many versions of his villains, his allies and his own costume. We could easily see a first appearance/Steve Ditko suit Spidey, a Romita Sr. Spidey, Octo-Spidey, Web Armor Spidey, Spider-Hulk, Spider-Lizard, the Slinger identities, Amazing Bag Man, Spider-Man Unlimited -- and those are just the identities off the top of my head. They could even do Spinneret and Spiderling figures if they wanted to. If Hasbro does lose the license, I just want to see all the missing characters from teams completed, like new figures for classic or green-and-yellow Wild Pack/Avengers era suit Sandman, classic Electro, classic Boomerang, classic or Sinister Syndicate era armored Rhino, "Superior Foes" Overdrive, etc. I'm repeating Sandman and Rhino because I prefer sold-separately figures and the Build-A-Figure lines usually have those one-or-two popular characters consistently sold out to make it impossible to find without resorting to Ebay or Amazon, or they were figures of characters nobody wanted to buy. Just because Hasbro has made a figure of a specific character before doesn't mean everyone was able to find/buy it the first time around. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for new figures or re-releases for characters like 90s Cyclops (and yes, I know we're getting the three pack with the jacket, but it's not the same), 90s Rogue and red suit Daredevil. I think the shelfwarming problem is mainly about which characters are sold in the which toyline. As we've seen, for the Warlock Build-A-Figure wave, the Sunfire and Dazzler figures shelfwarmed, where as 90s Jim Lee Cyclops clearly did not. For the Sandman Build-A-Figure wave, Green Goblin and Symbiote Spider-Man were figures I could never find, while Jackal and Miss Marvel were in every store I looked. Even Shocker sold out. And with the Kingpin wave this year being so underwhelming, I just want some A-list characters get made into long overdue figures while Hasbro has the chance to. Not so sure if Hasbro will lose the license next year....they also talked about doing a wave for the Shang Chi movie when Boog asked them about it and that movie isn't due until 2021.
At the very least, Hasbro is still operating as if they'll be holding onto the license and I don't see any reason for Disney to take the license away at the peak of Legends' popularity. |

IMO the weird thing is license renewals/extensions usually happen a year or two ahead of time I think... it is kinda unusual for them to happen last minute. I mean even Harmony Gold just renewed their Robotech license recently and so many people were looking forward to them possibly losing the license a couple of years from now when it was set to expire.

I doubt Hasbro will not renew the Marvel license. They are doing an amazing job on the figures. If they could fix their distribution problems...
