Bummer, just rechecked my order number from Dorkside, and it turns out they just shipped something I pre-ordered last year, not my Thanos BAF. I am disappoint. Lol well, on the brightside, I still get Thanos without having to buy several figures I don't want. =)

Nice action pic Olds. I was actually kicking around thoughts of a similar photo of Danny and Luke featuring Hydra soldiers, but you beat me to the punch...both figuratively and literally!
Thanks Blue that was scene was fun to setup and shoot.

I had to go to a Target to find the Hobgoblin wave. I am really glad that the Avengers wave is being so strongly stocked right out of the gate, made it much easier to get Scarlet Witch than it would have been online.

Although this is a Marvel thread, Kalibak and a few Parademons seemed like more worthy enemies than hand ninja/hydra soldiers/aim scientists/kree soldiers/skrulls for Thor and Beta-Ray Bill...

Nice shots, and you're probably right. Beta Ray Bill alone actually hurt Galactus so he and Thor could use more threatening basic fights.

Very cool! And fitting given that the popular consensus is that New Genesis and Apokolips were formed from the destruction of Asgard (I know that it was later said to be the god-world Ugrund, but it's pretty obvious what Kirby intended).

You wouldn't happen to be in Northern California, would you? =) In any case, I've called the local TRU's and given them the item number for the set, but they all claim it isn't anywhere in Cali yet. At the same time, I'm always suspicious of TRU and their ability to provide accurate information... lol.

Looks like I'm walking to TRU when they open tomorrow. My store usually sucks when it comes to Hasbro exclusives though, so I'm a bit worried.

Haha actually no. I was SHOCKED to see it on the shelf. I am in central IL and we are usually one of the last areas to get anything. I suspect it is because it took so long for the Avengers wave to show up here that the first shipment of the 3-pack made it on the same truck LOL.

One tip if you go looking for it, do not just next to the other Legends stuff. I almost missed it today. The TRU here has a center isle display with all the Legends on the endcap. It's bottom shelf was nearly barren. Both sides of the isle have other Marvel stuff. I found the set sitting on a shelf (it's tag was there so it was the stocked place) underneath all the cheapybox Avengers stuff and some of the Mashers.

Thanks, En Sabah. I'm glad you liked it...The "Stormbreaker" arc you mentioned, was one of my favorite Beta Ray stories of all time. Andrea Divito is quite talented; his pencils are very clean and he's a knack for capturing the "clasic look" of many Marvel characters, while maintaining a modern flare. "Stormbreaker," and the "Godhunter" follow-up, really highlight how powerful Bill is and demonstrate that he's far more than a carbon-copy of Thor...

Thanks! I agree totally with your take on Fourthworld/Asgard and Kirby's subtle parallels. Kirby was...and continues to be...the man!

I hear you. I have 15 green Parademons (comic canon) and 15 red Parademons (Superpowers version)...

Bill is even a member of the Annihilators, the universe's most powerful good guy team, so there's that big bonus in his corner. I always thought of BRB as stronger than Thor on any given day (obviously not when Thor has Odinforce type powers, but the standard Thor) mainly because they both have the exact same powers from their twin hammers, but then Bill is physically superior without the hammer (as seen when Bill bested Thor to earn Mjolnir) and Bill has a much larger scope of cosmic happenings and alien technologies. I really would like for Beta Ray Bill to eventually show up in the movies, but I don't want them to rush it or force him into a film for the sake of doing it.

Have you seen the aos pack?

Also, have you ever been to that toy store in spring hill? If so, any good?

From experience, does anyone know when TRU usually puts up stuff on their website? Like in the early morning, afternoons, weekdays, weekends?

@Olds442

Thanks for the compliment, man! I've noticed your recent Marvel and DC line-ups both here and on Fwoosh and enjoyed them greatly...not to mention the bang up customs you've made. I want that 'Lex with armor' set you put together! lol

Got my S.H.I.E.L.D three pack! Awesome set, the paint apps on all 6 of them at my TRU looked great except for one had a scuff mark on Coulson's forehead. Coulson is definitely the star of this set, his body mold looks great without sacrificing much articulation and the paint apps are very sharp. If you have a 6" scale cell phone accessory, it's really easy to get his left hand up to his ear like he's talking on one. The only problems he has is his right hand's trigger finger is molded to the other fingers so he can't actually hold his gun properly, and his feet can't tilt up because of the sculpting of his pants cuff, so he's a bit tricky to get standing.

Really hope that Hasbro takes advantage of this pure gold of a body mold (rhyme time, sound the chime) and give us a S.H.I.E.L.D/Hydra army building pack of suited agents.
