Anybody selling the Odin wave Scarlet Witch? Need some parts from her. I think I accidentally deleted a message from someone a while back who had her.

So is Mach 1 using the old Ultimate Beetle legs? Because those things always broke on every Beetle I had. It was a bit of a disappointment. I'm hoping Hasnbro has fixed this issue.

Picked up the entire Gamerverse Abomination wave the other day, so here's a couple of quick thoughts...
![]() Rage: I have no attachment to the character, so I can't say that it gets me excited to have, but it's well executed and it should make fans of the character happy. I really like the new jacket parts, and I love how the mask is put together. It looks like a guy actually wearing a mask, as opposed to a mask simply being painted on his face. Some major gripes though, the figure uses that gummy plastic on the legs, and I swear, his right leg is slightly longer than it's left. The right bicep joint on the elbow is also stuck too, which is a QC issue with this wave I've found...Cap, Mach 1 and Leader all had similar issues. I had to actually take Mach 1 and Leader arms apart in order to get it functioning. Captain Marvel: Nice to finally have this guy. I like the body choice (Spider-UK) and the paints on mine were nice and clean. I like the headsculpt, but it could have used a bit more paint on the mouth portion just to give it a bit of definition. Only major gripes I have with him are a lack of hands or effects, which is a major gripe for the entire wave, as the only figure with any sort of accessories is Iron Man, Cap, and Kamala, and in the cases of those figures, are all things we've seen before a thousand times. Still, it fills a much needed spot. ![]() Leader and Mach 1: The two characters I was most excited for with this wave just so happen to be the most underwhelming. Mach 1 uses that Ultimate Beetle body (which still has it's issues) and while the metallic colors are nice, the flat whites and reds of the armor and helmet do it no favors. The hand choice is horrible as well, as he has gripping hands (fisted would have been preferable) and they look awkward and long on the arms. Leader...I don't know what it is...it does nothing for me. I like the use of the Reed Richards body, but something about the headsculpt feels...off, and I honestly think the Toybiz versions look so much better. The lack of accessories also hurt it...a laser pistol or some kind of handheld contraption really would help with the fun factor here. ![]() Gamerverse Cap and Iron Man: Gonna sounds biased, but these are the best two figures of the wave, hands down. The Iron Man has a really nice sculpt that gives me Extremis armor vibes, and would look good on an MCU shelf as well as a comic shelf. The head is a bit tiny though, though I think these would make great drones for Tony because of that. The Cap is actually my favorite figure of the wave, which again sounds biased as I'm a Cap fan, but I will say that I HATE the costume design for the upcoming game, so I was not expecting to like this as much as I do in figure form. It would look great on an MCU shelf (though I'm going to be making this Cap an unofficial member of the G.I.Joe team once the Classified figures start dropping) as it has a ton of new sculpting that's very grounded in it's realistic tactical gear approach. Cap even comes with a trigger hand to hold a pistol or rifle, and the shield design is awesome, and is a completely new sculpt to boot. My gripe though, is that the shield uses that wretched clip system, and as a result, it will not clip onto Cap's arm securely, as it falls loosely off the wrist, and the armored forearms are too thick for it to attach without risk of breaking. Thankfully, the clip is easily removable so you can customize it with your own strap (which I will be doing...) but c'mon Hasbro...we shouldn't have to. This clip system sucks. ![]() Kamala Khan: Elephant in the room...shame on you Hasbro for re-releasing this pegwarmer with a BAF piece. If anything, this should have been the one figure to not have a BAF piece, not Cap. I will give it some merits though. Although VERY minimal, I do like the changes that were made, and I do like it better than the original figure. I like the updated skin tone, and the use of digital printing on the headsculpt is really makes it stand out. I like the muted color scheme over the brighter colors of the original, and the new boots are a nice addition. Like Cap and Iron Man, I feel that this figure could be placed onto an MCU shelf very easily thanks to those details. Despite those changes though, does it warrant another purchase? Not really, unless you're trying to complete the BAF of course, and I already have a feeling that part is gonna be full priced on the secondary market as no one was clamoring for this one and people try to make their money back. Perhaps if they had released the version from the game reveal I might feel a little differently. ![]() But I wanted that BAF part...so here we are... ![]() Gamerverse Abomination: It didn't take long, but we finally have an Abomination that's in scale with the newer Hulk figures that have come out over the last year. I really like the sculpt work that went into this guy, especially on those nasty feet of his. I dig the spiny look of him, and I kinda wish this was how he looked in the Norton film as opposed to....whatever that previous Abomination was. You can also use the head to the Civil War BAF with this figure, though you will have to mod it a tiny bit with some dremeling and paint for the perfect look. It's an option though. The gripes that I have with this guy is a minor and major one. On the minor side, I just wish the eyes were done differently, maybe simply just whited or yellowed out. On the major front, the plastic is once again that softer, more gummy plastic, and as a result, the joints are a little flimsy in the ankles, making this guy hard to stand because he's top heavy and the ankles simply can't support the weight. Despite that gripe, I seriously love anything on this body mold, so I'm glad to have him. Overall, definitely a cash grab wave, and honestly, not a great one. Cap and Iron Man are the bright spots, and Rage is also done well enough to warrant a look. Mar-Vell is a pretty average release but it fills a roster spot. Leader and Mach 1 are pretty underwhelming, but they fill a spot as well for those who need them. Kamala, a nice redo, but prepare to see a flood of her again on store shelves (most likely with a missing or swapped figure or BAF piece.) A-Bomb is another good large BAF to go along with our collection of Hulks, despite the gummy parts. Last edited by Trivial Psychic; 04-07-2020 at 09:30 PM.. |

