^^^ This is the reason we need accessory packs , I feel like buying her for £20 but an accessory pack could be a cheaper alternative and i wouldn't be stuck with a costume i don't want.
@DrKain i argee with your choices , if i didnt get superskrull and doom making them in the top 2019 even though the f4 wave was meant to be for next year |

A rough pass at my top 10 2019 Legends. I feel it might change later. Some of the figures released in 2019 that I've wanted I do not own yet, so I can't speak for those figures but some might be on this list if I owned them.
1. FFH Mysterio 2. Corvus Glaive 3. Captain America and Motorcycle 4. Captain America 2012 5. Rescue 6. FFH MJ 7. Killmonger 8. Decathlon Spidey 9. Loki Infinity War 10. Captain America Worthy

80th Thor probably would have made my top 10 if I had bought him. I want him, but I have yet to find him discounted as I can't bring myself to pay $25+ for him.

Nah... I think I like the old Sue head better... I don't like those two hair curls at the eye level on the new head. It is like her hair is blowing in the wind... or maybe I do like it better... IDK. LOL. I know I need to find another Walgreens Mr. Fantastic to put the new Johnny Storm head on though, but damn... Mr. Fantastic became expensive all of a sudden.
![]() ![]() In a perfect world, accessory packs would definitely be an interesting route for getting more into Marvel Legends. Unfortunately with all of the swappers, re-packers, and accessory thieves out there, I don't see it being a reality. |

Well it's finally safe to say I am not getting Doom, or any more Legends, in 2019 so I'll put out my personal top 10. Until the top 5 there isn't really any significance to the order.
10. MCU Mysterio: effect pieces would have been nice but the overall look is great. 9. Corvus Glaive: this spot could've gone to Ebony Maw but Corvus is the more intricate design. 8. "Family Matters" Scarlet Witch: the head on this figure almost seems like it's from some other, better line. 7. Mister Sinister: sharply executed rendition of a personal favorite X-villain. 6. MCU Ghost: besides being a year late this figure came out great and the alternate head has one of the best likenesses they've pulled off. 5. Beta Ray Bill: if it were his classic look he'd probably be higher but this is sill a cool figure of one of my all-time favorites. 4. 80th Juggernaut: mainly for being the classic red colors but in general I view this as an upgrade over the BAF and this one came with alternate parts. 3. 80th Thor: he came with no lightning effects and I had to sift through quite a few to find one without QC issues but beyond that he's perfect. 2. Nightcrawler: the blue fuzzy elf was in need of an update and not only did we get a great base figure but a variety of alternate pieces to choose from. 1. 80th Hulk: I'm going to cheat and include both the green from the two pack and the grey. Almost exactly the Hulk I've been waiting for and we got him twice. Honorable mentions: the Alpha Flight set, Beast, 80th Colossus, Professor X, Ebony Maw, and worthy Cap. Overall 2019 wound up being a strong year for my Legends collection. It started a bit slow but by summer it picked up and got a big boost from the 80th anniversary line. I completed none of the new BAFs but I did back-track to finish Sasquatch thanks to discount chains and clearance prices. The only figures I got that I am even close to feeling negative about are Quicksilver and Paladin, part of a multipack and purchased for a BAF piece respectively.

Just make them online exculsives, that would be a way to avoid this. I get my marvel legends online and rarely see them in stores.

Exodus
Gideon Falcon [classic] Lady Deathstrike Cyclops [AoA] Toad Avalanche Corsair Deathbird Pyro BAF: Watcher [Uatu] Went with this list.... kicked off Senyaka, Black Tom Cassidy, Baron Strucker. I could do a top 20 of obscure characters at this point. Would love a Hasbro Uatu before I shell out for the Select version at some point. Lockjaw, Nimrod, Blob (really don’t want that rereleased) and Holocaust seem to be the most common wants. Firestar, Toad, Avalanche, Pyro, classic Falcon, Lady Deathstrike and Exodus make frequent appearances when skimming other’s lists. Last edited by Archangel; 01-01-2020 at 06:36 PM.. |

I tend not to put characters who I think are inevitable on the list, but I caved and put Lockjaw since I'm kinda baffled he still hasn't been made.

See, me, I did cave and buy the Select Watcher. A Hasbro one would probably be better, but I no longer need one. Lockjaw has to happen eventually, right? Nimrod was my vote, I think he’d make a hell of a figure. Blob’s tough, because he looks repugnant, but he’s an important character (relatively, I mean, important to a Brotherhood display). I do not care about Holocaust,, as I am not a fan of “Age Of Apocalypse” costumes and characters. That said, he is cool looking. In terms of the figure poll, I’m noticing the X-Men are predominate, with GSXM Storm & Banshee among the more demanded figures. Also seeing a lot of calls for Falcon, who seems inevitable next year, between the TV show and the new wing-sculpt from Vulture.
It'll be really interesting to see who will come out on top. I think Firestar and Storm (combined Jim Lee and FA) were in the top 3 last year, so I can't imagine they won't be slots 1 and 2, just not sure who would get which. I'm seeing Exodus pop up quite a bit more than I expected, which is good so he might make top 10 finally. Of course, voting is until the 6th and we're only ending the first day, so who knows. Maybe hordes of people asking for Stacy X and 3D Man are on the other side of the world and just about to place their votes. ![]() |

Just ran into some Walmart discounts at $11. Hard to walk away from extras at that price.
I saw about 15 Ghost 2-packs at $13....I’m surprised how hard those peg warmed. I didn’t grab one...so that probably explains it. I’ll probably see those at Ross soon. |

All three of the nonexclusive MCU two packs from the 80th anniversary line peg-warmed in my area, my primary speculation is that since none of them were from the newest movies a lot of consumers didn't feel the hype. The Ghost pack in particular likely suffered from the fact that Luis is just a civilian in a suit.

