Collectors do this to themselves all the time. They overhype a product, run out to buy them all and then pay prices way above retail. If you can't find something then don't sweat it and wait to find it or just move on to looking for something else. It's not that difficult but that FOMO and "must have it" puts money in scalpers hands. Goes that way for everything from comics to sneakers to action figures.

Went to another target and they had tons of new stuff. All the x+men & Deadpool movie figures, two-packs from the comics, Morbius from the Venompool line etc. the Hugh Jackman Wolverine looks great. Pity the jacket looks pissed on. Seriously a horrible attempt at weathering. Kid stocking the aisle said the have a major reset planned for the end of the month with a lot of new stuff... so we’ll see.

Great jobs!

And now we'll get a classic Moonstone soon. Actually, given their obvious intentions to complete the Thunderbolts within a couple of years, we'll probably get Meteorite first, THEN classic Moonstone, maybe with the Captain Marvel 2 wave.

And why do you care if they get freaked out over something they want?

And sorry, but if I want it, and it's going to be a high scalped item, of course I'm going to get a little worried about not finding it. The problem with these things is we have no idea what their availability is going to be like. You say it is easy to just move on, but when they are main characters to a team you can't complete without them, of course they can't just move on.

Case in point, I still have yet to see the Walmart Black Widow. I was bouncing back and forth between 11 different Walmarts every 2-3 days in May, June, July, and most of August before giving up. It's utter and complete bullshit that I can not find her and now my only resort is to buy her online for a higher price because who knows if Hasbro is actually going to reissue her. And even if they do, who knows if she is going to include all of the accessories and stuff.

Thanks for this. I was able to find both the Mags/Xavier and Logan/Hawkeye sets without incident and in copious amounts, with 5-6 of each sitting on the shelves - just as you said. These sets don't seem to be in that great of demand here in the northeast, at least, not as of yet. Domino, which arrived to me from BBTS yesterday, and Mystique were also on the racks in decent numbers. The nab allowed me to cancel my BBTS orders, which makes me wonder if online retailers are beginning to experience some misgivings about the recent trend in Hasbro releases. There's been a spate of what can be effectively labeled as 'soft' or 'timed-exclusives' for Brick & Mortar retailers. I know as someone that would prefer not to comb retail during a pandemic, for obvious and practical reasons, it'd be nice not to have to wait six months or more for my online alternative of choice to finally make good on fulfillment of my order.

I totally get the point you are making and agree, for the most part. Collectors are pretty vociferous about their vehement hatred for scalpers, a sentiment that I find to be largely funny because some of the very same collectors often turn around and support the secondary mark up they disdain, creating a self-inflicted loop of misery.

I had to make a deliberate effort to put to bed any remaining FOMO urges years ago when I realized how silly it was to rush to be the first person to offer pictorial evidence of having a coveted wave or single fig. I rationalized and intellectualized my actions convincing myself that there was some valid reason, outside of hyper-consumerism, driving my behavior. Fortunately, I was able to get it under control.

All that said, specifically as it relates to Target, my Red Hulk experience was an unsavory one and I did buy a Strom/Thunderbird set from a Taiwanese retailer to avoid a repeat occurrence. I paid $20 more dollars than I would have at retail to ensure procurement and, in my opinion, it was money well spent for the peace of mind. Sadly, the set featured the jacked up fingers common for this release! HAhaha, of course! So here's where I thank you again, as the Target I went to yesterday also had 5-6 sets of the Storm/Thunderbird 2pack and I selected the one with the most perfect lightning hands and overall paint job. All's well that ends well...yadda...

Domino Side Note: I know bayonets on UZis is an actual 'thing' in modern warfare (go figure), but the advantage of range is nearly nonexistent when attached to something that isn't a long rifle. Will we start seeing bayonets mounted on hand guns next? I've no particular fetish for guns, but in my opinion you'd have more control and effectiveness wielding a long knife in hand if engaged in close quarters deadly combat with the intent to kill your opponent. Just sayin'...Maybe because UZIs are notorious for their inaccuracy, a decision to add a bayonet was made to increase the weapons viability as a killing device...

lol Seriously, when does it become too absurd? "I put a bayonet AND a silencer on my RPG!!! It's GREAT!"

