Well shit, Black Widow, Shang Chi, and Eternals were just delayed until May, July, and Nov of next year.

Unfortunate but not surprising. I've been saying for a while now, all the major movies need to just shift up a year from their pre covid release date (or well, whatever is the closest weekend to that date of course). 2020 is just dead.

I'm honestly not too broken up about the movie delays. Only character I remotely cared about in BW is Red Guardian, and Eternals looks like some Lord of the Rings/ GoT/ Downtown Abbey shit with a sci-fi twist of lemon, and all three of those things bore me to tears as long as Falcon and WS aren't delayed toooo much longer I'm fine!

Hey, we've still got three months for more gasoline to be thrown on this fire.

Funny enough though, while 2020 has been the worst as far as actual news and events unfolding it actually has been pretty great for toys. If it weren't for all the cool toys I've gotten this year I might have just locked myself in a closet and sustained myself on old peanut butter since March.

True. I've said it before too, nothing really bad (yet) has happened to me, though I'm frazzled, stressed out, back's shot- I AM working, I am in a stable home situation, I still have my one dog (amazingly enough) all I know are relatively well, but figures and one video game have been the only bright spots in this year.

Surprised to see the Hellfire Club set is still available almost 4 hours later. That's really good for the people looking forward to this set.

The delay was to be expected. After Tenet bombed in the U.S. it was clear nobody was gonna release another big tentpole movie until NYC and LA reopen...and the way things are tracking that's not looking to be anytime soon.

I'm more surprised they moved Eternals to November rather than pushing Shang-Chi to that date.

No big loss. Hollywood & sports are not essential to my everyday living.

To be honest I'm more anticipating WW1984 than anything from Marvel until 2022 (for now) so I'm kind of hoping it keeps it's Christmas Day release but totally not expecting it will.

And yet, sports continue on because the players are too fucking greedy and the sport nerds are too god damn entitled.

After not being able to purchase at noon and sending an email to Customer service, I was able to order the Hellfire club and Old Man Logan a few minutes ago. Hopefully those without the Premium membership will be able to get what they want tomorrow.

As a HUGE baseball fan I'm thankful sports came back but I agree, greed is a huge part of the game.

Indeed. I hope everyone who wants the HC (and other exclusives) are able to get them because 10/4 is going to be a catastrophe, we need SOMETHING to even it out.

Same, for movies anyway. With my kids all being teens now, treks to the cinema had become one of the few activities we could all get behind in recent years, and we had made it a regular occurrence. Sports I can live without, as I'm the only one in my household who gives half a hoot, and even that is only about NHL hockey. Hey, you can always play video game sports. It's like real sports, except you're God.

Edit (for thread relevance):
I've never purchased a con exclusive. Do they usually ship relatively soon, or should we expect a few months delay?

It feels like even the Hasbro team knows Thunderbird is a dud, I just watched the interview with Pixel Dan and Ryan Ting has the Rogue/Pyro 2 pack covering Thunderbird on his shelf

I hope you are right, man. I never did see anything confirming that the photo of the UK fig was indeed legit. Not that I doubt it, per se, but it would have been nice to see something in the way of confirmation.

Given that people have been finding the Storm/Thunderbird pack now on shelves, I don't think 10/4 means anything.

If you put a gun to my head and told me I could only own one of them, I’d go with the Pyro and Rogue set. Thunderbird is a tad underwhelming, and Storm looks a little sloppy. I can’t put my finger on why I feel this way, might be the paint apps on her cape. I don’t think this set will be like Rulk was a few months ago. I don’t think this set will be as popular.

I’d honestly be more excited for a deluxe Storm with all sorts of weather effects, and a cloth goods cape, with better hair texturing and paint apps instead of this two pack.

This is a deluxe storm at $30. Thunderbird's just there as a fairly easy mold to make even more money off of it. Okay she doesn't have anything you want except for the price point but still.....

Im sad sports game back. It was great not having tv preempted because of some game played by overpaid whinny twits. Sports have just become nothing more than hackneed political demonstrations and too much commercial advertising.

On the legends front i love xmen outfit deadpool from the strong guy wave. He goes great on my xmen shelf.