Around my area, all of the MCU figures sold out. Ghost and Luis lasted the longest but all of them sold fairly quickly short of 1 or 2 I saw around town last week before Christmas. I haven't even seen any of the Comic ones around town and never saw the Iron man and Spiderman one at all. I haven't seen the Spiderman and MJ packs either. We got less Grandmaster and Korg sets than any others and Hela and Skurge we got a few more but there were tons of Luis and Ghost ones around and they still sold.

I picked up the Ghost/Luis pack when they hit clearance at Target, mostly to scratch a Legends itch I had at the time, but if you want to know why it warmed...I'd have to say because it was two uninteresting characters from a MCU film that's one of the worst of the lot, released nearly a year after said film came out.

Nah man. It's not delayed. I got Dr Doom from my LCS 2 weeks ago. Got Superior Oc, Shang Chi and Vulture on Dec 27th. They're hitting. Your area may be spotty.

I was referring to Pulse shipping my order out since originally it was Jan 2nd. Looks like it is Jan 13th now. That works in my favor, especially since Amazon decided to automatically charge the card I use with Pulse because they didn't want to charge my Amazon card for some reason (despite having more than enough of it to fulfil the order I did).

Looking back at their last poll, eight characters from the top ten spots have actually had figure releases/upcoming releases since with many from lower tiers seeing release too. Here's a link to the results from the last poll. It's an interesting read: Official Fwoosh 2018 Top Ten Poll Results | Funnily enough, the Walgreen's Invisible Woman got a lot of flack for that very reason upon her initial release. |

Hasbro has definitely stated at past cons that they do pay attention to fan-polls. I'm also pretty sure they name-dropped this one in particular.

As this is my first post of 2020, I'd like to wish you all a Happy New Year!
I got to vote in the Top 10 poll yesterday. I didn't vote for first appearance Storm or Firestar, because everyone else is doing that for me. My votes went to Spider-Man [John Romita Sr.], Electro [classic], Shocker [classic], Leader [black-and-orange suit], Falcon [classic], Crystal [classic yellow uniform], She-Hulk [Fantastic Four uniform], Doctor Octopus [white Armani suit], US. Agent [classic], and Lady Deathstrike [classic]. Fingers crossed Doc Ock gets bendable wire tentacles accessories next time. It's almost as bad as Cannonball not having legs included with his figure. I almost wrote Doc Ock as the John Romita Sr. version, but we haven't had an Armani suit Ock. Maybe they could toss in an alternate "Mark of Kaine" Doc Ock head as an accessory/"Web of Death" Easter egg? This would be my runner-up list: - Wasp [red-and-black classic suit] - Ringmaster [classic] - Sandman [classic, not a Build A Figure] - Mysterio [classic, brighter suit colors, alternate heads of Quentin Beck and Daniel Berkhart, maybe an MCU Beck head too that's compatible with the FFH figure] - Green Goblin [John Romita Sr., with brighter suit colors and alternate heads of Norman Osborn, Harry Osborn and Dr. Bart Hamilton] - Luke Cage [classic] - Constrictor [classic] - White Queen [classic/first appearance] - Boomerang [purple-and-blue suit] - Professor Hulk [brown Pantheon jumpsuit, not a Build-A-Figure] If Hasbro's reading, classic Mole Man, classic red suit Daredevil (I missed him last time), Mister Hyde, classic lab coat Bruce Banner, General "Thunderbolt" Ross, classic Peter Parker, J. Jonah Jameson, John Romita Sr./first appearance Mary Jane Watson, classic Toad, classic Kang, classic Dr. Strange, classic Banshee, classic Wizard, Trapster, classic Ultron, classic Avalanche, classic Pyro, a new Rogue (80s, 90s re-release, Uncanny Avengers, etc.), classic Monica Rambeau/Captain Marvel, Silver Centurion Iron Man, a chainmail/brighter suit colors John Byrne era Captain America (with a smiling Cap face, alternate Steve Rogers head and both his triangular and classic round shields as accessories, please), classic Hobgoblin with alternate heads (Ned Leeds, Jason Macendale and Roderick Kingsley) and a bigger/better Goblin glider accessory, 80s armored/Sinister Syndicate era Rhino that's not a Build-A-Figure, the blue-and-white John Byrne era Fantastic Four figures, classic War Machine, classic Thunderstrike, Web Armor Spider-Man, Octo-Spidey, classic Kaine, classic Stunner, classic Lady Octopus, the Slingers (Ricochet, Prodigy, Hornet and Dusk), 1999 "Spider-Man Unlimited" suit Spidey, gypsy suit "Heroes Return" Scarlet Witch and Mr. Negative would all be awesome figures too. I know, I'm repeating myself and went way beyond listing just 10. But let's be honest. Every year, it gets harder and harder to narrow it down to just 10. Thanks for reading my rant, tolerating my nonsense, and I hope you all have a wonderful day. Last edited by StuartGreen2019; 01-02-2020 at 12:43 PM.. |
