@webz - I don't know if Age of Apocalypse means we'd get a Spider-Clone wave, given how it's pretty much considered the worst Spider-Man story of the '90s and probably second worst of all behind "One More Day". That said, I'd be down for a Spider-Clone wave. I'd include a new or re-release of the Ben Reilly Spider-Man, Green Goblin with alternate heads (classic mask, "The Night of the Goblin!" mask from "Revelations" and Norman Osborn), classic Kaine, classic Stunner, Armani suit Doctor Octopus with bendable tentacles and an alternate Mark of Kaine scarred head (or even a Carolyn Trainer/Lady Octopus figure), and Grim Hunter. I don't see Jackal getting a new figure for a long time, since he still shelf-warms in certain stores in my area. If anything, though, I think a 90s Spider-Man animated series wave would work better for Hasbro, especially since this month is the 25th anniversary of the show. Figures like the Kingpin, Alistair Smythe, the Green Goblin, Venom, Doctor Octopus and the Shocker would all be welcome additions, especially since we never got a human form Alistair Smythe figure and the Toy Biz figures for villains like Doc Ock and Shocker looked nothing like their animated series counterparts.
I like the new reveals, especially Crossbones. For 2020, I'm hoping we see Age of Apocalypse figures for Rogue and Cyclops, as well as non-AoA figures for both (especially Rogue, as I'm amazed she hasn't had any figures since her 90s Jim Lee era figure). I still want to see Hasbro release all-new figures of long-awaited fan favorites that Hasbro knows we want to see figures of (70s Storm, "Amazing Friends" Firestar, Silver Centurion Iron Man, classic comic Falcon, Ultron, etc.). Does anyone know if Hasbro's doing a new Q&A on the weekend? Last edited by StuartGreen2019; 11-01-2019 at 06:11 PM.. |

Does anyone know if Hasbro's doing a new Q&A on the weekend? I know the whole "what about (insert character)" question for the Q&A is frowned upon, but I also know quite some time ago some of us joked about it otherwise, and for the next convention, I think someone really SHOULD ask "I know we're not supposed to ask about what the plans are for certain characters, but seriously, what's the damn deal with Firestar?" To the rest of your post, I agree, I think seeing some of those spider-man figures would be great. We already have soooo many Venoms though and we have another Venom wave next year that will undoubtedly include another Venom. Otherwise, Kingpin definitely needs a release in another format, not a redo per se, but a recolor and none BAF release. So many people likely wanted him but passed on the weakest Spider-Man wave to that point (until we got the first 2020 wave of course). Classic Shocker would be great, Green Goblin I'm neutral on, but he's a top tier Spider-Man villain, keeping him current isn't such a bad idea. I am not the biggest reader of Spider-Man so I don't know who some of who you mentioned were and that's okay, no need to explain. it would be like trying to explain Marrow to a non-X-Men fan. Just release them all! Drown us in our wishlists come to plasticized fruition! Last edited by Captain Nash; 11-01-2019 at 06:46 PM.. |

I worked for a Comic book store during AoA and it was underestimated by fans and retailers initially. After the 1st books came out, all of our subscribers wanted all of the titles. We sold more X-Men comics over 4 months than any other time. No Internet so customers spoke with the staff and other customers. It was wonderful. We didn't understand that it was great to discuss where we thought the plot was going and what we thought of the characters. You will never be able to experience what I experienced. Your loss.

