I mean they've kind of done that with several BAFs already. The time-spread hasn't been consistent but people who missed out or never finished getting pieces have had the opportunity to nab figures like Juggernaut, Thanos, and Hulkbuster either individually or in sets. Obviously it's not as cheap as it would be if Hasbro offered the parts one-by-one but that system would undoubtedly run into issues like Hasbro being stuck with a bunch of limbs because most people just ordered the one or two they needed to finish.

Personally I wish they'd do away with the BAF system so larger characters could be bought directly and normal figures could get more accessories and the like. The problem there would be that Hasbro would have no way to lure people into buying lesser-known characters and we'd then see less of those left-field choices, then again the line already suffers a ton of peg-warmers and they often have BAF parts.

I definitely have a Man-Thing arm. However, I cannot remember which arm it is. I will look tonight.

Of course they would need to be painted up a bit, and I'm really not sure if I wanna track down a fodder Gwenpool now just for the shoes (even though people on Ebay are practically begging you to buy her from them with their low prices...lol)

I miss the days of when we had a few talented customizers out there mass casting Legends parts and accessories, before Hasbro gave them the cease and decist.
Man, that Gwenpool sneaker looks SO GOOD. I considered doing that myself but I knew there was no real way to match the pearlescent white of the Black Widow's plastic so I didn't even try. If only it was out there in the correct white somewhere...

Anwyay, Hasbro, you have the ability to easily & cheaply kitbash a great Colleen Wing if you want to...

You could paint the whole figure white. Then hit it with Mr. Hobby Flat top coat. It's a very very good top coat if you haven't used it. Comes out very fine and is virtually impossible to mess up.

I feel like these recent releases of Red Hulk, the Hulk/Wolverine 2 pack, the Colossus/Juggernaut 2 pack, etc, are actually tests to see if people would buy larger figures on their own as opposed to BAFs. The problem is, getting rid of the BAF piece wouldn't lower the price of the regular figures.

But maybe they would include more accessories. Kind of like how Taskmaster doesn't come with a BAF part, but has a lot of accessories.

My target looks as if they got 2 cases of the Widow wave. This replacing the one I bought a couple weeks ago.

So, like most everyone else, the AoA wave didn't arrive for us yesterday. Amazon has since updated Dark Beast and Wild Child to May 7th, and the rest to... ambiguous-future-date-not-currently-given.

So there's that.

Sorry that happened to you as well. My big question -that is unanswerable - for Dark Beast (and your Wild Child) would be...do they actually have the stock and are not shipping them because it's not essential items (which is fine, given circumstances) or do they not even have the stock yet.

Not really looking for an answer, just musing out loud.

I was at Walmart today looking for their BW, no luck, but they did have 12 Shang Chis and 9 White Rabbits.

My Target finally got the Widow wave, but Crossbones was the only one missing.

Amazon sent me out the first of the Black Widow wave (ordered them all at once, funny how they’re arriving in dribs and drabs): Red Guardian. The figure has gotten some pretty well-earned shit for the head-sculpt, but it doesn’t look terrible from some angles. I do wish they had included a masked head, although I like the unmasked look better for display. The whole figure just feels “soft,” like they hadn’t quite finished the sculpt when it went into production. Crimson Dynamo arm looks great, I’m excited to put him together. Might be my only BAF for the year, as there haven’t been any complete waves that have appealed to me (Strong Guy might, it depends on if rumors are true about Shiklah & another Deadpool filling those final slots).
I’m frustrated, this year’s Marvel Legends offerings have been a lot less exciting for me. Guess it’s just down to personal preference. I passed on the Super-Skrull wave (besides Doom... glory to Latveria) because I didn’t need another FF, and had no interest in that She-Hulk. Demogoblin is half-finished because I didn’t want the particular Spider-Man variants they offered (designs are unappealing, but Superior Octopus might get picked up regardless because I’ve heard good things). I have no use for the Avengers video game figures, and am on the fence about Rage (others I want as soon as I can find them). “Age Of Apocalypse” figures hold no interest for me at all either, I don’t love the designs. It’s funny coming off of last year, when I bought almost literally everything they released (out of one hundred and forty figures, I have around one hundred twenty). Anybody else feeling lukewarm on this year’s offering, or is it me? Maybe I’m late to the party, but Red Guardian is the first new figure I’ve opened in a while.

ilove the BAF's... I get that folks that don't buy full waves may hate it- but a someone that always buys a full set, i love the "fan appreciation" of that extra character. More accessories idon't need (and if i do want an extra gun those are easy to get 3rd party vs getting another figure made- like that awesome set from Marauders) And we are getting bigger figures individually now- so please Hasbro- keep those BAFs coming (yeah- even when it's just a regular sized -or small- character!)

There will never be enough accessories packed with a figure in my book. I wish they would pack every Spider-Man with fists, thwipping hands, wall crawling hands, gripping hands to hold webbing with, various webs for shooting out of his wrists, webs as if he is swinging across town, webs for hitting enemies with, a regular head, spider sense head, shocked face, suspicious face, web wings, etc.

Yah, count me in the camp that rather have more accessories than BAF pieces... any accessories... you can always use accessories down the line... not much you can do with a BAF piece other than complete a BAF.

I might feel differently if Hasbro never re-released BAFs though, but they do now... Hasbro now sells Deluxe figures and those bigger 80th box sets... so there is an avenue now for bigger figures outside of the BAF route.

On a side note... I am glad I decided to complete my Apocalpyse BAF last Christmas... as soon as the new Apocalypse figure was announced to be a different version than a BAF Apocalypse re-release... almost all the Apocalypse BAF figures jumped up in price.

Gamestop also has the black widow with the stand and effects for $18.99.
https://www.gamestop.com/toys-collec.../11099135.html
It counts toward the 20% off of $50 qualifier, but it doesn't receive the discount.

But the BAf doesn't automatically make extra character parts a NO. Look at Shang Chi. More bits than you can shake a fist at and he still had the largest BAF part... So that's already there when the character needs it without impacting the BAF (when Hasbro sees the need for it I should say) But I absolutely don't want more crap boxes and bases and pipes (etc etc etc) for the accessory bin over a full new figure release
