It's pretty lame to see that the HC goon is just a basic body repaint and doesn't have boots or gloves. I'm pretty sick of that shotrifle (or whatever) too. I hate myself a little because I will still buy two of these... |

That's pretty unfortunate regarding Diana Rigg. She is/was one of my favorite characters from GoT. I also liked her from The Avengers. I remember being a young kid thumbing through the TV-Guide (lol age tell) and happening on a listing for this old (syndicated) Brit TV programming. I stayed up late (woke up early) just to watch the show only to learn that it was a UK espionage serial, not the live action superhero-show I was hoping to see. I became a fan of the show despite my initial disappointment because of her considerable beauty, obvious charm, and the fact that she reminded my childhood self of Black Widow (in looks, if not mannerisms) which was good enough in concert with the other considerations.
About the Hellfire goons and complaints about Hasbro's lack of effort with certain characters...where y'all been the last couple of years??? lol Funnies aside, that boat sailed a while ago on the Legends Cruise Line with the 'newly tooled head on repainted body equals brand new toy' kinda being a thing for a minute now. That said, I'll very likely nab an army of them. While I agree with the collective eye-roll on the mold and paint, the head/mask looks pretty good...or, maybe, just maybe...I'm beginning to acquiesce to the 'new normal', as have many others. ![]() ![]() Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 09-10-2020 at 10:52 AM.. So the Hellfire set is about $80, right? I assume the goons will be about $15 each. I'll need 2, so that's $30. So I'm looking at $110. Not a bad price.

I like it. I’ll need at least 6 Hellfire Goons for comic poses with Wolverine and 1 extra to keep MISB. Since each of the exclusives are 1 per customer I’ll see if I can get 1 more Hellfire Club set and 1 more Logan and Professor X set along with the other exclusives that I’m looking for. Tax and shipping are probably not going to be nice but the free Premium membership to gain early access and free shipping for regular items was good while it lasted. Not sure if I want to pay for it once my membership ends.

Something about this Hellfire Club guard/goon figure looks... off. I can't put my finger on it. Also, the head seems to be a little big for that body. But based on how the head looks, is this what they'll use for an inevitable classic Chameleon figure? Also, I wish the belts weren't always so loose and droop down to the bottom of the figure. Only a figure of the Jim Lee Rogue should have a loose belt. Characters like Cyclops, Captain America and so on shouldn't have loose/drooping belts.

Truly sad. Marvel, especially the X-men side of things, owe a good bit to Ms. Rigg. The Black Queen Jean persona, the entire concept of the Hellfire Club of the comics, and even Emma Frost's name were all inspired from her portrayal of The Avengers' Emma Peel character in the episode "A Touch of Brimstone".

huh? What glove cuffs are you talking about? Check the cover of Xmen 133.
Not a perfect figure but I do really like the head sculpt.

I think I'll be passing on the Hellfire goons. I'm in the "something just looks off about them" camp.

So why did they make the guardsman body blue and not black? It's supposed to be black with blue highlights. Not that I have an issue with it, but they gave both Morbius' black bodies despite one costume being blue and the other being a greenish color while the highlights were black.

That's debatable. There's lots of classic art where it looks more black, and lots where it looks more blue, as well as more modern art where it's obviously black or obviously blue. Me, I always thought of it as blue.

I'm in the "Hellfire Guards are Blue" camp. I never thought of them as being black uniforms.

![]() it still confuses me as to why Hasbro does shading colors over body colors. Black Costumed Jim Lee Storm and both Morbiuses are prime examples. I'm still wondering when they are going to do a Symbiote Spidey and Venom with blue bodies. ![]()

Same here. It's like it's "almost" right, but not quite. And not in the "they melded together a couple of looks to give an approximate compromise" sense either. Something is just off about them. IMO they're actually ugly. Their heads are...weird.

It's probably because the head looks a tad too big for the body. I'm down for at least 3 no matter what.
Now if only my IKEA would get more detolfs instock so I can pick one up.

Yeah, see, in that art you could convince me they were black, but what about these:
