I haven't seen the video yet, but I have heard the new Movie Venom is between seven to eight inches tall. After hearing that, there is no excuse for not including Build-A-Figure sized characters or Deluxe-sized/type characters in main waves since Movie Venom is the same price as the rest of the wave and has a minimum of two hands and an alternate head while a deluxe figure like Kingpin has a cane, an alternate head and a $30 price tag. I am hoping now more than ever we get a new Marvel Legends Hulk wave of some kind with one or two Hulks or Hulk-sized characters as a Marvel Legends wave. Like Iron Man, Captain America and The Fantastic Four, Hulk needs more Legends attention too.
As for the categories, I'm guessing we'll see -- 1. A character done by Toy Biz but never Hasbro is getting done It could be an X-Men character like Toad or Lady Deathstrike, as I don't remember Hasbro making figures for either of them. 2. A character from Hasbro's early years is getting redone To me, this has to be U.S. Agent. I'm still hoping he's not a Walgreens exclusive. But I really want it to be Banshee since we just got Black Tom Cassidy. 3. A character who has never had a figure is being made. This could be literally anyone since the Marvel Universe has thousands of heroes, villains and supporting characters that could take that place. I won't even try to guess here. 4. A character only done in Hasbro's 3.75 inches is being made I am hoping it's Firestar, especially since we don't know who the "TV 1" and "TV 2" figures will be for the retro Spider-Man wave. I don't know if that's who it is, but that's who I hope it is most. Also, did they even take any questions that fans asked Dan Yun on Twitter and answer them in the video, or did that not happen? I need to find the link to the video. |

They didn't do the Q&A, it seemed like the leaks kind of put a damper on the Livestream.

So they asked for questions, but didn't ultimately didn't take/answer any of them? That's disappointing, but understandable. I can see why, with the leaks being a mood killer, but it is a bummer nonetheless.
I've got the video on now, just finished the Venompool reveal. Oy. I do hope Movie Venom's inclusion in the upcoming main Venom wave leads to more bigger figures for 2021 Marvel Legends waves. It'd be nice to see a retro Spider-Man second wave with Rhino or a retro X-Men second wave with Blob, something like that. |

Thank you so much! Its actually quite dicernible with a quality image, lol. My phone does not provide such clarity.
A third Endgame wave could be fun. The first wave was kind of weak to me but the second wave really covered some much needed characters. Final battle Thor, Captain Marvel, Battle damage Snap Iron Man, with Snap damage Thanos BAF all seem like easy choices that would be easy/cheap to produce. My biggest wish out of another Endgame wave would definately be a Tilda Swinton Ancient One. To me she is one of the most needed missing characters, beside AoU Quicksilver, and her scenes in Endgame were delightful. Side note, I preordered the only figure I was interested in from the reveals...Venom. That figure looks fantastic! |

I thought I would pass on the Venom wave completely...then my nephew saw the movie Venom figure and reminded me of his Birthday. I just preordered it.

Maybe they’re coming out with a AOA wave 2 and the figure that had a 3.75” version but not a Marvel Legend yet will be AOA Magneto.
I like this custom Moira MacTaggert and will make one myself. ![]()

@Starlord67 - No problem, buddy, I hope he has a great birthday and has a blast with the Movie Venom figure.
@Sh002 - I would love to see an Age of Apocalypse figure for Magneto (and Rogue... and Sabretooth... and Cyclops... and...) if they make a second wave. I keep seeing a lot of comments from fans saying they want more waves for previous and current Marvel Legends toylines, such as 'Avengers: Endgame', retro/vintage X-Men, "Age of Apocalypse" and the retro/vintage Spider-Man wave, so maybe Hasbro will give us more of those waves since they all sold well and the pandemic threw a wrench in everything new Hasbro had planned. It'd be a great way to make Marvel Cinematic Universe figures for missing 'Endgame' characters and other MCU characters like the Ancient One, the Shocker, etc. that didn't get figures in previous waves. I also love that Moira MacTaggert custom. I don't know if Hasbro would make a Moira figure, but I'd love to see it happen. Maybe as a two-pack with Proteus? |

An amorphous energy being wouldn't be the most toyetic option to justify charging $50 for Moira.

Wow, that would have made the movie somewhat good.

Seriously though, Venom was better than I anticipated, but it was pretty damn boring. Hardy also couldn't keep an accent for crap.

Hardy has acting chops. Watch Bronson (08) and tell me otherwise. Now did he squander his talent a bit on big budget action crap over the next decade? Probably. The failure of Venom is not on him though. It’s just fucking dire, “fun” in the sense of like a really bad Nick Cage CGI spectacle or something. It’s amazing though how much you realize you’ve come to like a character when you see someone shit all over it with their stupid version.

Venom looks AWESOME! Really wish this would have been released in 2018. Looks fantastic. Easily the best looking Venom by Hasbro. Would love to see Bullethead use it as a blueprint for a 1/6 scale Venom like their Spiderman 3 Poison.
This will almost certainly find its way into my Xmas stocking, knowing my family, so I’ll repaint my customized deluxe Venom into movie Riot.

It was a perfect origin for a character that really was just a one-trick pony in the comics for decades. I’ve been a fan of the character since it first debuted in the 80’s but he was always a very weak character design. Physically he looked awesome, but the motives and personality was just crap. Marvel realized this after the Venom/Spider-man fight on the abandoned island and actively started retconning and developing the character throughout the 90’s and early 2000’s to make him a three dimensional being instead of just a butthurt entitled jock with angry pajamas. The movie actually made the best version of Eddie Brock yet. A Woody Allen-like neurotic looser that tries to do things right but gets in his own way. The Symbiote’s personality is fantastic. Very similar to the Toxin character in the comics. Gives Venom a Jekyll/Hyde personality. Much more interesting. But to each their own.

I was able to pre-order the 3 figures I want from the Venom wave (Phage, Morbius and Carnage). Loving the Silver Centurion Iron Man. If they give us a Stealth armor in that base mold I'll never have to buy an Iron Man ever again.
