So many female mutant heads to use with the body. I've seen it even with Psylocke's, Jean Grey's, and Storm's head and they still look good.

Oh man, you got six! Lucky. I guess they are hitting the US properly now. I'm using my spare Magik head, thou will need drilling, and the old Emma Frost for Magma, thou I will have to paint the lipstick.
I guess you could do Pixie (thou I dislike the character) with a Hope head and Wasp wings.

Yeah I took my Kitty legs and put them on Wolfsbane to fit the fur better. Then I took those Wolfsbane legs and put them on Kitty/Dani to give her boots. I like the look.

I have 5 already and a full case being held for me that I'm debating grabbing. I want a couple more to customize but mostly to help people on here. Only one person PMed though so I guess no one really needs her.

Which do you prefer for Dani? I like them both unfinished, even sans paint customization or boot fringe. I like the scale of the Kitty Pryde one. Makes me think more regal with the shoulder pads too lol.

Do you think the Wolfsbane works? Still have to paint and maybe play with size and placement of fur.
I prefer the Kitty body for Dani except that the glove cuffs kind of limit the range of movement in the forearms. Clever idea with the fur on Wolfsbane, which feet did you use?

Honestly I don't hate that especially when you consider her first MLF costume, and Hasbro should have used that sai hand from Elektra for Dani's arrow anyway

The feet on Wolfsbane are from the Kingpin wave Symbiote Spider-Man. Small enough to fudge on a smaller figure but still fit the wolf look.

I also wanted to use the Elektra hand for an arrow pose but I don't have an extra Elektra. Plus I really like the sai pose I have mine in. I thought about doing the Pink Ranger thing but haven't decided.

The pink ranger hands work pretty good, the pegs are a bit long and need to be trimmed and of course painted to match

More fun with Wolverine tonight.

Not very clear from the pic but Sabretooth just twisted Wolverine's wrist around to break it.

Robokilla over at the Fwoosh mentioned that Hasbro's price increase is going to take effect early next year. It looks like average price for legends is going to be $21.99. Not as bad as I expected.

Oh wow, yeah that's not terrible. I was expecting a $5-$7 increase.

You may say that isn't bad, but that is still a lot if you buy 20+ figures a year.

I still think it's bullshit they are doing this at all.

As someone who is extremely thrifty and buys more than 20 figures a year, I definitely feel where you're coming from. It's just that I feared they were going up to $25.

We are all sacrifices on the altar of... I dunno, some societal commentary.

Still cheaper than a drug habit, and with longer-lasting enjoyment!

Considering I remember getting all my popular action figures for under $6.99 ea from Toybiz, Kenner, and Hasbro, I think as long as figures stay under $30, it's fine. Once figures hit the $30+ price, I'm out of toy collecting.

These are luxury items I don't need to survive. It's like MLB baseball. In 1990 I could quote you every player's stats, college, and watched every game on tv. Then the strike happened and I discovered so many other things to do. I never went back to baseball and can't watch a game on tv at all. Can go to a stadium, but rarely make it 9 innings.

Same thing with toys. I fully support Hasbro and the other toy stories to do whatever they believe is best for their companies. It's THEIRS to make money, not placate the 20 or so frequent posters on toyark or reddit.

I totally understand the concept behind the tariffs. It's hard to compete when the market isn't fair. We've had several presidents try kissing butt with no positive effects, this is just another attempt to get some level of balance. This is as far as I'm willing to go with "politics/economics" since it's such a polarizing topic.

Bottom line: It'll affect those of us that preorder product at MSRP, but less so the majority who seem to wait for 20% coupons, sales, or other discounts that bring the product down to near cost or below cost.

The price increase isn't too bad, IMO. I feared more. It's been $20 for several years now. Prices go up. Or need we remember the Toybiz days when figures were $8-ish dollars, AND included a comic and BAF parts, at least halfway through their run?

The $25 price point would have me being more choosy, even next year. But at $22 I can still make next year my last big ML year.

Side note: My Havok/Polaris set is out for delivery today. So exciting! And there's still so much more to come before the year is out. Which is weird but in a good way. Usually the last four months of the year are fairly dry, with only a wave released and maybe a 2 pack or two. There's still over a dozen figures I'm waiting on before year's end. No downtime this year - and it sounds like there won't be next year, either.

On its own, the price per figure increasing to $22 doesn't really bother me. Price increases have to happen at some point and a $2 bump isn't massive. However, IT IS a problem when you consider the amount of figures Hasbro has put out this year coupled with the fact that some waves have been very weak but contained desirable BAFs. Personally, I've already started to wait for some stuff to go on sale because I felt that it wasn't worth the $20 price.

General question for everyone here; It's the end of October and it looks like we're almost done for the year. Should we wait a little longer for our Top 10 lists from 2019? I think all we have left are Grey Hulk and the vintage card Deadpool.

wait till january , jean , wolvie and cyke pack is dropping as well as havok and polaris... so you might want to add them to your lists unless you havent ordered those ones, then knock yourself out

I know some people (like me in some cases) are still waiting for the X-men 2 and 3 packs, the BroThor wave and of course the Alpha Flight set for all who ordered it. So for those it may be too soon, but if you think you're set I don't see why not. Usually by this point we've got all but a figure or two left to get for the year, so Hasbro is really filling in the year fully.

Adios legends. That will amount to close to $23.00 if not more in some places so f u hasblow. It was a good run but their bs price hikes end my collecting unless they go on sale.