I plan to pick up Mar-Vell as soon as I can but the rest of the wave is a pass at full price, I might pick up Leader if he goes cheap enough since I'm sure I could find some spare sci-fi weapon for him to wield.

@Trivial Psychic
My main complaints are the fact that Abomination looks like they 3D printed the prototype and cut the molds before the texture for his pants finished rendering, and the ugly shin cut on Captain Marvel, even though he has pointed boot tops ![]() |

^ and of course, we've established that a poster's personal experience and anecdotal evidence is the coin of the realm.

You know, I was going to pass up Mach-1 due to how underwhelming he is as a figure (he really looks like a Playkool toy), but then I remembered that he would nonetheless make a delightful addition to my Superior Foes of Spider-Man display, as he was the annoying leader of the super villain support group that Boomerang was court-mandated to attend.

Because the economy wasn't tanking hard enough before, now let's really put a strain on things.
Your TV had a power surge and blew out? Nope. Sorry. Non essential. Damaged your pants (or worse yet, your medical scrubs) while at work? Nope. Sorry. Non essential. Dropped your phone on the ground by accident and now it doesn't work? Nope. Sorry. Non essential. Need a quart of oil for your car to keep it running? Unless you can eat it...it's non essential. Sorry. I understand the logic and the reasoning, but the response to it is also pretty poorly thought out. Limiting what people can buy will NOT keep them in their homes. That responsibility falls on the consumer and the consumer alone. As a supplier at many of these stores, I find myself beginning to recognize customers who are hitting stores 3 or 4 times a week for little trips, instead of buying whatever their economic situation and supply allows and staying home otherwise. In addition, by limiting what types of items people can buy, you are jeopardizing the jobs of the people who work in those departments at the store level, as well as in the industries who provide these items, who are already skating on thin ice as is. Does Walmart need an employee to stock the baby clothing or the electronics aisle if they are not allowed to sell those items because they were deemed "non essential?" What about the truck drivers who deliver those items? Or the people who make them? You're scapegoating the industries and businesses for continuing to do business where the real responsibilities lie on consumers and the population to simply be a little bit smarter about things and how they plan out their day. And on a final note...let's ABSOLUTELY refrain from calling out ANYONE on this board over how they live their lives. While I'm sure most of us have done the responsible thing, I can almost guarantee that not a single one of us here have been completely compliant and have not left our homes for a trivial reason at some point. If you're claiming that you have from day one...then I'll be the first to call you a liar. We all have left the house to simply grab a gallon of milk for our kids or a case of beer to watch Wrestlemania instead of adding it to a larger list of what should be our minimal once a week shopping trip. I just wish the paranoia would quit being blown outta preportion. And government officials would shut up and quit saying the same things everyday. Unless it is something new just stay off tv because most of it is just useless blather. Im not trying to sound harsh but hearing the same things from the same folks everyday is tiresome. And instead of just reporting deaths howabout reporting the people surviving and being ok? Rant over.
Gonna go build my crimson dynamo and have a scotch... yes at the same time haha! Triv ya know its funny, for me at least, as i was more or less staying home and avoiding people and shopping early to avoid people and large crowds before it was trendy haha. It just gets me that now its just a bigger pain in the Ass to get food and now i cant get new figs or video games, which ARE essential for me. Thank the Gods i dont need to go anywhere for a while. Back to baf building and scotch consumption. ![]()

