My Avengers collection/display is coming along nicely, I think. Looking forward to getting the new Spider-Man and 616 Spider-Woman to replace my current stand-ins.
I find myself being really picky about Captain America, though. Started with the movie version, then the Marvel NOW, then briefly considered the Target 3 pack... and now I've put the Target CA webgear on the movie version, and will probably swap heads with the Marvel NOW. Haha he'll have the best of all three designs, I guess. |

Nice setup, really neat way to have Spider-man. I see you also enjoy Gears of War.

That set up reminds me of the fact that we desperately need a new comic Black Widow. Aside from being crazy expensive, the last one isn't even good.

Yup, the first Gears is one of the greatest online multiplayer games of all time, in my opinion. For four years a group of about 25 of us would play nearly every night, running multiple lobbies. 2, 3 and Judgement never quite captured the same magic and we always went back to the original. The campaigns are also fun, particularly for co-op. Anyhoo, I just provided both Cap and Thor with new heads. I think I'll leave them this way. Cap's neck seems slightly too long, and Thor's skin tones don't quite match, but I don't think it bugs me too much. Opinions welcome. |

Yeah, and I ordered it online too, so I definitely lucked out. The trade-off, though, is that the paint for his white & red stripes on his body was chipped in a couple of spots. Isn't much of a problem now, but it was an eyesore before.

Nice, that does look good. It's a shame that the wings on Cap's cowl have been reduced to painted designs on a helmet, and they're becoming increasingly stylized with each new costume tweak. Next he'll end up with two Nike swooshes on his head.

Since I have to buy an extra Thor (and Hawkeye and Iron Fist) for the BAF parts, I was thinking of turning Thor into a Executioner (Skurge). The biggest problem is that I would need a decent big guy bald head. I can't think of any that would work well. I thought about using an Terrax head, but it tried it and it didn't look very good. I was also thinking of maybe trying the movie Drax head. Anyone have any ideas?

I used a WWE Jakks Pacific figure head for my Ares custom built on the Thor body... I looked into the Mattel WWE figures at first since they're 7-inch scale, but even those tended to look small on the huge Thor base (seriously, what scale is that body anyways? lol). Jakks had this weird thing of making their heads a tad too big for their WWE figures, but they end up looking closer to proportional than Mattel's heads do on Thor. Not quite perfect, but close.

JAKKS TNA figures should be cheap, easy to come by and plenty of baldies to choose from.
I got my Maidens of Might today, they're back up in the $40 range on Amazon now so I'm glad I sniped them for 22 each when I did. ![]() I ordered Sentry, Thor and Hawkeye this morning. After deciding to pass on Machine Man and not wanting to be stuck with three extra figures (that everyone will be trying to trade away also) I'm sticking with Odin and trading/selling the King Thor head/axe. |

Has anybody tried making a custom Ragnarok (after he realizes he's not the real Thor) using the Luke Cage head on the Modern Thor body? It would probably be easier with the NOW body since he has less armor, but a little resculpting on the torso and he's fairly close
![]() ![]() Also, if anyone knows of a seller in the US that sells the Avengers Movie/Epic Heroes series collector bases, I need a few Last edited by Zend; 02-23-2015 at 06:37 PM.. |

I can't see anyone messing up their Cage. That dude is hard to come by.
As for the comment about the old hasbro Widow, I agree. the grey one works only because she'll never be made again, but the black suit one is just terrible. her face is possibly the second ugliest female head from Hasbro, Id advise anyone to get the ScarJo version instead.
