I’m trying to figure out which point is best to be “satisfied” with the collection. I’m starting to branch out into other lines, and stretching my wallet out too far. I’m also in the process of moving and sinking time and money into remodeling a house. I’m going to have to kick the completionist habit, and get picky... even in the legends game. Selling through my ToyBiz stuff and cycling though the collection seems like too much time and not enough return. We will see, I need to change something and Hasbro is cranking out great product like crazy across all their lines.

Maybe they will finally explain their Hasbro Pulse membership perks soon. That could really screw up my thinking, lol.

I read somewhere about a War Machine helmet prop. I’m assuming a straight repaint.

Yup, straight repaint... Really bums me out too 'cause if it was the IM2 helmet with the forehead segments I would've instantly bought it!

Luke Skywalker IS Mark Hammill, Marty McFly IS Michael J. Fox, Peter Venkman IS Bill Murray, etc, etc, etc...
Every time someone that knows Star Wars sees Mark Hammill, they associate him with Luke Skywalker. If you've seen BttF, you associate Michael Fox with Marty McFly.

Iron Man is not Robert Downey, Captain America is not Chris Evans, etc, etc, etc...
They are characters that can be done differently, but the actors are not the final, ultimate version of these characters. I see MCU Ant-Man and it's the guy from Clueless. I see Thor and it's that guy from Cabin in the Woods. The MCU actors often had careers before the MCU and the actors can be associated with different characters than just the MCU characters.

Let's just say that they had cast Mark Hammill as Dr. Strange. When you saw that action figure, would you see Dr. Strange or would you see Luke Skywalker wearing a Dr. Strange costume?

So I get why people see an MCU figure with an actor's likeness and they just see a figure of a real-life person dressed up as a comic character.

I can't have "that same energy applied to other properties" because it doesn't make sense. Why would I hate a Ghostbusters action figure that looked like Dan Akroyd? Dan Akroyd IS a Ghostbuster.

You defined it perfectly bro. I see Mark Hammill as Luke, but I see the definitive classic comic based Thor in my 80th anniversary fig of him, not Hemsworth. All the other lines mentioned were 1st live action movies with actors portraying the character. TMNT figs are not based on any actors.

There are rules, even if self-imposed by the companies, against depicting tobacco with toys that children might get. In the Overwatch game McCree is constantly smoking a cigar but on the Hasbro figure it's totally absent.

The figure is going to be online only though, right?

Ooo... I like it! Also if you take off the vest I wonder if you can turn him into Xavier with an ugly tie.

If it's the Marvel Monday reveal, it'll be available for pre-order online and possibly at GameStop (while they're around) and Best Buy etc.

They are still literally “actors” you would have on display. As far as TMNT, can I introduce you to Big Daddy Cool Diesel, aka Kevin Nash, James Saito, or the upcoming Judith Hoag? If you don’t mind me asking?

^ Great pic! It seems like a lot of people don't like that Falcon costume, but that's my fav Falcon costume... mostly because it is his same costume from Disney Infinity I think. I can't find the Fixit wave anywhere though right now.

If this is a fan channel figure then like Veronica Mars noted it will find its way to some physical locations. Now if this were a strict Pulse exclusive and carried something like a 14+ age suggestion as opposed to the standard 4+ that the line regularly has then I could see Hasbro getting a cigar included, like how the Pulse exclusive Logan and Charles pack had the bloody claws but the Deadpool movie figures are widely available and feature no blood.

Moot point, Disney doesn’t allow smoking depictions in anything they sign off on. Case in point: MCU Howard the Duck can’t have a cigar, everything on Disney+ that has smoking carries a content warning. Jolly J. Jonah looks good, although I was figuring a blue vest.

No cigar for JJJ...but at least we got Deadpool's JO plushy. They can rationalize by saying it's just DP's favorite toy...but anyone who saw the film knows what kind of toy it actually is.

Man, I have never really watched too many of Anthony's reviews, but after that video, I'll stay away. Dude needs a new hobby apparently.
I saw the JJJ news too. I'm excited for that figure!

JJJ is shipping the same day as Black Cat, it would be nice if they would let us combine the orders and save on shipping

I'd be willing to bet Firestar will ship at the same time, likely to be able to be preordered the first Monday of December.

^ That newspaper looks awful, I'd have much rather they used comic art for the character photos, or even those stock pictures they always use on merch like kid's shirts, party hats, coloring books, etc...