In the last 25 days, I have left my house twice to go to the grocery store, once to a pet food store, and I drive my wife to work where she tests people for Covid. You can call me a liar, but some of us take this seriously. I am out of work because of the shutdown and the place I work for might not reopen. They tried not to shut everything down, but people kept gathering at the places left open. It has proven that people are too self-interested to be responsible and that just telling them what to do isn't enough. They have to shut things down for people to stay away. I wasn't there, but the last day my work was open, it was packed until midnight. Last edited by usernamedustin; 04-08-2020 at 01:41 PM.. |

I'm only saying this once: Personally, this Coronavirus pandemic is affecting me and my family very hard as we all have personal health issues I'd rather not discuss and we've always gotten sick very easily. It's not as bad in my city (yet), but I have friends here who have loved ones sick and/or died from, or have caught themselves, the Coronavirus. One of my uncles was quarantined on his birthday with my aunt with symptoms of the virus. The last time I left my house was about two weeks ago to pick up a prescription and I saw a large group of people standing in line outside of a shooting range (some of which were standing close together and coughing heavily), a line wrapped around (twice) of a Chick-Fil-A drive-thru, and a Wal-Mart parking lot full of people when I was going to the pharmacy, and I nearly lost my mind. I haven't been out of the house since.
I honestly don't see why this is a surprise that non-essentials like toys are not being sold now. Sorry, but this pandemic is a big deal to me. I don't see why people need to order toys during a pandemic, especially since Amazon workers and drivers themselves have gotten the Coronavirus. People need food, water and medicine. That's essential. A piece of painted plastic is not. My family and I finally got paper towels, Kleenex and certain cereals and canned goods delivered to our home from our local grocery store for the first time in nearly two or three weeks because items like those are always sold out in my area. Please keep in mind I'm not trying to put down or be rude to anyone who has bought toys during this. Yes, it's nice to have a distraction and, yes, it's fun to buy something to pass the time and that makes you happy. I'm glad people were able to find certain figures and items they wanted while they could. But personally, I can't buy anything but essentials since money's very, very tight now. Even if I could, I'm not buying any toys during this time because I don't want to remember I bought (X) awesome figure at a point in time when my family and I were quarantined at home during a pandemic. When this is all over, I look forward to saving up and buying all of the awesome Marvel figures that Hasbro has to offer. I'm especially excited to see what the retro/vintage Spider-Man figures for Electro and the Green Goblin look like, and I plan to buy at least two of that beautifully-repainted Mysterio when I get extra money saved up. (Fingers crossed he'll have at least a new alternate head of Quentin Beck since it's rumored all retro Spider-Man figures will have an alternate head included.) Until then, I'll just do my best to stay put, try to save up some extra cash, and make the best of things. I hope you all are doing well and have a wonderful day. Stay safe, everyone. It makes sense I guess. It's because of people like Dr Kain who "goes to Target every other day just to get out of the apartment".
This is from the article, "Retail workers in the area also complained that customers were congregating in stores and browsing nonessential goods because they were "bored at home," thus filling up the aisles and putting these workers at greater risk." THANKS DR KAIN. |

I think that a lot of people online talk like they will do whatever they want but I believe that 95% or more try not to go out just to look for toys. Me personally, I have a job that was deemed essential so when I am out I try and find cleaning wipes and hand sanitizer because I have to come in contact with others. I also look for items so that my wife does not have to go out, so while I am there I take a look at toys like always. If they stop selling that is fine with me, but if i am there I will look.I do wear a mask and gloves when I go in. It is a very serious thing that a lot of people are effected differently by.If I could make a suggestion. Let's just talk about toys here and if you have important things to say about the pandemic, which should be heard, let's start a different thread.
My thoughts are are not meant to be rude or insult anyone, if they do I apologize.