@Captain Nash - I don't see why people should be afraid to ask and/or not be allowed to ask "when is (name) going to be made into a figure" at a Q&A, especially since Hasbro may lose the license in 2020 if they don't reach a new deal (even though Hasbro says they do plan to extend their deal to make Marvel and Star Wars figures). This should be THE time when we should ask "is (name) going to be made into a figure?" I agree a classic Shocker would be amazing and the upcoming Demogoblin wave is easily one of the weakest waves of Spider-Man figures in recent memory. I just want to see the A-list Spider-Man supporting characters, heroes and villains get new figures, especially in their classic looks, for next year (and no, I won't repeat myself -- you guys know who I've been asking for, and I hope Hasbro has been reading and knows too).
I'm not a fan of modern/current looks for figures, since most of the "new" looks aren't as appealing and the nostalgia factor for classic characters and the 80s and 90s suits for fan-favorites usually makes me give Hasbro my money. It's going to be very, VERY hard to come up with a Top 10 wish-list this year. Heck, if anything, I'd prefer making a Top 6 list of characters I'd like to see for their figure waves -- like a Top 6 figures I'd like Hasbro to make for X-Men, a Top 6 for Spider-Man, a Top 6 for retro/vintage, etc. I do hope that The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man also get a wave of their own next year, as they really, REALLY need a new toyline A.S.A.P. |

So any guesses for the X-Men AoA build a figure?
Dark Beast? AoA Apocalypse? AoA Mr. Sinister? Holocaust/Nemesis? Sugar Man? |

So for now I'm still going to say Apocalypse. But I badly want all of them, Sinister though I could see coming as non-BAF. Dark Beast would be fantastic as would a redo of Nemesis. But...what I would absolutely be stunned by...Abyss. Not as a single carded figure, but somehow..full on coiled arms instead of just painted representation of them. Expanded cloak....my god. just take my money right now Hasbro. |

Around what year would that be? That is so shocking to me... all the AoA costumes/designs (except Mags) just look so hideous to me personally. So I guess these Age of Apocalypse figs should sell pretty well then.

Hoping the next set of reveals actually show off some new female figures. Odd how absolutely no females have been revealed at these cons for the Black Widow, AOA, or Strong Guy waves. Just a bunch of dudes or duds.

We all know there'll be a Black Widow or two in her wave but if they're both movie-based then I'm sure there are legal blocks preventing their reveal until like Toy Fair or something.

It's almost guaranteed we'll get the white/gray movie Widow from the teaser poster and I would expect to see either a movie or comic Yelena Boliva

I saw the Jean 3 pack at Gamestop today. They wanted $75 for it. I passed.

Other than that, maybe we'll luck out and get Siryn in the Strong Guy wave. There's also presumably gonna be an Avengers wave next year, and there are a lot of possibilities there (like maybe a redone Tigra at some point). |

I've seen some posters of BW in a white version of her costume. I wonder if that'll end up being a store exclusive. |

I think Gamestop currently has the bag sale going on though... you pay 5 bucks for the bag and anything that fits in it is 20% off. Plus you can check the paint apps on Jean.

lol There's plenty of "meh" left over for that. I think I've told you before, I was pretty much done with the Xmen after Inferno...

Inferno doesn't make sense for an ending to the franchise for me as they handn't finished off the Lady Deathbird plot with taking over the Shi'ar Empire yet.
Well I'll also tell you this, Jean's belt looked like Two-Face. Half it was fully painted red and the other half was black. I'm pretty sure it isn't supposed to look like that.

I agree, if anything a great stopping point for someone in the classic era would be at the end of the Muir Island Saga. But Inferno does tie up a lot of storylines, so I can see why it would also be a stopping point. |

If anyone out there doesn't want the Wolverine and Cyclops from the Love Triangle 3-pack, send me a PM. I'd love to work out a trade and or buy deal.
I have no reason to buy the entire $60 set because I don't want Jean Gray.

Dark Beast and Jean revealed as the final two figures in the AoA wave - BAF yet to be revealed.
Jean was a gimme pretty much, and great. SO excited for Dark Beast. Definitely my #1 most anticipated wave of the year. I think if we get a second wave it will be: Sabretooth Magneto Iceman Cyclops Storm OR Mystique Rogue Nightcrawler But dammit, I REALLY want an Abyss. At the very least, even if we don't get another wave, Apocalypse, Magneto, Rogue and Sabretooth have to be coming some way. There's no way they're going to not do four characters so crucial to the storyline. Last edited by Captain Nash; 11-02-2019 at 09:15 AM.. |

Unless the BaF is really awesome, I'm passing on the AoA wave.
