I didn't think that you were advocating for more Caps (or Spideys..or Iron Men). I thought you may have interpreted my comment as a knee-jerk diatribe against the production of flagship figs. You really made me pause and consider that new comers to ML's collecting should have an alternative to saving-up to buy that $80 Hulk...or whatever they fancy.

I get the whole anchor fig for brand recognition thing, but I'm not sure how effective it is when it gets abused like this. Kids aren't stupid, they recognize redundancy and lack of variety. Take for example that Ben 10 toy line; it had a lot of fan-service. In fact, I don't believe that it would've been as successful as it was (way more successful than I thought it would be) if 10 of the figs were Fourarms. When I was a kid, variety in figs only served to heighten my interest in a line. If I didn't know about the character, and it looked cool, it made me want it even more and inspired me to learn about its background. Now that I think about it, this corporate toy model of flagship fig retread may be contributing (among other things) to the declining interest of young toy fans. Hasbro (and other toy makers) might be shooting themselves in the foot in assuming that youth toy-collectors are too stupid to know better.

Odd question, but would anyone who happens to have the First Appearance Iron Man (standard or variant) be willing to do a boil-and-pop on his head, so I can see the size of the neck peg/ neck peg hole? If he found it searching Amazon, where are the Amazon listings? Also: No way is Giant Man his own figure, he'd have to be the BaF right? So who's figure #6?

Not to mention we already know there's a Movie Ant Man and a Movie Yellowjacket, so if you add a Comic Ant man... Wait, *if* that's the list and the Giant Man is the BaF, and Ant Man is a Movie figure then maybe that is the list?

Either way we'll know in 3 weeks when Toyfair starts...

I thought about that too. I'm thinking it will be something movie related- Like young hank Pym in an "Giant-Man" and not "Ant-Man" costume. It doesn't say anything about the BAF, so who knows.