As a society, we are swiftly nearing the point of genuinely becoming a 'satire on a parody of a caricature'. SMDH...

Hey now, ol'skool Sega fan here, so you'll find no problems from me as it regards Bayonetta ...that Final Fantasy stuff, however, is really not my cup of tea...

Great day today, went out to vote with the wife, then hit Tarjay & to my shock, they had 10 sets of the Storm/T-bird set, picked the set with best paint apps possible, then went home & there on my front porch was my box from Hasbro Pulse with my 5 HFC Guards.

Minor correction (because I have to be that guy), Domino's guns aren't Uzis they're Mac-10s. From what I've read, not being a gun guy, the Uzis at least have a successful record with close-range encounters while the Mac-10 was once said to be suitable only for combat in a phone booth. Ultimately it actually fits that Domino would use a notoriously inaccurate weapon since her luck makes up for it.

No worries, from one non-gun guy to another, I now know more than I did before. That said, the bayonets on "Mac-10s" just seem functionally foolish...but maybe not in Domino's hands given her probability manipulation and the likelihood of assailants tripping their way across the room and impaling themselves on them in a comically (heh-heh - see?) morbid fashion.

Just a little part swappin’ goodness. Decided i needed a Coulson more than Ross. Also made an MI6 Agent to partner up with Coulson.
S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Phil Coulson & M.I.6. Operative Liam Christopher Doddson.

The bayonets on Dom's guns are definitely stupid, but also totally in line with a lot of the ridiculous weapon designs Liefeld came up with back in the original X-Force comics. A fitting tribute.

At least the guns looked like guns and not indecipherable globs of wtf like his tracings of feet.

Well I finally broke down and ordered the Nimrod set from Amazon yesterday.

Anyone want Psylocke or Fantomex? I also still have movie Magneto if anyone wants him. PM me if so as I have no interest in them, though I do like that Fantomex's guns are made to use the firing and smoke effects. There are a few black dots on his body though, which is annoying. I do love the hair on Psylocke as they put some shading into it.

Nimrod though is just awesomesauce all around. The effects that stick into his hands allows for so many badass poses. I think I'm going to replace Onslaught with him on my 90s battleshelf. The only thing I'm trying to recall is if he actually had those pink dragonfly-like wings on his back in the comics. I don't remember them on any of the pictures I had seen of the comics nor do I think he had them in the cartoon.

Yes, he had the wings in the comics, but only as Nimrod the Lesser from House of X.

But not in the few issues from the 190s/200s of the Claremont run?

Damn my Walmart had the goods stocked tonight!
They had an entire case out of the Fixit wave and a ton of the individual Fox X figures. Kang was always the only figure from his wave I ever cared about but I did look over the rest and except for the game figures they all seem good. I never really cared about movie Mystique so I hardly even looked at that figure but I was seriously disappointed to see how bad Logan's jacket weathered paint effects look in hand. It's less worn and torn and more sloppy drunk which sucks because I was excited about that figure when it was revealed.

Onto the two I got. I always figured I'd wind up getting Domino since she was a standout character in that movie but I also figured that I'd maybe wait and catch it later for a few bucks off, instead I saw it in person and was just like "fuck waiting that toy looks good!" Literally my only non-positive thought is that I find it weird how she has her very detailed real looking Mac-10s but then her pistol is a comic one that came with the Deadly Origin Black Widow, just a little strange that they did that. Everything else is aces here.
Kang has been lord of my wants-list for so long that this figure could best be described as wish-fulfillment to me and oh does he deliver. He's very comparable to the Super Skrull wave Doom in that he's an entirely new well done sculpt, nicely painted, and just overall excellent. I'm beyond thrilled with how well this figure was made. He's so good I think he could have just come with alternate hands and I'd still be preaching his glory but then even his future rifle is well sculpted and detailed. Easily a contender for figure of the year.

That Kang looks so very damn good. I'm excited to get my order from BBTS...whenever that will be.

Now please deliver Immortus, Hasbro.

...you can do it. I believe in you guys.

Nope. You want the alternate head, and no wings.
